Mills: Time to get
over departures
DANNY MILLS has been
speaking openly in this March's edition of the
club's official magazine, Leeds, Leeds, Leeds about the recent
departures from Elland Road, and insists that only one of them will
be a big loss.
The England defender has seen Olivier Dacourt, Robbie Fowler and
Jonathan Woodgate all leave the club as efforts have been made to
both reduce the wage bill and raise revenue.
Mills says that the departure the team will miss most is that of
Woodgate's, but even he would not have had an influence on recent
results as he has been out with injury.
"Olivier Dacourt was not a regular, Lee Bowyer had not played since
October and would have left in the summer on a free anyway, while
Robbie Fowler's appearances had also been extremely limited due to
his injuries," said Danny.
"It can only be argued that all three, fantastic individuals that
they may be, have hardly affected our results and only one departure
will be felt (Woodgate's).
"We lost one of our best players, and potentially one of the best
centre-halves in the Premiership."
Danny reveals how he and the players are determined to put the sales
behind them and focus on trying to move away from the wrong end of
the table and back into European qualification again.
Also in this month's LLL, exclusive interviews with United's Aussie
midfielder Paul Okon on his role at Elland Road, and new signing Raul
Bravo - out to make an impact on the Premiership.
LLL comes with a free trial version of the Leeds United Official
Management Game for PC's this month, with the option to upgrade to
the full programme.
