~One Life To Live~
Night after night as I lie in my bed,
Losing a friend is what I most dread.
Why must someone with so much to give,
be denied their fair chance to love and to live?
I try to show how much I do care,
And let them know that I’ll always be there.
Every friend special in a unique way,
Never have failed to brighten my day.
To lose any friend,
A wound one can not mend.
Cherish each one,
As a father does his son.
Today may be the last,
And we’ll only have the past.
The memories we will continue to make,
In our hearts we shall forever take.
