“Harrity Scaritty, on the mountain-side, in the realm of the dead, how will you escape, how will you be fed? With the living and the undead”…

Nestled on Lake Superior in northern Wisconsin is a small, secluded town called Bloodmoon Cove with volatile weather, suspicious folk…and newly awakened ghosts bent on revenge. Esmeralda “Esme” Dumas comes to the town looking to find work surrounded by wide-open nature, and most of all looking for a place to hide.

Park Ranger John Kotter has returned to his hometown after a decade away. He left Bloodmoon Cove under the cruel and mistaken accusations of the townspeople that he was to blame for the suicide of his girlfriend, a local daughter. When his father goes missing on the mountain and is presumed dead, his mother asks him to come home and take over the family legacy. Generations of Kotter men, including his great-great grandfather Harrity, have run Bloodmoon Cove Park, and John can't help but remember how much he loved this place as a boy. When he finds the squatter in the campground host house, he can't help wondering if she had anything to do with his father's disappearance. John also senses Esme has ghosts of her own.

As a child, Esme was kidnapped and locked in a cold, dark basement. Her friends were rodents, insects, and the changeable terror that held her hostage. The only thing that kept her sane those nightmare years were her books. She’s been on the run since her escape a few months ago, never expecting to find another bound spirit come back to life.

An unsuspecting nurse is lured to an ancient family mansion said to hold both ghosts and horrifying secrets in order to care for three orphaned children.

Amberlyn Lyons has recently suffered a devastating miscarriage that has torn her marriage apart and shaken her faith. She quietly takes a nanny position at an isolated mansion in Bloodmoon Cove without electricity, telephone, or ease of passage. The moment she walks into Bloodmoon Manor, Amberlyn deduces that all things aren't as they seem. The eerily similar owners distrust doctors who, in thirty years, have been unable to cure their severely deformed daughter Katerina. Katerina both idolizes and despises Amberlyn for her beauty. Childishly cruel, Katerina enjoys tormenting the orphans by telling them tales of the malicious ghost that haunts the decaying mansion.

Amberlyn discounts the paranormal legends as made-up stories until she hears the shuffling of footsteps in the cold, dark halls and feels that she's being watched at every turn. She knows the ghost is real and she must protect the children. But when she discovers a graveyard behind the mansion filled with babies who died at birth or shortly thereafter, she realizes the ghost of Bloodmoon Manor is really a family curse and she was brought there to uphold the family legacy of that curse. Either she finds a way to escape with the children...or she becomes the next bloodmoon bride.

Some doors, once opened, can never be closed again…

Orphan and widow Corinne Zellman is stunned when she receives several urgent letters from a lawyer, telling her she’s the only surviving heir of Edward Buchanan, a relative of her recently deceased husband. Though Corinne ignores the first few summons, too grieved to consider them anything but cruel hoaxes, she takes notice when yet another arrives, this time with a family ring identical to the one her husband wore and lost just before he was killed. Stuck in a dead end job and curious about the family the love of her life seldom spoke of, she reluctantly pulls up stakes and heads to Bloodmoon Cove, where the persistent elderly gentleman lives. There, with her best friend Ruby, she finds Crooked House, the family "estate". Crooked House certainly lives up to its disturbing name, as does Edward Buchanan, who is old and pale and disappears so frequently she can almost believe he's nothing more than a ghost. It isn't long before Corinne begins to suspect that her new family member had ulterior motives for insisting she come live with him. But to believe that is to believe that Rafe Yager, a hardened soldier, is entirely correct when he says Crooked House is dangerous. The longer she stays, the less chance she'll ever leave again.

Ghost hunter Rafe is one of the last descendants of the Mino-Miskwi Native American tribe whose elders disappeared during a ritual at their sacred place at the top of Bloodmoon Mountain. Rafe has come home based on a terrifying vision of wide-eyed, wholesome dreamer Cori losing her soul to an evil she doesn't recognize. Crooked House is falling and its sinister legacy demands recompense for her husband's death--something that was no accident, as she supposed. Can Rafe save Cori from a sacrifice she never meant to make when she unknowingly came to love a monster?

Back into the mouth of hell…

Daniel and Hannah Reynolds are newly married with their first child on the way when a notice comes from a lawyer saying that the remaining member of the Bonavaris clan has died and willed Bloodmoon Manor and all its possessions to Hannah, her former maid and cook. While Hannah can’t fathom the reason for the bequeath, the notion of selling the manor and the valuable items inside it begins to grow inside her like an obsession. She and Daniel have begun their married life with little more than outstanding debts from his medical education—debts that come due around the same time as the birth of their baby. After a lifetime of poverty, Hannah refuses to allow her child to face the kind of scavenging, hand-to-mouth existence that had led to her employment at the horrible Bloodmoon Manor in the first place.

Unable to convince his beloved wife to forget about returning to Bloodmoon Cove to secure a future for their family, Daniel has no choice but to follow her into what he aptly calls “the mouth of hell”—a place Hannah just barely escaped with her life last time.

