Summary
Ada Choi(yun fok)plays an intelligent,smart,very kind hearted and beautiful lady in the Song Dynasty.Ada save Sonija Kwok(kwok hoon)from her deal of selling herself to this man.So they become best friends and kind of like sisters.
A very important ruler then(Chao Chao)recognizes Ada as the lady who taught him a method of curing his painful headaches.He is charmed by his beauty and intelligence and sends her and her family into court. Chao Chao's first son moses chan(chao pi)thinks all beautiful women brings only the downfall of men. But,when he sees Ada,it is love at first sight.Steven Ma(chao zi)on the other hand,is already heads over heels for her.Even Chao Chao has feelings for Ada, but soon dissolve when Ada tells him,she only respects him as a elder and nothing else.Steven and Moses where very good siblings before,but now for Ada they start fighting for Ada's affection.
Ada actually loves Steven more than Moses.But, Moses has an evil adviser named Simayi helping him behind his back.So in the end,Chao Chao makes Moses and Ada marry and Steven marry his cousin.Sonija is very envious of Ada and finally becomes Moses second wife through her tricky plan.
Although Moses has already gotten Ada, now he wants the throne.Steven doesnt wan't the throne,but his advisers tell him if Moses gets the throne,there will be no hope for the country.That's because Moses is very cold blooded while Steven is very kind and likes helping the citizens.
In the end though,Moses wins and inherits the throne.Moses and Ada have a child and.....
I don't want to spoil this for you in case you are going to watch the serial!
My Opinion
I thought this series pretty good.The four stars: Ada,Steven,Moses and Sonija's acting have quite improved in this series.Personally,this series was too complicated for me.It had too many "ancient" way of talking,but i gues that is good since it makes it way more realistic.If you are after ancient serials and an ada lover im sure you wil like it!
