I'm so glad
this game was created. I'm a Super Mario Bros 2 nut and the All-Stars
version rocks! Super Mario All-Stars is a compilation of all the NES mario
games in one game..... with SNES graphics! What could be better? I'll
tell you what, an extra episode!(Super Mario: the lost levels). I love
this game.
Graphics: (7/10) All of your favorite Mario
classics are back in stunning (yes, stunning!) 16-bit graphics. Really,
the designers did a great job. Personally I think All-Stars looks better
than Super Mario World.
Sound: (5/10) The music hasn't been changed
much. The quality has definitely improved, but it's still pretty much
the same beep-beep-boop stuff. Which is probably a good thing... I mean
it's Mario! Anyway, all the other sounds were probably re-done, but they're
about the same.
Fun: (8/10) This really just depends on
if you're a Mario fan. Personally I stick to the Mario 2 action with occational
Mario 3 battle mode matches with my friend Josh. All of the original game
physics are in place, so the games still have the same feel; major bonus!
I dig Mario, Fun level = 8.
Creativity: (6/10) Transferring the old
Marios to SNES was a really good idea, and the bonus levels are a nice
addition (though I think they're rather difficult), but as far as "creativity,"
there's not a whole lot of new and inventive ideas present. But there
are some, and a 6/10 is not bad (check the ratings
system).
Multi-Player:
Yessir. Besides your regular taking turns gameplay, Mario All-Stars offers
tournament-like battle mode for Mario 3. Tons of fun!
Tips and Cheats: Game Winner's cheat
codes
Errors: Nah.