Daniel’s worst fears are justified when the doors of Bloodmoon Manor slam shut behind them. They’ve been lured here deliberately, and the horrors that haunt the dark, evil castle aren’t willing to let Hannah leave ever again…

Twyla Kotter has spent the last three years of her life suffering under the depraved, insanely cruel hands of her husband Dominic. His death gives her a new lease on life: Freedom from his perversions and abuses and the chance to fall in love a second time with someone who truly cares about her—her old friend Graham “Gray” Mecham, now the Erie County sheriff. She and Gray had grown up together in Bloodmoon Cove, but her well-meaning parents had seen how young they were, how close they were getting when they were teenagers, how intense their feelings for each other were, and so they'd made the rash decision to move their daughter across the country far from Gray. Only a few years later, a year into college, Twyla had met Dominic and her hell began. But even when Dominic is finally dead and her escape from his terror should be certain, she realizes her happiness isn't meant to be because her husband never really let her go, even in death. Dominic's vengeful ghost followed her home to Bloodmoon Cove with Gray and he's determined to reunite them in death and the afterlife so she never again forgets who she belongs to…

Sometimes what you don't know can hurt you…

For most of her life, Sybilla Nygard has had dreams about a house with hidden rooms and shocking secrets. Following a troubled childhood, always being different, her adult years filled with singular focus on her career, Syl married her much older, entrepreneur partner. Tobias Ocampo is as offbeat as she's felt her whole life. They've been best friends and inseparable since they started Offbeat Enterprises together in Grimoire, Wisconsin. One of their many businesses is a publishing house which produces a book series focused on unusual homes, some of them haunted.

Once a soldier in the Marines, Tobias suffered trauma while on an undercover assignment that caused the complete loss of his memory. He remembers nothing about his family or past. Although he knows his parents died and he inherited their enormous wealth, it isn't until the deed to Howling Halls arrives that he gains insight into the legacy. The elaborate, remote estate at the top of Bloodmoon Mountain in Bloodmoon Cove is his for the taking. The reports and rumors swirling about the house, suggesting death and secrets hide within, make it all the more appealing to Syl as their next Offbeat Homes project. But her biggest motivation is discovering more about Tobias's beginnings. Although Syl and Tobias don't relish spending winter trapped in isolation during frequent blizzards, they bring along their closest family and friends to keep them company while they search out the mysteries of Howling Halls.

Winter transforms the grounds into a gray, bleak landscape with the deafening wind howling nearly all the time. Their seclusion takes its toll on the house occupants in different, extreme ways. The nightmare Syl has been having as long as she can remember returns with a vengeance. The voice of a ghost urges, Find me, leading her to hidden spaces and the skeletons of a family desperate to escape its demons…all while monstrous things are waking up hungry.

Sometimes the biggest regrets in life are about what might have been…

27-year-old Bennet Ryan didn't expect to return to his hometown of Bloodmoon Cove nor settle down as a deputy sheriff. His father is a third generation, international hotel magnate, his mother the descendent of the all-but-extinct Mino-Miskwi Native American tribe. Bennet never had any drive to immerse himself in either legacy. Yet, even after he went out into the world, graduated college, got his peacekeeper training at the police academy, married and divorced, he finds himself returning to the place he left his heart.

Fire and ice…

Growing up, Bennet's primary fascination was his older sister's best friend, someone she almost literally pulled in out of the wilds of Erie County's dense forestland. Ice refused to verify she was the daughter of ill-reputed recluse Cain Amala nor would she talk about any part of her life and isolated family home. Bennet's aspiration to be a detective was borne out of his attempts to find out more about the enigma who all but lived with them. Despite the three year age difference between them, his attraction to Ice dominated his life, especially the summer he graduated high school. Following his sister's wedding, he and Ice spent the night together. After, she disappeared without a trace. Now, nearly a decade later, he unexpectedly finds her in the same place he last saw her, and she's barely changed--down to her reticence in letting anyone close for long. After another night together, he knows she intends to disappear again. Her haunted comment about "how to bury a life that won't stay dead" compels him to solve her mysteries. Is he stirring up a hornet's nest…or descending into an abyss of horror with no way back?

Lost: Damaris Steele wakes up in an unfamiliar, two-story stone cottage in the woods, in the care of a kindly retired couple who stumbled over her while taking a walk one morning. She remembers nothing of the past forty-eight hours--how it is she got the massive bump on the back of her head and ended up lost in the middle of nowhere in Bloodmoon Cove instead of Grimoire with her husband. The Yates are remodeling their house and seem willing to do anything to help Damaris recover, figure out how she came to be in their woods, and to get back home…until their remodeling efforts uncover a hidden enclosure in the heart of their dream home that Damaris begins to suspect cages something that they don't dare set free.

Found: Wick Adair has spent his life feeling like he didn't belong anywhere and was forever out of step with everyone else around him. Coming September 2022

Isabelle Riley hasn't merely inherited a home but also the creepy ghosts that inhabit it.

