Sara and Andi then got in the car and drove for a long time. They drove from 10.30 am till 11 pm! They even ate lunch in the car. They took a picture, too.
Sara and Andi had dinner in the car. Andi had some fries and Sara had a potato with an interesting topping *cough* small cone *cough*
After dinner they headed through the Rockies. Andi liked them very much, and took several pictures... this one, and this one. Sara liked them, too.
At about 10 that night, in the car, Sara's dad drove about 2 km past the "e" on the gas meter. Sara started freaking out and telling her dad that she wasn't going to walk to get gas. Fortunately, though, no walking was requird and Sara and Andi got to watch some skinny guy at the full serve station run around like crazy.
That night they stayed in Who-Whore hotel in Edmonton. It was very cool in the fact that there was a downstairs and an upstairs (here, too) but it was rather old. They thought the furniture was totally stylin'. They didn't care, though, because they were very tired.
The next day, which was Friday the 28th, they woke up and drove to Sara's dad's client in Edmonton. They cleaned themselves up while they waited in the car because they hadn't seen any makeup or even gotten dressed since Wednesday!
Sara and Andi got to Calgary at about 5 that day. They had a little bit of trouble with the revolving door, which promptly squished the cart with all the bags in one of it's little sections. They freaked out and pushed it through, after dumping all the bags on the ground. Once up in their room, Sara andAndi actually showered and cleaned up a little more, and Sara got a little weird.
Sara and Andi went down to the ballroom that night and watched the free dance. They made fun of a few weird-looking people and Sara introduced Andi to Angie, a very open and UN-shy person :O
While Sara and Andi were checking out the dance, Crazy Guy 1 introduced himself. He grabbed Andi's hand and asked if he could brand her. Andi freaked out and pulled her hand away, but Crazy Guy 1 grabbed it again and stamped some random stanp on it. Andi was afraid the stamp carried herpes or aids so she quickly washed it off and avoided the hallway where Crazy Guy 1 was infecting innocent bystanders.
While Sara and Andi were walking around, Andi noticed a number of Chinese (or maybe Japanese) people and thought, 'hey, maybe they have that disease'. Andi made sure she held her breath whenever they walked by. When Sara's dad delivered Japanese Pears to Sara and Andi and Andi discovered that they didn't taste like normal pears and were probably contaminated with the SARS disease, Andi spit out her pear and brushed her teeth.
Sara and Andi attended a meeting where Creepy Old Guy 1, Dave, discussed skirt length with a live female model. That experience is permanently etched in both Sara and Andi's memories.
The next day, Saturday the 29th, Sara and Andi went back down to the ballroom to watch the competition. Andi spotted the hottest guy ever, so she took a few pictures. Sara made fun of Andi and called her a stalker because Andi took pictures of Hot Guy without him knowing. But oh, Sara's stalking days were soon to come.
After watching the dance for a few hours, Sara and Andi decided to go swimming. They went up to their room to change just as the maid was coming. She took one look at their trashy room and said some choice words in her native tongue which neither Sara nor Andi could decipher. They quickly changed and went to the pool.
Perhaps the Little Boy Convention should be mentioned. There were approximately six thousand little boys, no younger than seven and no older than twelve racing around the hotel. So when Sara and Andi got to the pool, guess who were there? Oh yes, more Little Boys. They were being very loud and obnoxious, and Little Boys are, and their keeper didn't seem to do anything to control them. So Sara and Andi chillaxed in the whirlpool until they left, then they swam.
That night Sara and Andi ate dinner in the hotel's restaurant. There was a waiter who looked remarkably like Chris but Sara wouldn't let Andi take a picture of him. :@
After dinner Sara and Andi went to their now-clean room and hung out for awhile. At 7 they went down to line up for the Variety Show, which was very entertaining once it finally began at 8.15.
After the show the free dance got underway. Sara and Andi went to the line room for awhile where Sara danced and Andi stalked the Hot Guy some more. At about 12.30 they went to the couple room. Sara sat and gawked at her Hot Guy of choice, Austin. Since Sara posses the ability to dance, she asked Austin to dance after "poliety asking" (read: commanding) Andi to take pictures. She did: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6.
During the dance, Myle Munroe ("Myles is a fag," Sara's dad blatantly stated) danced with a guy and seemed to enjoy himself. Dale also revealed his sexual preference and danced with 2 ladies and a guy at once.
While Sara and Andi were getting ready to go to bed, Sara started complaining about the fact that Jordan wasn't in Calgary but his (deaf) brother was. To quote Sara... "Why is his brother here?! I can't talk to him, he's deaf! He can't hear things!" Thank you, Captain Obvious.
Sara and Andi went to bed too late that night>
The next day, Sunday the 30th, Sara and Andi got up and watched TV before Sara and to get ready to compete. Sara's dad asked Sara and Andi to get a cart from downstairs. On their way to the elevator, they encountered Crazy Guy 2. He was talkig to himself about how he'd "had enough" and "couldn't take it anymore". Sara and Andi waited in the hallway to get a different elevator in case Crazy Guy 2 had a knife. Creepy Old Guy 1 got in to that elevator. He was brave.
Sara and Andi went down to the ballroom at 11 because Sara's warmup was at 12. While she waited, Andi took some pictures of Hot Guy who was dancing with a little girl. Andi just about died!
Then it was time for Sara to compete. She danced three dances: the rise and fall, the cuban, and funky. Andi took lots of pictures of Sara doing her dances:
Right after Sara danced they left. Andi got < lots of pictures of the Rockies, more than before. Andi and Sara were glad to see their mountains once again. Aren't they pretty? Andi and Sara thought that the mountains were cool.
While driving, the road got very bumpy. So bumpy, in fact, that some stuff flew through the car and hit Andi's head. Sara laughed, Andi cried. IT hurt. Oh, but that wasn't the end of Andi's pain (and Sara's was yet to come).
No long after the incident, they made a stop at a gas station. While walking out of the washroom Andi tripped and fell flat on her ass and messed up her ankle real nice. Andi made the mistake of telling Sara who wouldn't stop laughing. So Andi had to smack Sara.
Right after the gas station they went to McDonalds and met Crazy Guy 3. Crazy Guy 3 was actually Crazy Old Guy, because he put down the Fedex letter he was reading (evidentally McDonals can also be used for an office) and asked if we were going to eat all our fries. To get back at Sara for laughing at Andi, Andi went to the bathroom for a long time and left Sara to talk to Crazy Guy 3.
That night Sara and Andi stayed in a hotel in Kamloops. It was another awesome hotel with lime green tiles and bottle openers ("Fresh up with 7-Up!") in the bathroom. For the first few hours at the hotel Sara moaned and complained about her head, because Andi saw the need to show Sara how much it hurt when the gel, moisturizer and comb hit her. (Served her right). They had some pizza for dinner and watched the always-gorgeous Frankie Muniz be Malcolm on Malcolm in the Middle. Sara and Andi went to bed at 10 that night but both decided that they weren't tired and they stayed up until 1 talking about Crazy Guys 1 though 3, Jordan's deaf brother, Hot Guy, Austin, and Andi's injured ankle (Sara thought it quite funny to laugh at poor Andi as she limped). Sara and Andi were too loud, though, because Sara's dad heard them in his room through the cement wall. Monday the 31st was the last day of Sara and Andi's trip. They got up at 7 and left Kamloops. They stopped at a McDonald's in Merrit and got some breakfast then continued on to Vancouver. They took the 12.45 ferry but Sara and Andi stayed in the car and listened to music. The ferry docked, they drove home, and their trip was over.
