Summary
Roger Kwok(Ding Sheung Wong)is the son of this famous cookie shop during the time of the early republican days.However,due to an accident,he only the mind of a 8 year old.One day he meets Jessica Hsuen(Ling Choy Fung)and has a crush on her.But,Jessica just thinks he is stupid and annoying.Roger's mom meets Jessica's stepmom one day and remembers that they had a marriage agreement before.Her daughter must marry her son.But,Rebecca Chan(Jessica's mother)doesn't want her precious daughter to marry to a stupid boy.
So,she works this plan out and makes Jessica and her precious daughter Tong Ling(Ling Choy Dip)marry on the same day.But,on the way she makes their carriages stop and they end up going on the wron carriage.This results in them marrying the wrong groom.Tong Ling married a rich man who really loved Jessica and poor Jessica married Roger who was really happy afterwards.Jessica can't back out of the marriage because it would bring a lot of trouble to her family.At first,she really doesn't like him.But,Roger really loves her and tries to do everything to make her happy...
Suddenly,Winnie Yeung(yeung pui gwun) appears.She claims that Roger looks exactly like her fiance which she has been looking for.She says her fiance mysteriously disappeared some time ago and now she is trying to find him.Jessica doesn't believe her at first but she and Winnie come together to try to piece the mystery together.Along the way,Jessica really falls in love with Roger.But,she realizes that once Roger recovers his memory,he will love Winnie and not her.
In the end,they find out a lot.Roger is really the son of a rich man Yuen Wah(Bao Hing Fung).Yuen Wah had shooed his pregnent wife out of the household because he thought she was having an affair.So Lee Shung Fu(Bao Tai Fu)is after his uncle's wealth.He finds a orpan and pretends he is Yuen Wah's son.Yuen Wah believed him for like 20 years.But,after Jessica and Winnie unravel the mystery they tell Yuen Wah.
After a drown in the ocean Roger finally recovers his memory.He doesn't know whether to love Winnie or Jessica.Who will he choose???
My opinion
I thought this serial was HILARIOUS.Roger Kwok was a really good actor,he was SO convincing.I thought Winnie's character was SO annoying.She is selfish and sneaky.The love that slowly develops between Roger and Jessica is SO cute.I thought Roger's line were really expressive and funny.I recommend this serial for those who like comedy and like Roger Kwok
Favorite Character:Roger Kwok!He actually looks cute when he is supposed to be "8 yr old He is so funny when he tries to make Jessica happy and does all he little stuff.Also when he always says "Lo Po Jiy"(Wife)
Hated Character:Winnie Yeung is so annoying.She is so greedy and selfish.If you look close up she isn't that pretty.
