Max & His
Grandparents
By way of background for
the reader:
These events were e-mailed to me by a very good friend,
Terri. Her mother transitioned from the physical at Terri's sister's, nicknamed
"Cricket", house about four-and-one-half years ago. Their Dad unexpectedly
transitioned on April 25, 2008 after surgery and his physical remains were
cremated four days later. The following exchanges took place thirteen days after
his essence, energy or soul exited his body for the final time during this
incarnation.
My younger sister was sitting in her
computer room at her house listening to some songs and thinking about our Mom.
As a result of her thoughts, she started crying.
While she sat there crying at the computer desk about two feet away from
the bed Mom was in when she transitioned from being in the physical form,
"Cricket's" 3-1/2 year old son, Max came in the room and asks,
"Mommy, why are you crying?"
As best she could, she explained to him
"Well, Max, I miss my mommy.
"
Taking that information in, Max looks at
her then at the bed and says wisely to her,
"Why? Grandma is right here."
Since "Cricket" couldn't see anyone and knew her Mom was deceased,
she asks him, "where Max?"
"Right here on the
bed with Grandpa" he continued very seriously.
In "Cricket" relating the events to my friend Terri, she indicates
she was so taken aback at this revelation from her young son she didn't know
what to say to him.
Recovering from the
revelation of his grandparents presence, she asks him, "Did they say
anything?"
Max quickly replies, "They said
they are sorry."
This information could only come from those directly
involved as outsiders would not know of all the turmoil and pain that we, all
their children, have gone through these past few years.
Max then told reports "Grandma said she
was going to stick around because of some people in heaven".
Neither Terri
nor "Cricket" have any idea what their Mom meant by the statement because of
some people in heaven. Cricket's second child is close to the delivery date Mom
further asks Max to assure Cricket also that "Grandma would be back again to visit when it snows."
Both my friend Terri and "Cricket" found the fact that she was with
our father really odd, because their realationship here was very
rocky.
Later when Max and "Cricket" went
back into the computer room Max indicated, "they're gone.
Terri tells this is
not the first time Max has seen his maternal grandmother.
For the reader's
information, Max never met his maternal "Grandma" as she passed away about a
year before he was born. Ter - this should be in the same type as the rest
of the interchange between Cricket & Max
Terri asked her sister to keep track of what Max says about his
maternal grandparents and Cricket promised she would.
Their brother Marc showed up later that day at Terri's and
she told him about Max and their sister.. Marc and Terri both were struck
how funny it is that when something like this
happens and you
loose, seemingly forever through death, it results in your suddenly opening
your eyes and seeing things you never saw before. I think, because of his
comment to her, Marc took alot of comfort in what Max shared. He said "well
I guess all those bad things really do go away when you get up
there."
