¡@ November 6, 2000 (Monday) from www.lufc.co.uk Mills fit - Woodgate and Radebe will travel UNITED'S Champions League hopes were boosted on Monday afternoon when defender Danny Mills was past fit to play against AC Milan on Wednesday and it was confirmed that Jonathon Woodgate and skipper Lucas Radebe will travel to Italy.Mills has missed the last two United games with an ankle injury and Woodgate came off after just 15 minutes on Saturday against Liverpool with a thigh strain. But Leeds boss David O'Leary confirmed today that both may play in the San Siro. O'Leary said: "Johnny Woodgate will be in the party travelling to Milan, but we'll know whether he has a chance of playing nearer the time. "The risk is if he does play he may aggravate the injury and could then be out for up to six weeks. "Danny Mills is ok and will be available," he added. The LUFC Official website also understands that skipper Lucas Radebe saw a doctor late on Monday and was told he can travel and could play if selected. Radebe complained of feeling poorly after making a comeback at Tranmere last week. The South African defender had just recovered from concussion. United midfielder Stephen McPhail will not travel and it is also unlikely Darren Huckerby will be in the squad. Defender Alan Maybury, just back from a loan spell at Crewe, will be in the party which will be finalised on Tuesday morning. ¡@ ¡@ Previous article: It's a sickener Next article: Leeds stars attracting attention ¡@ |
