Not flesh nor blood brings cousins together.
Only love and friendship can.
Though it may seem like our time together was short and is lost forever,
You will still be a part of my life my entire life span.
My memories of us are vague and not a real lot,
But the ones that we have sure mean so much.
Always know my love for you will never be forgot.
You always had that special touch.
That made each adventure mean so much.
Growing up we spent as much time as we could together,
But over the years our bond seemed to drift like the weather.
Words went unspoken and phone calls never made.
And it’s just too bad it took this escapade,
To get me to realize just how great you were.
Your personality, your mischievous smile, and just how
Far we would go to get into so much trouble.
But with your mischievous plans we never got caught in our schemes of trouble.
We used to make up stories to impress each other.
It’s hard to say I’ll never hear another.
I hope you know how close we were.
Through all our memories which are now a blur.
Unlike friends who seldom last,
A cousin is a part of your life for future and for past.
We don’t have many pictures of us to look back on,
So the times we shared I have to rely upon.
As long as you know you were my cousin by blood,
But my friend by choice.
Our bond will never die,
Though it seems like it did in the blink of an eye.
