The object is simple- You 'roll' 2 dice, and using either one of the numbers on the 2 dice, or the total of the 2 dice, eliminate the numbers 1 through 9. You win if you can successfully eliminate the numbers 1 through 9.

Example:

You 'roll' the dice, and roll a 5 and 1- the total being 6

If they have not yet been eliminated, you can either eliminate the 1, 5, or 6.  If the 1, 5, or 6 is still active, select one, then roll again....If all three numbers have been eliminated....you are out.
