There are a few Influences & Inspirations behind who I am -

Udo Dirkschneider Ozzy Osbourne

&
vocalist of
The Dogs D'Amour
Tyla

With the close-to-almost voice & power behind it, of Udo Dirkschneider -
the b*lls of Ozzy Osbourne -
of taking a low-life child from the streets birmingham & making it big-time
plus, the almost-to-close lyrical writing style of Tyla
- I Believe I Can Shoot To Stardom Someday -

besides some of my favourite things in life, which are:
writing short stories, writing songs, photography, drinking tons of coffee
& performing for all of you to hear -
I also happen to have a wonderful wife named
!! Stacey !!
? why not click here to view my wonderful woman ?
Stacey, & I have six amazing children named
! Cactus, Blackie Clawless, Dr. Zaius, Maggie, Charlie & Jack !
? why not click here to view the children ?
nothing would be possible if they didn't have any faith in me

Years Ago, previous to being a screamer upon the stage
I was pretty much a nervous person - kinda weird on meeting new people
I would have to say a lot of things changed when I worked in Union, New Jersey at the
Garden State Parkway Northbound Mobil @ Exit 142.2
This Is Where I Was Created

While working at this job, I had met John Turner
who was at that time in a band called
FLATUS
John would always try to get me to go to all his shows...
...this is where I would meet up
Ted Shiko bass player & frontman of Flatus
who now can be found at this webpage posted below with his updated version of the band
* Official FLATUS Homepage *

Now, during the meeting of the Flatus crowd
I, then also in the time of 1988 (i believe) I entered a band called
" ECLIPSE "
along with
Lee Potcher, Blair Tilley & Danny Wade
Whom now go use the band name of
O V E R T I M E
& whom can now be found at this webpage posted below
with all original members from Eclipse but, I
* Official Homepage *

Well, it does seem like I am rammblin' on about two different bands right- well...
...during the time of being in Eclipse I was royally a nervous person
I would be at band practice- and if there were people present whom weren't in the band-
I, then would not perform in the same room or I would try to have them not look at me...
( yeah, that was a tad weird on my behalf )
Well, anyway we had played one event together as a group & I must say- I was horrible.
(my performace was just not even close to shabby)
* take note - I never said I can sing & believe me - I can't hold a note for !%#$@! *
all thanks to this goes to
My Marlboro Cigarette Boxed Red Pack Smoking Habit
yumm (________(____________________________(~)~ ~ ~ yumm

After the few months or so with Eclipse- I, still had been going to Flatus shows
to just have a good time with friends and get into some trouble at this age.
At one of the Flatus shows down in Long Branch, New Jersey
I was invited to the stage to howl away...
...still a nervous person but, in a room full of maybe 60 to 100 people
? how the hell was I going to say no ?
! so, up to the stage- to perform at that time my favourite Flatus song titled: Gonna Have Fun !
following the thrill of being in front of people on a stage-
watching the clock on the back wall- never into anyones' eyes
I had told myself
I Have To Get Myself A Friggin' Band
it had taken a loooooooooong while but,
in the meantime I had some extra stage expieriences with assorted bands
(a continuous run with)
FLATUS & BACKSEAT DRIVER
and a continuous run every thursday night at an open mic event in clifton, n.j.'s
CONNECTIONS ROCK BAR
performing songs such as:
war pigs, wicked world, i don't know, electric funeral, seek and destroy
and a whole poop-load of others
WAR PIGS
! I would have to say was my highest point !
a lot of people enjoyed my vocals for that I think
I would have to say- if it wasn't for
Frankie, Tazz + Doc of
F R A N K I E...M O B
I wouldn't have had the ultimate stage-fright suxxx attitude I have now-a-days
I thank those three guys from the past- for offering the stage time to me & for releasing this beast

anyhoooos,
during this time in life (i believe again) was 1992
I was approached by Steve Miller
no, not of the
Steve Miller Band
Steve was somewhat of a local buddy who had tons of band backgrounds
you can name a band & he was probably involved with them somehow, someway- someday

anywaze,
Steve had watched a few of these performances @ Connections Rock Bar in Clifton
& brought up the idea of getting a band started
yup, we were off and running ok ...under the name of the
" Crash Street Kids "
things seemed well for a while writing & rehearsing songs-
bringing us a little closer to shows but, for me
things seemed to have me shy away from this project
I hardly liked going to studios- paying for my time of being there
as some of my band members would vanish for too long of times- only to surface once more in a royal daze
As I waited in the studio with my thumb up my a$$ until they returned
I, tired myself of being with a band whom was more interested in the illegal usage
I never had an interest in the illegal usage- & never will but-
I was in a band- and that was all that mattered to me
so,
still during the tiring phase of this band I was stationed in
I, still performed @ Connections Rock Bar as a primer of my voice.

