Game Review In a tightly fought game, Hesperia Christian prevailed to beat Marin Academy Wildcats 45-36. The game was in question until the final minute. Mike Maerzluft lead the Patriots with a double double of 12 points and 10 rebounds. Jonny Barton and Mike Petersen supported the victory with 11 points a piece. HCS shot a phenomenal 78% from the charity line. Adam Lewis of Marin Academy led the Wildcats with 10 points.

Game Preview Hesperia Christian opens up against Marin Academy of San Rafael in Northern California in the first game of the VCA Santa Maria Holiday Tournament at 5:30 pm. HCS is now 5-4 winning their last game against California Lutheran 61-44. Marin Academy is 3-3 with one game unreported. They play in the BCL West 1 League and average 46 points a game. They lost last Friday to Athenian of Danville.

This is the fifth year that Hesperia Christian will play in this tournament. In all four years previous HCS has won two games and lost two games each tournament. During this period HCS has played schools like Buckley twice, Brethren Christian, St Lawrence Academy (twice) and Grace Brethren.
