Hello and welcome to my home page. I am of course J.R. I began playing online video games many many years ago. It began in 1989, I was 9 years old and we just bought a Packard Bell 486, which at the time was a rather nice computer. My mother ordered Prodigy, the only oneline provider in the entire area, and I began learning to surf through the web.
I spent many hours sifting through useless but to me, interesting materials. I continued this hobby for a few years before I stumbled upon a game called DragonRealms in 1996. I created a character while the game was still in beta testing by the name of Necimar Demonan and I spent over 2 years playing that game.
Halfway through my term in Dragonrealms I began to extend my reach into other games, including many Midevil and Godwar style muds. At the age of 17 I enlisted in the U.S Marine Corps and was sent off to boot camp. After boot I went to Camp Geiger North Carolina for my continued combat training. On base we had many PX(Postal Exchange) and Phone Centers. I would go to the Phone Center's whenever we had liberty and would log online and once more engross myself in the net.
In late May of 1999, I began playing Unknown Regions(UR), a star wars based mud. Shortly after I quit due to its pathetic immortal staff and lack of management. This would change though. I had been playing a godwars mud called Devil's Silence for a few years and when Anna(Caitlyn on DS) met a girl named Nikie my fated path took course. Nikie convinced Anna to begin playing UR and shortly after I returned to see if anything had changed. Well force had been taken out, players were actually punished for their errors and I began to like the place. I spent roughly a year and a half as a mortal, Anna spent only 9 months before she became an Immortal, and was soon actually running the entire show.
Anna had a break down, which I and many others associate with Gavin's(Owner of UR) petty manipulation of her. She came back only to find that the mud she was given, had been taken from her and handed to Alessandra, who had run it into the ground so deep the devil was bitching at us for taking up his parking space. This simply would not do. Digi(James) performed a hostile take over of the mud and the Imms began the heavy work of rebuilding what the former had ruined and made "The New Galactic Order(NGO)". Airiel rehired Caitlyn and then Caitlyn convinced me to come back and help fix the building problems.
Anna resigned after 3 months due to conflicts with Slicer(Head Builder). She resigned because him and others claimed she cheated her mortals and her friends. We later found that Corellia, and many of slicers area's and mortals had cheats and had used things known to be bugs to boost character stats. Slicer was then fired and Odan took over as head builder. I am Drizzt, Co-head builder and pretty much the Imm-of-all trades now. I perform every duty that needs done when I can.
I have lately been trying to open my Midevil mud called "The Ninth Plane(TNP)" but have put it on hold to open "Star Wars: The Force Reborn(TFB)". I wanted to provide my friends with a place they could go and start fresh, wish no remnants of a former mud to corrupt their imaginations. And so began my step into mud hosting.