anywaze,
after a performance in the time of (i believe) 1993
I was approached by Joe Raimondo
who had listened to my night's howling
& asked if I currently was in a band
* I quickly answered with *
!!! NO !!!
So, that answer started a band that lasted from the years of 1993 until about 1996
I, still in the band actually of the Crash Street Kids
I, quickly departed of the illegal using performers and moved along down my own new road
Steve Miller is still active in the music world
also involved in this band with Miller is
John Steele- whom used to be the drummer for Backseat Driver
their recent band which now is entitled
Electric Frankenstein
whom can now be found at this webpage posted below
* Official Electric Frankenstein Homepage *

anywaze,
meeting Joe & being introduced to Ron, Adam & Robit
I was asked if I would want to try out for their band-
which at the time was titled
" Strict 9 "
I said I would
& things just turned out great
The very first night of try-out was really wierd...
the try-out may have been about 2 days after meeting the band-
we messed around with a bunch of songs by assorted bands
like:
black sabbath, metallica, judas priest, iron maiden & others
try-out was held in a little basement
mostly swarming with flies & we never knew the reason for that
anywaze,
what also seemed weird was
just when they were about to finish up the try-out with myself
Joe (the drummer)- asked Robit (the lead guitarist) -if he had mentioned what was going on -to me.
I, looked at the three guys and asked ASAP - what is it that he was going to mention?
Joe, asked if I could learn 6 songs in 6 days
and I said- of course
aksing what was the reason- I was then told that the band has a show in 6 days for a
Battle of the Bands
so, anywaze- long story-short on this
I was in the band on the first try-out & in 6 days we played our first event at the
Silver Lining
in Passaic, New Jersey
we performed 3 originals & 3 covers
& arrived in 2nd Place for the
Battle of the Bands
which we later that week found out
the 1st Place band - paid off the club to win their title
AHH... WHAT PU$$IES

anywaze again,
after this event the band just kept going pretty good
shortly after this event we moved out of the little basement which I first tried-out for the band
and into
Streets Rehearsal Studio in Passaic, New Jersey
we were just across the street from
Connections Rock Bar
so, when there was an event for us- we would basically carry our equiptment over
we mostly played shows- & had a good following at
Connections Rock Bar
a few other places were on our performance list such as
Studio 1 (in Newark, N.J.)- Escapades (in Jersey City, N.J.)
using our new name of the band
" Dred Not "
& I do remember a nifty backyard event we played- the inside of the garage was the stage for us then
At one point in that time- we were welcomed as the House Band for
Open Mic Night @ Connections Rock Bar
I believe that lasted a good couple months
we would play for about an hour each thursday night then
a group of different people would have their shots at the stage
& we would return for a few more songs and end the night
at Streets Rehearsal Studio / we would pay about $300.00 a month for 24/7 usage of our room
the first room we had was pretty small but,
we then were shot up the ladder to a bigger room about a year into being locals
practice was about 4 nights a week - or more
around the time of being in the band
I would spend a lot of time away from- what I called home-
& became a scumbag to the person who was taking care of bills officially living
I then, became homeless (and moved into the studio)- yes, there was a shower in the studio
(with my home-made shower curtain)
a nice black hefty bag did the trick

I would clean the studio as much as I could each day- sleep on the couch in our room-
and be woken up by the band memebers
when practice was sceduled
getting up for work was the hardest part but, still was a must
getting to sleep might have been harder than the hardest part
being, when I wished to sleep- the band whom had the room next to us would be in their own rehearsal time
( oh, what I didn't mention was- there were about 20 rooms w/ 20 other bands in this building )
around this time as other bands filled the rehearsal building- the owner decided to add a few nifty items
for all of us to use: soda machine, pay phone + also a couple of video games
Which captured the minds & time of Joe & Ron
which also had them change the band name to something that comes from one of the games titled
Mortal Kombat
the band then was titled- after long hours of waysted quarters and waysted studio time
" FATALITY "
with the band name change- brought brand new band personality + attempted professionalism
during the year of 1995- studio time was made to record four songs
Horrid Thoughts, What's Inside?, Forever Pain + Root Canal
but things with the band started to seem distant just following the time in the studio
The band had talks behind my back it seemed- the talks of having me take singing lessons!
I did have a problem with their wants & wishes... cuz, the first & only lesson I took was
$ 45.00 an hour
in the first 40 minutes- the teacher asked all stupid questions like:
what type of band I was in, do we play out often, who do I listen / like musical-wise +
telling me what their favourite bands were
to me, it was just meaningless conversation but, then the last 20 minutes I was taught
the one thing I never did while singing-
and that was to breathe and to sing from the stomach, not the throat
which I had been doing since day one of my stage life
but now, the new Hister had been formed

