This was our squad at the end of the 2001 basketball season with Cherokee (the mascot)!! (above) Here are some pictures from the past two years 99-01 of IUP Cheerleading. They couldn't even begin to tell what it is like to be an IUP cheerleader. It takes a balance of hard work at practice, motivation (to get up for 6ams), criticism, team work, love of cheerleading, and much more to achieve a desired goal. In the past two years members of the squad have proved that hard work does pay off and if something doesn't work the first time we will find a way. And of course there is a fun side of cheerleading. This past year our squad bonded and depsite seeing each other everyday at practice, we spent a lot of outside time together. Hopefully we can continue that tradition and make this year the best yet! Go Indians!!!
