She Can’t Love You

She Can’t Love You
By, Katie

It keeps getting harder to bear the days. I was watching TV tonight. So I saw you. With her. It was a big shock for me to see you with someone new so quickly. Well, now that I think about it, it’s not really. I mean, you’re Justin Timberlake. Of course you’re going to have a new girl hanging on your arm. Honestly, I was hurt. I didn’t want to believe that it was actually true. I didn’t want to believe that I was the one who made the choice of breaking up with you. Every single day I replay that moment. It’s really annoying. I hate it. God Jus, why’d I let you go? Why? Why Jus, am I so dumb? Why do you have to be with her, Justin?

When I saw the two of you on TV I was surprised because when I saw her, she didn’t look like I thought she would. Tonight was supposed to be out night. The Grammy's. I was supposed to be there with you, not her. I have to admit, she looked nice, she even smiled pretty for the cameras, but she knows nothing about you. She knows nothing about what she’ll have to put up with. She looked like she had to try very hard to walk gracefully. She had no where near the grace that even Britney had. She whispered something into your ear, if I remember correctly, and you plastered on your fake smile. The one that practically screams “I’m-not-happy.” She looked right at the camera, I thought I was gong to be sick, and smiled sweetly. That smile was so... so taunting. It was a test, I told myself, but deep down I knew that she hated me. I knew. You hate me too.

I watched the way you looked at her. When I watch you I don’t see love. I don’t see the magical sparkle in your eyes. Justin, this is so hard for me. I love you, I honestly do. You don’t understand how much of a mistake I made. I know I don’t deserve a second chance for what I said, but if you just trust me I promise I will make you happy. I won’t ever put you through any pain. She doesn’t even look at you for the person you are. All she sees is the celebrity in you. You see it, I know you do. When she took your hand on that red carpet I was afraid of what I would see, but I wasn’t. I saw you tense up. I knew that you knew I was watching. You regret your decision, too. Why don’t you just admit it? Why don’t you just call me? Why did you go and change your number? Why’d you push me away and tell me you never loved me? After you realized you were on TV, you loosened up. You put on that smile I remember the one that you would get when you would see me. I can recognize that smile anywhere. Let me love you, not her. Just come back. Love me back.

God Jus, I remember that one time when you told me exactly the kind of people you couldn’t stand. Do you remember that conversation? Let me refresh your memory. “See that there, Mer? That girl, the one who is walking like she’s got a boot up her ass, and a broom pushing her back out to make her chest seem bigger? Yeah, those girls are not attractive. They think they’re everything. They think they’re what make the world go ‘round. Girls like you, Mer, are my type. The girls that are good down home girls, the kinds that really look at the person inside are what I like. Mer, I love you.”

See Jus? Look what you’ve done. Don’t you feel the least bit stupid? I can’t believe you brought her out in public before she understood how it went. She doesn't know the drill. You went and got yourself one of the girls you hate. Justin, the way she reached for your hand was all wrong. She did it too suddenly; I always did it slow and sweet. She has no clue.

She’ll lose you. You’ll lose interest in her so fast that she won’t even know its coming. I feel sort of bad for her. I really wish you would just understand that we belong together. It will be so much easier for the both of us. It sounds like I’m begging, but I’m not. I’m trying to persuade you. Justin, what we had was real. Anyone could see that. Why don’t you understand? Justin, God. Sometimes you make me so mad! I will always be there for you, you know that. Darn it, Justin.

There is no way that her love is as good as mine. Please. Please just come back to me. Justin, I love you. You love me. That’s the way it is. That’s the way it will be. Always and forever. Stop wasting our time. If you give up now and call during a commercial break or something we could be happy again. Justin, come on. Call. Drop the girl, pick up your phone, and call me. There is no possible way. We love each other. I need you. Justin Timberlake, I love you. I love you more than anything in the world and that’s the most important thing in the world. It’s important that I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Call Justin. Please call.
