Animal Crossing Ahead - A very good website with loads of information on Animal Crossing: Wild World and the GameCube version.

Please don稚 abuse the information and use it for malicious purposes or to destroy people痴 towns.

This webpage was made to show people the different possibilities of editing your town using DsPet痴 Animal Map program. It shows you items that have not been used in the game, most are called "not used". It also shows the "Mario Set" which will eventually be sent out by Nintendo at some point. Editing your save is considered to be "hacking". This isn't the case because the definition of hacking is "the unauthorized use, or attempts to circumvent or bypass the security mechanisms of an information system or network".

Editing your save is 100% safe because you can always go back to your backup if things go wrong. The "not used" items are in the game anyway, so you're not going to have any problems having them in your house or inventory.

All you'll need is;

・A PC or laptop running Windows XP (tough luck MAC users)
・Action Replay which has v1.06 or above firmware
・The latest Action Replay PC program
・DsPet's Animal Map editor

Click here to download the latest PC software and firmware for your Action Replay.

Watch a tutorial on how to use your Action Replay

Q: Can you tell me how to use my Action Replay?
A: Watch a tutorial movie I made click here.

Q: When I try to connect to my Action Replay when Animal Crossing: Wild World is inserted it says "console not connected". What do I do?
A: Click here.

Q: Is there any way for me to edit my friend's town if they don't have an Action Replay?
A: Click here to find out how send the animals you want to your friend's town. Apart from that there's nothing else you can do.

Q: Animal Map doesn't put in the character's defualt catchphrase and personality in for me. Where can I find this information?
A: Click here.

Q: Can you take photos of ALL the map tiles to help get a better idea of what my map will look like when editing it?
A: Due to the "log rolling" effect it's nearly impossible to take photos of the map and get it to match up. There's an amazing 131 map tiles so that'd take about 20 hours or more to do. Each save edit takes roughly 30 minutes. You'll just have to guess like the rest of us.

All movies captured using a Sony DSC-P32 3.2 MegaPixel or Sony DSC-S600 6.0 MegaPixel digital camera and are 640x480 with sound.

Champ says "hacker" and it should be "cheater" really

Thanks to Nathan Evans / ACC name "Assassin15" for clearing up the information on changing your character and/or town name.

Pros
Cons
Editing outside the maps boundaries using "River Super Mode"
Restricted use of terrain. If you're not extra careful editing, it can cause the game
to freeze on boot up
Editing Tom Nook's store to sell what YOU want
Mushroom Mural and Block Flooring don't work
Adding new animals
The added animal has an extremely high chance of moving out. You'll have
to talk to them alot to get them to stay. They can move within one day!
Editing your current animals
The characters default gender, personality and catch phrase aren't automatically
set by Animal Map.
Adding extra things to the map like Gracie's car or an extra house for an animal
If you go in the extra house you'll walk though the door. If someone else enters
the extra house while you're outside the orignal house, the door will open itself!
Burying fish and/or insects for you or your friends to have
They're not added to inventory list or Nook's catalogue
Editing your emotions
The glitched emotions either don't have a picture or have a weird picture (obviously)
Editing your house and/or inventory
NONE
Adding the "Mario Set", "not used" or any normal item
Having two or more of the same animal or gender swapping
Editing your bank balance, lost and found or recycler
Changing your character and/or town name

I've made this section because when you place a building in Animal Map it is only shown as a single square like this .
The game sorts out the extra squares around the building after your save is copied back from your PC.
The grey squares around the building are not necessary if you make a copy of that building or move it.

Watch a tutorial on how it's done

・ALWAYS MAKE SURE YOU BACKUP YOUR SAVE BEFORE EVERY EDIT
・Adding more than three bridges will probably cause the game to freeze on boot up. Having two or more of an existing bridged map part is OK.
・Always make sure you only add map parts that are already on the map. The only extra map part that you can add that doesn't freeze the game is "n-s 4E".
・Adding more than one waterfall is pointless because they game only shows one. This also applies to standard mode editing aswell.
