Scene 1
The School Bathroom
Riley, extras, Becky,

Riley was in the bathroom stall changing into new pants because Larry spilt apple juice all over her at lunch. Three girls walked into the bathroom, one being Becky, the toughest girl in school. She could stuff a girl in half of locker. Riley noticed the voice that was talking and didn't know what to do, so she listened.

"I'm gonna get that Jackie girl." Becky started.

"What are you going to do?" one girl asked.

"Are you gonna beat her up?" the other girl asked.

"No." Becky said.

"I'm gonna kill her." She said.

Riley almost fell when she heard those words come out of Becky's mouth. Was she serious? Riley knew Jackie. She didn't like her as well, but she would never think of or want to kill her. Riley listened in on Becky's plan.

Gym
Chloe, Larry, extras

Chloe hated gym, like most people. Today they were playing softball. As usual, Chloe and her friends would all stand in the outfield talking amongst themselves. Larry was up to bat. The teacher pitched him the ball and he missed.

"Good one Larry" A kid called.

"I bet he couldn't even hit it passed Mr. Lee" Another kid called.

'Good thing Riley's not here.' Larry thought. 'This hit's for Riley' he thought.

Larry placed both hands on the bat. Mr. Lee threw the ball and he hit it. The ball went flying threw the air, right into the left side of Chloe's head. She dropped to the ground. Everyone went running towards her. Chloe opened her eyes and held her head.

"Alright! Whose the idiot that can't hit." Chloe said mad.

"Larry!" the whole class including Mr. Lee said in unison.

The Nurses office
Riley, Chloe, Nurse, Maneulo

Riley walked into the nurses office to find Chloe with ice on her head.

"What happened to your head?" Riley asked concerned.

"One word. Larry" Chloe said still a bit steamed.

"What are you doing here?" Chloe asked.

Riley tried to think of an excuse. The real reason was because of what she heard. Should she tell her sister?

"I don't feel good." Riley said uneasy. She held her stomach. The nurse came in and took her temperature.

" You don't feel warm" The nurse said. "Your nanny is on his way to pick up Chloe. You can wait here till he comes and its up to him whether you could go home. Would you like to lie down? Riley followed the nurse to the room with the beds. A couple minutes later Chloe went in to check on her.

"Riley what's up?" Chloe asked.

"What do you mean?" Riley said.

"Well you sure don't look sick to me. What happened? Was there a Math test you didn't study for?" Chloe joked.

But Riley didn't laugh. "No. I really don't feel good" Riley said. She wasn't lying, she really didn't feel good. She may have not been sick, but she was pretty upset.

Family room
Chloe, Macy, Maneulo

Chloe was lying on the couch. She had a bad headache from the softball. She soon fell asleep. Maneulo came in and put a blanket over her. She snuggled up. He lowered the volume on the TV and sat down on the other chair. Macy came in shortly. She looked at Chloe on the couch.

"What's wrong with Chloe? Why isn't she in school?" Macy asked.

"Riley is home also. In gym Larry hit the ball right at Chloe's head. The nurse said there wouldn't be damage other than a bruise and bad headache. She got hit pretty hard. Poor kid" Maneulo said.

"My poor baby." Macy said. She gave a Chloe a kiss.

"What about Riley?" Macy asked.

"Apparently she didn't feel well. She's upstairs in her room" He said.

"I'm going to start dinner ." Maneulo said.

Macy went upstairs to Riley. She was lying on her bed staring at the ceiling. Macy came in and sat on her bed.

"What's wrong sweetie? Manny said you weren't feeling well." Macy said brushing the hair off of her face.

Riley continued to look at the ceiling trying not to cry.

"Did something happen at school?" Macy asked.

"No." Riley said and rolled over so her mother couldn't see her tears.

"Do you feel sick?" Macy asked.

Riley didn't answer. She hated lying. Macy rubbed Riley's back gently and motherly.

"Honey, you know what ever is bothering you, you have me to talk to, Chloe, your dad, and if your desperate Maneulo." Macy said trying to crack a joke. Riley cracked a smile and hugged her mom.

"I better go help Manny before he forgets to turn the oven off again." Macy said leaving. She looked back on Riley. She looked really depressed. Macy began to worry. She knew Riley wasn't sick.

Family room
Chloe, Riley, Macy, Jake

Chloe is watching TV. Jake comes in. First he hugs Chloe, then he notices the bruise on her head.

"What happened?" Jake asked.

Chloe told him the story. Macy came in and sat down next to Chloe. Jake went into the kitchen.

"Honey do you know what's wrong with Riley. She seems really upset." Macy said.

"I don't know. I tried asking her at school, but she wouldn't tell me. " Chloe said.

Jake came out and gave Chloe an icepack. Macy then told Jake about Riley.

"She won't talk to me. " Macy said.

"Maybe she just had a bad day." Jake said.

"Not as bad as mine. " Chloe said.

Jake and Macy smiled at her. Riley came running down the steps in jogging pants and a jogging shirt.

"I'm going for a run." Riley said opening the door.

"Wait. I thought you didn't feel well." Macy said.

"Uhhh. I magically got better." she said.

"Go head, but be back for dinner." Macy said.

"Ok." Riley said.

She had to get out and think. She thought about telling someone like the principal or her parents.

