Since you said yes, I am going to surprise you a little. It is not my perogative really to tell you what you need to believe. You don't know me from Adam anyway. However, I will let you read on for yourself. I think that you will see amazing things as you look over these verses from the Bible and, believe it or not, God will show you what you need to do and what it means eventually. If you read one of these and you don't understand what it means, read it again. It is that simple. Now, on to the Bible!
First I would like you to read Romans 3:23. What does it say to you? Remember, read it again if you have to.
Click here when you are ready to go on.You probably came to the conclusion that it says everyone sins. Very good. You also may have seen that because of that fact, everyone also falls short of God's glory. Needless to say, things don't look very good yet. We'll get there, though, don't worry. :)
Next, I would like you to read Romans 6:23. What does it say to you? Again, please read it again should it be difficult to understand. Read it as many times as necessary.
Click here when you are ready to go on.That time it wouldn't surprise me a bit if you discovered, "Hey, sin gets you death, and everybody sins, so everyone gets death." If you arrived at that conclusion, congratulations! You might have noticed that Romans 6:23 said "sin" and not "sins." That reminds me that only one sin is enough to earn me death. Also, it is important to note that death in this passage is synonymous with Hell. Note also that there is eternal life in Jesus Christ, which is, as you might have guessed, Heaven in addition to life here.
Continuing on, now please read John 3:3. This one is a little hard to swallow. Read it a time or two, but we'll go ahead and go on. Next, please read John 14:6. What does it say to you? Don't forget: read it as many times as you need to.
Click here when you are ready to go on.This time you probably thought that it says that Jesus is the only way, and that no one can get to God except through Him. Right on! You're getting good at this. Ok, now we'll go on.
The next passage is a lengthy one, so be prepared to read it a few times even if you got the last few verses in short order. Go ahead and read Romans 10:9--11 I'll go ahead and define a couple of terms:
What does it say to you?
Click here when you are ready to go on.That one was a long one. I'm sure you got that it was saying that if you say and mean Jesus is Lord (boss) and that if you believe God raised Him from the dead, you'll be saved! What an awesome thought! I hope you also realized that we will never be put to shame in Christ! We will not be cast down to Hell! We'll be Heaven-bound for sure!
All right, now we go on to the next verse. Go ahead and read 2 Corinthians 5:15. What does it say to you? Again, read it again as necessary. :)
Click here when you are ready to go on.As I am sure you got from that passage that Jesus died so that we who live would no longer live for ourselves selfishly, but that we would live for Jesus, the one Who died and was raised. OK! One more passage to read: Revelation 3:20. Read it several times (at least three). What does it say to you?