The band wasn't too happy that I never returned to the Vocal Lessons but,
the rest of the band was not as close as their influences either
so, be it that way... ...they also needed help
but, they all thought they didn't need it
yet, I knew the truth

I can't quite remember how the band & I went our departed but,
they had found a new singer in another local vocalist... oh well.
I had a decent long run with a good band - up until the ending months...

anywaze, read on
After the band & I split apart- I believe I spent my thursday nights as usual at
Connections Rock Bar
back to the usual open mic situations and just having fun once more
Thursdays had their regular crowd at the bar-
Rockin' Rambo with his Kiss influences, there was also Mark & E.J. with their cover band Black Tooth Grin
and then there were some new faces hanging around and some new performers on the stage
but the open mic thursday nights just weren't seeming the same after a while
new music had taken the audiences attention + some regulars slowly vansihed every other week

anywaze- read on
I still kept on making myself visable on thursdays at the bar- still under the lights + still howlin' away
February 20th 1997- Meeting Stacey & Moving to Manhattan about one week later
I left the past behind me and settled down- my better half and I, had spent our nights going to concerts around N.Y.C.
August 8th 1997- Married I was- to Stacey
Also Early August 1997- I had browsed an ad in the Village Voice
the Village Voice is a N.Y.C. area newspaper which has local concert listings, interviews + local ads for
band seeking blah blah blah or blah blah blah seeking band
this newspaper is where I saw an ad for singer/songerwriter wanted ...& so I answered the ad
This brought me to meeting Santo + John
Santo & I met and we exchanged audio cassettes of our own performances
so, now Santo had a chance to hear what I sounded like
and I had a cassette of his guitar playing without lyrics & John's drumming
my main goal was to fit lyrics into his 3 songs
and also impress Santo and his band-mates when we meet again
August 22nd 1997- was the band try-out and to see how well I could fit these lyrics in
Santo and I already met about a week previous to this try-out... so, now I meet John
John was from what I will always remember- a person with a great personality- ...very upbeat
Santo was also very great- yes, he was
There was no bass player on this day- he was M.I.A.
anywaze, read on
Santo, John had their first try-out with myself as a singer and to see how well I could write lyrics
the entire try-out was like it seemed we were together for years- everything came out perfect-
their playing, my words, the voice & the recording of the try-out
about 2 weeks afterwards we were going to scedule another get together but
on September 2nd 1997- Santo had passed away at the age of 35-
due to hypertensive heart disease & it really ripped me up
I don't know what it was that connected myself with Santo but- his family said he spoke highly of me
within that month of knowing him
& there is hardly an open space where I don't think about him
I guess he and I did have exactly what we both wanted musical-wise and a very decent friendship
I do keep in contact with John once in a blue moon but, he is very distant about what is going on in his life
who knows ??? maybe down the road of music John & I will meet again

anywaze, even more ahead
In 1998 Still, I was working in Clifton, N.J. at Plaza Bagel & Deli- the job I had been at for 9 years
& that is where I met with someone we'll just call Moccasin Jeff
Moccasin Jeff & I always talked about our favourite styles of music-
and I was told that he was also a guitarist but
he never seemed interested in getting a band together- until,
I guess there was one day that finally changed his mind
Moccasin Jeff & I just got together and he played his guitar and I sang
& we decided then & there that we were a good team
Moccasin Jeff & I tried out a few people who just weren't right but
things settled just fine for us to play out 1 event- yeah laugh, go ahead
But it was a pretty good show I must say
but of course like a lot of bands- there is mostly mishaps and we didn't last as long as we wanted
Just before the Moccasin Jeff & Hister friendship was winding down-
and the band was only a free-for-all hang-out

(this page is still in it's stages of being created- sorry for leaving you hanging here)