'Maybe they could call the cops or something.' Riley thought.

She ran down to the park and sat on the swings. Becky's words filled her mind.

"I'm gonna kill that Jackie girl when she least expects it. No one will know I did it, and if someone blabs, I'll kill them to." Becky said.

Riley decided to go home and tell her family about Becky. 'I mean how would she kill me to if she's in jail.' Riley thought.

Family room
Jake, Macy, Manny, Chloe, Riley

Jake was sitting on the couch with Chloe. Macy sat in one chair and Manny sat in the other.

"I can't believe Jackie's dead." Chloe said shocked.

"I mean I just saw her today in Spanish class, and now she's gone."Chloe finishes.

"I know sweetie." Jake said giving Chloe a hug.

Riley walks in and sees that everyone is sad.

"What's going on?" Riley asks.

"I just got a call from Molly's mom saying Jackie Peterson is dead." Macy said.

Riley blanks out. The room starts spinning. She sees and hears Becky talking in the bathroom. Riley bursts into tears and runs up to her room. Macy goes to go after her, but Chloe stops her.

"Let me mom." Chloe said.

Before Chloe entered their room, she wiped the tears from her eyes. She could her Riley crying through the door. Chloe walks in to she Riley hysterically crying. Chloe walks over to her and embraces her. Riley cries in her arms for a while. Chloe didn't understand why Riley was so upset. She knew that Riley hated Jackie.

"Shhh." Chloe said gently. "Calm down. It's. It's going to be ok. "Chloe said sitting Riley down on her bed. Riley finally stopped crying.

"What's wrong Riley?" Chloe asked gently.

Riley began to cry again. "It's all my fault!" she said between tears.

"What is?" Chloe asked.

"Jackie." Riley said.

"What do you mean?" Chloe said.

"I over heard Becky in the bathroom saying she was going to kill Jackie. I didn't know what to do. I should have told somebody. It's all my fault." Riley sobbed.

"It's not your fault Riley." Chloe said grabbing Riley's arms.

"It's not your fault at all. Becky is the one who killed her. Not you. It's not your fault." Chloe said.

Chloe embraced Riley again as she cried in her arms. Chloe began to cry to. She didn't like seeing her sister in pain.

The next day
Chloe on beach

Last night us Carlson's had a long talk. Riley told us everything. The night was full of emotion. Riley was having nightmares so she had to sleep with me. I didn't sleep much either, she was tossing and turning all night. Ha ha. Mom and Dad decided Riley should tell the principal.

Principal's office
Chloe, Riley, Macy, Jake, Mr. Thomas

"Thank-you Riley for coming to me and telling me this. I know this must be hard for you, but remember that it is not your fault."

"Thank-you Mr. Thomas." Macy and Jake said on their way out.

"And remember Riley, Don't be afraid to speak out." Mr. Thomas said.

1 week goes by. Riley still isn't her self. She won't leave the house or anyone's side. She won't be alone. Everyone starts to worry.

Chloe and Riley's room

Chloe, Riley

Riley is on her bed reading. Chloe gets up to leave.

"Where are you going!?" riley asked scared out her mind.

"I'm just going to the bathroom." Chloe said little annoyed. She has been putting up with this for a week. Then she had a plan.

"Riley, I'll be right back. I'm just going down stairs for a couple of minutes." Chloe said and left.

Kitchen
Macy, Jake, Manny, Chloe

"Mom, Dad, can I talk to you?" Chloe asked.

"Sure what's up." Jake said.

"Well it's about Riley." Chloe said.

"Honey I know Riley seems a bit leachy, but she'll bounce back soon. The doctor said this is perfectly normal." Macy said.

"I know, but I have a better plan than the doctor. I think Riley would sleep better and feel better " Chloe states.

The next day.
Family room
Chloe, Riley, Jake, Macy, Manny

Chloe is dragging Riley down the stairs.

"Why do I have to come." Riley asked annoyed.

"Come on. You haven't been out for ever practically and trust me where I'm taking you, you'll feel a lot better after you get it over with." Chloe states proudly.

Macy, Jake and Manny enter.

"Ready girls?" Jake asked.

"Where are we going?" Riley asked.

"Don't worry honey, we'll be right with you the whole time." Macy said.

"Oh, you guys are sure getting me pumped up about this adventure." Riley said sarcastically.

"That's the plan." Manny said.

Beach
Chloe

"Well my plan worked well. I knew Riley would feel better. So do I. I guess your wondering what my plan was huh? Well I decided that Riley should talk with Becky. You know like on the TV shows, they always show the victims talking with the murders afterwards. At first Riley was really upset and mad that we brought her there, but after we left, she was back to sweet, loving, funny, caring Riley. By the way, incase you were wondering, my bruise is getting better. Ha ha."

Nighttime
The girl's room

Riley is tucked in her bed and Chloe is in hers. Their parents said goodnight and Riley gave them a hug to show she was ok.

"Chloe." Riley said.

"Yeah." Chloe asked.

"Thanks for everything. If it weren't for you, I'd be scared for life. I love you." Riley said.

"I know." Chloe said.

"Just Kidding. I love you too and you're welcome." Chloe said.

They turned off the lights and went to sleep. Riley slept threw the whole night without a nightmare.
