You were so sweet and I wanted you so badly
You were more than I ever could have dreamed
The first time I ever loved it was with you
My little Bran Muffin

You were so smart, so beautiful
You helped me see life itself
You were the world to me
My little Bran Muffin

You were born 8 days before my birthday
And then suddenly, tragically,
when you were only 6 years old
you got very ill my little Bran Muffin
And you died

September 28, 1996
That was the day I stopped living
You were everything to me

It has been 6 years since you left
And you were 6 when you left
So now I am at a crossroads
Not knowing what to do with myself

My little Bran Muffin
You would be 12 years old now
You would be in school and learning
About life and love and playing house
With your dollies and teddy bears

You are not here with me
And I feel so all alone without you
It's hard to go on every day

When I remember your smell
Your smile, your hair, your eyes
Full of love and wonder
Curious, always asking questions
And yet, so grown up at the end

You fought so bravely Brandie
It tore me in pieces to watch you go
And I'm still having a hard time my love
But, Brandie Alexandria, my sweet girl
Remember your mommie loves you so much
I would give the world for you and then some

You would be 12 years old now
I often wonder how you would look
Would your eyes dance with life Brandie
Would your heart beat with joy every day
