happy giggles
'come play with me' they say
rolling around in the grass
prentending we could talk to bugs
pretenting we could dig a hole in the ground
and come out in china
woundering if we would really come out upside down
laying on a beach towel
face up
in our bathing sutes
having pretend picnics
on the little yellow picnic table
on the green front yard
playing house
remembering what it was like to be happy
remembering what it was like to be carefree
Why are little boys and little girls
so eager to grow up?
I miss being little
not having money wasnt important
not having anything to do
wasnt an opption
being bored
was never a reality
when your little
every one believes what you say
no matter what it is
cuz they know your pretending
"Grow up" is what they say now
