Lightninghawk and Wolfnhawk...A Love Story

Kaityblue made the graphic above for Brian & Vicki. Vicki wanted to share the story & pic.

"from Kaity....I would like to explain the symbolism in the balloon picture I made for Vicki. You will notice that Vicki's balloon is Leaning to symbolize an upset and that she will need people to lean on, yet her and Brians balloon are still touching to represent the fact that they are and always will be connected. The Hawk as you see is flying in the opposite direction to the direction Vicki's balloon is heading to symbolize he is going to another plane in the heavens. The hearts show their great love, and as the hearts are connected, they are still seperating, but yet they are between them to represent love knows no distance. Also the hearts are going in the direction of Brians balloon and hawk to show that with him he is taking Vickis love to hold always. If you look at it right to left. If you look at the hearts left to right you see that the hearts are heading to Vicki, as Brian goes in another direction, his heart is going out to Vicki with all of his love. I hope this makes sense, I thought long and hard to come up with just the right graphic for a very special lady"

We lost touch with Brian on Monday, April 25 about 4:30 pm when he called his wife, Vicki, from Rock Springs, WY and was heading West to San Francisco. Everything seemed normal at that time. But, two days later Brian was found. Brian's wife received word around 3:15 pm on April 27, 2005 that her worst fears had been realized. Her darling "Brina" was dead. We don't know what transpired during those 2 days but at some point, Brian decided to end his life. You can imagine what a shock this was for his wife and family and friends. Vicki is devastated. But, MSM Trucking company, the company he drove for, has been a great help to her as have some of their close friends on a cyber bulletin board they posted on. Two of those friends rushed to her side as soon as they heard he was missing and have remained there ever since.
Arrangements have been made to have his truck, driven back to Ontario to his wife and the driver friends will be bringing his ashes back with them in the truck, a last ride home. They traveled down I-80 between Winnemucca, NV and Harley, Ontario, Canada and arrived home with "Brina" on Friday evening just after the memorial service began. Many who wished to remember and honor him and his wife had placed white balloonsand streamers for Brian for peace and spirituality and red balloonsand streamers for Vicki for strength along the ramps and overpasses on I-80 where the truck had been traveling. Others who were not close enough to do this lit white and red candles and/or wore white and red ribbons and observed 2 minutes of silence on Friday during the memorial service which took place at 2:00 pm EST. We believe in this way Brian felt our love for both him and Vicki.

For those of you who helped in the search, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We appreciate everything you have done or tried to do for us. Many have emailed their condolences and support to this administrator and we are very grateful for them and have shared many with his wife and friends.
Just so that you know that your efforts were for a good and decent and caring man, I want to share with you the reason why Brian is bald. Two of our friends are fighting Breast Cancer and undergoing chemothrapy and Radiation treatment and as a result are losing their hair. To honor those two women, Brian volunteered to have his head shaved. That's just the kind of man he was. I doubt that there is anything Brian would not have done for his friends.
God bless each and every one of you who tried to help in whatever way and keep you safe from harm.
With thankful hearts,
Friends of Brian Alden aka Lightninghawk

We want to thank everyone who was helping us to look for Brian. We now know the truth about how Brian died and while tragic, we know he is now at peace in heaven where he is smiling down on all of us with that big mischievous grin of his. He will be sorely missed.
Thank you,
Friends of Brian Alden
