The Hickory 260 watt lamp shown here is designed to be used as a heatlamp for many purposes, especially to help smoothe pains, etc according to common advertisements of heatlamps at the time this lamp was manfactured. Note the cream white film in the neck of the bulb, this is some getter material. Some of these heatlamps came in a G-25 envelope with a medium skirted base, depending on manfacturer.
