Taping a rifle Just like anything else, rifles should be taped and ready BEFORE practice starts. To tape a rifle you're going to need a few things. You'll need some STRAPPING TAPE, WHITE ELECTRICAL TAPE, PHILIPS HEAD SCREW DRIVER, and some FOAM CUSHION.
Basic Hands Right flat, the rifle is at your waist. It must be flat, therefore the tip should be slightly lifted. Place your right hand at the neck (don't wrap your thumb!! Press it to the side of the rifle. This gives you more control) and your left hand over the tip. Unlike sabre, to initiate a spin, push with the left hand on the count before the start. Tossing Before tossing a rifle you should warm up, by doing some spins. ( if you are new to rifle, start out doing 10, then 25, then 50, then 100 spins. Gradually go up). When practicing your tosses, always remember to prep, unless its a single, then you dont always have to. Toss with right hand over the butt and left hand at the neck. Catching Always remember good technique when doing anything with a rifle. Due to their weight and awkwardness, it is extremely important that everything be done as instructed. When you catch a rifle make sure to place your right hand at the end of the tip and left under the neck. Got any other tips? Check out the message board or email me at Ghguardprincess@yahoo.com
