The Equestrian Center at Camp Bette Perot

A view of the barn from the front pasture

The equestrian center at Camp Bette Perot is open year-round. It is run by Brownlows and is home to over 70 horses. We offer trail rides and many workshops throughout the year to teach girls about horses and to help them earn the "Horse Lover" and "Horse Rider" badges, as well as week-long resident camps during the summer months. More information and dates where troop camping is available can be found in this year's edition of the TIPS book.

The Camp Bette Perot equestrian center is also home to the Tejas Riders, an equestrian program established to give its participants an opportunity to learn about horses and improve their riding skills, while providing service to Tejas Council by sharing knowledge with other girls through outreach programs and horsemanship workshops. More information about the Tejas Riders equestrian program can be found here.
