Chung Mo Yim (Dodo Cheng) has a special power to fight greatly but she is not pretty. Half of her face has a big red dot but her other half face is pretty. That is why she looks pretty at a certain angle. One day the king went out the kingdom and was attacked by some people. Luckily Chung Mo Yim saved him. He thought she is a very pretty woman because he saw her pretty side of her face. He makes her to be his queen. When he found out about her whole face, he doesn't want Chung Mo Yim to be his queen anymore because she isn't pretty like he thought her to be. But since he makes a promise, he still makes her to be his queen.

Chung Mo Yim was very unhappy that the king treated her coldly so she really hopes her other side of her face is pretty too. She begs the gods to make her pretty but she will lose all her special power if they make her pretty. Since she wants to be beautiful, she lost her special powers but she got prettier. The king was very happy that his queen got so beautiful, just like the way he thought of her when he first met her. That is why he treats her better and start to love her. Rebecca Chan (the king's other woman) got very jealous of Chung Mo Yim because the king used to love her the most. She starts to plan some evil acts on Chung Mo Yim and the king...

You guys might wonder what's Maggie role in this series. Actually Maggie didn't play any role in this series, just an extra. She acts as one of the kingdom servant who got killed by the king when he got some evil spell on him. I don't think Maggie even has a line in this series but she is in the series though. Actually this series was re-make by TVB this year, starring Marianne Chan and Anne Huang. The series' name is different but the plot sounds very similar to this series. Sammie Cheung, Anita Mui, and Cecelia Cheung also make a movie based on this series too.

* These are only based on my opinion, not on real rating for the series! The more stars mean the better. Five stars are the maximum!