Just out of college and eager to get a cake decorating career up and running, Isabelle doesn't have a lot of options when she gets the news that she's inherited an old Victorian house in Bloodmoon Cove. Without the financial means to do much of anything, the inheritance seems like a boon…until she and her best friend slash business partner Marshall Dugan pack up their frugal lives in Madison and head for what they expect will be bigger and better things for them. Instead, they find the town is smaller than a speck on the map, with little business potential, and the house that they'd imagined could provide them both a place to live and start their shop in is in need of major renovations after it was struck catastrophically by lightning a hundred years ago. Upon arrival, Marsh sees a face in a ruined upper turret, and, based on the cell phone picture he takes, they begin to suspect the place may be haunted. Weird electrical disturbances, cold spots, creaking floorboards, and unnatural voices whispering or shrieking chillingly are just the tip of the iceberg.

Isabella senses one ghost in particular is trying desperately to communicate with her and, when she finds boxes of old letters in the basement, she pieces together the tragic story of a poor man who found true love and had everything he ever wanted in this very house…until he lost it to the ghost of a woman he'd inadvertently scorned and her heart-broken, revenge-driven mother who couldn't accept her loss when her daughter killed herself over his rejection. As Isabelle digs deeper, she discovers the man was her great-grandfather, Roman Torres, a Mexican immigrant who came to America to get his education and fell in love with and married a beautiful American girl, the daughter of a local business owner. Roman is haunting her, obviously trying to tell her something about his untimely death that Isabelle begins to suspect has something to do with the woman he spurned. Kesara's ghost, and the ghost of her mother, are still here and this time they plan to finish what they started in destroying every part of Roman's life and legacy.

Coming December 2022

After a teenage pregnancy and a shotgun marriage, Danielle Knight and Andy Bennett tried to balance school, their relationship and being young parents…unsuccessfully. Divorce was inevitable, and the two moved in different directions. Andy started a successful graphic design business while Dani’s art career took off with the help of her agent, Douglas Marx, a man whose reputation for turning unknown female artists into international celebrities was spoken of in art circles in hushed tones as if he’d used black magic. Dani has dismissed the rumors, but she knows Douglas’s intentions aren’t entirely business ones when he invites her and her young son David to join him at his family cabin in the small, picturesque town of Bloodmoon Cove. Andy has been coming around again, and Dani finds it harder and harder to resist the love of her life that she’s never gotten over and can’t imagine ever forgetting—even if she knows it might be the best thing for her. Upon arriving at the cabin to give herself time to consider what to do about her ex-husband’s desire to get back together, Dani notices a striking painting of a woman. In the days that follow, she finds herself obsessively drawn to the painting. It’s haunting her and, more than that, it’s changing, becoming the face of someone familiar. Even as Douglas encourages her to become inspired by the painting, she knows something is wrong and she fears what’s happening to her. She’s no longer sure she can save herself from the face in the painting that’s becoming more and more like her own. Can Andy arrive in time to prevent her from falling victim to this haunted legacy?

Coming March 2023

Rafe Yager (of Crooked House, Book 3, Bloodmoon Cove Spirits Series) has settled in the small town of Bloodmoon Cove in Erie County with his beloved wife of more than a year and a half, Corinne. In addition to fixing up their small house, Rafe has been juggling several careers, including paramedic at the local hospital where Cori works, working in the convenience mart his great-uncle George owns, helping local law enforcement with search and rescues on Bloodmoon Manor, and realty.

Rafe is a descendant of the Mino-Miskwi Indian tribe whose elders vanished during a ritual at their sacred place at the top of Bloodmoon Mountain. Overnight, all the men "of age" had disappeared without a trace. Rafe believes his ancestors ripped open a portal between the living and the dead, and now those spirits have flooded the mountain and the town. From the time Rafe was barely old enough to comprehend, he'd been different. He'd had his first vision when he was seven, seen his first ghost when he was eleven, and, no matter what he did to try to escape the spirit world, it followed him until he met Cori. Inexplicably, she's become a buffer for him, and, with her, he doesn't hear the ghosts as much, or simply not as loudly. There are times he actually believes someday he won't hear the spirits at all, ever again.

But, given his former ghost hunting, Rafe can't put aside his paranormal past as easily as he'd like to. While he no longer hears the ghosts the way he used to, he has a vested interest in any unexplained activities and the one thing Bloodmoon Cove has more of than anything else is restless spirits. For the past few years since he exorcised the ghosts in Cori's ex-husband's family estate in Bloodmoon Cove, he's been following the trail of the law firm in nearby Grimoire that handled Crooked House's legal matters. Umbra is very selective with clients, doesn't communicate with the general public. The lawyer is retired but maintains a license for clients who require a high degree of secrecy. All the legal work is above board and legitimate. Nevertheless, every road leads Rafe and Cori back to the insane explanation that Umbra caters to the dead who have unfinished legal business. Rafe never anticipates their quest will lead to Ancient Egypt and the sinister Thoth, scribe of the underworld and counterpart of Ma'at, the personification of justice…let alone the weighing of his own heart on the scale against the feather of truth.
