Ghost Among Friends

You walk by me as if I'm no one,
As if I'm not there at all.
I try to shout your name but nothing's heard,
No answer, no reply, no words said.
My hand reaches for yours but there's nothing but air.
You jerk away as if to avoid my touch,
But you can't even see me.
I look straight into eyes so familiar before,
But now that gaze is so foreign.
You return a blank stare,
A stare that gives me chills all over.
You look right through me as if you didn't even care,
But around me are all the same gazes.
No one can see, not even a shadow;
I am nothing, nothing at all.
Nothing but a ghost even to my friends.
But when you left me,
My hope died, my world crashed, my spirit disappeared,
And I became a stranger, a ghost,
Nothing but thin air.

Unforgettable Night

You took my hand and held me tight,
Dancing with the music all night.

I was stuck on cloud nine,
Knowing you would be mine.

It felt like my dream had come true,
Under the starry night with you.

Sealed with a kiss as we said goodbye,
Leaving me with a natural high.

First Love

I'll never forget your smile,
How it always brightened my day.

I'll never forget the way you held me,
It felt like I belonged there.

I'll never forget your warm gaze,
You always looked at me with such love.

I'll never forget how you made me feel,
I couldn't have been happier.

I'll never forget your kind words,
They were sweet to my ears.

I'll never forget you as my first love
You'll always be in my heart

All Night Long

The stars are out, it's time to play.
There's nothing you can do or say,
To stop the music from blasting.
This very moment will be everlasting.
It's time to get down and have fun,
To party until the morning comes.
Just let yourself go to the beat,
Get up and out of your seat.
Sing with each and every song,
Keep on dancing all night long,
Keep going until night becomes day,
Just dance the night away....

Closed Doors

Surrounded by so many,
But still, I sit here all alone.
On the other side of this door,
Watching from a keyhole.
You’re enjoying life with others,
While I confide only in myself.
Nowhere to go, who to turn to?
But I am not in mourning,
I stand alone because I want to.
I don’t need you, not anyone,
Able to balance on my own two feet,
Turning around and walking away.
You say I turned my back on you,
Look closely and try to tell me that again.
Who’s the one that slammed that door?
The one who threw away the key?
It was the other way around,
But I knocked at the door, no answer,
Tried again, nothing, and again, silence.
I have somewhere else to be now,
Another door opened for me.
I warn you, once I leave, that’s it,
But as if you cared anymore.
It’s about time I go,
So, good-bye, for the last time.

Out of Time

Don’t look at me with those eyes,
What is that supposed to do?
Your time is already up.
Don’t show me your tears,
They are useless to me.
When did my tears ever matter to you?
Don’t expect any sympathy,
You don’t deserve it,
Disgusting, pathetic, sad.
Don’t cry out my name,
Because I won’t listen.
You stopped listening to me.
Don’t ask me for forgiveness,
I won’t give it to you.
No one ever forgave me.
Don’t say I’m cold-hearted,
Take a good look in the mirror,
And at what you’ve done to me.
Don’t tell me you don’t see it,
Take the blindfold off first,
And for once, open your eyes.
Don’t claim that you care,
Because I know the truth.
Just let go, your time’s up.
