These days it seems everyone is concerned about anonymity on the web. Here's a nice little tip about safeguarding at least some of it when you're using Communicator.

Go to the System Folder - Preferences -> Netscape Users -> Username folder and find the file named MagicCookie.

Copy the name of the file then delete it. Now make a new folder and paste in the name.

Why?
Because Communicator will still be able to work properly, but now your some of your details are anonymous like your name etc., and cookies won't be saved into the MagicCookie file, so some of your surfing privacy is maintained too.
