Hecate
Hecate started as a benign early Greek Goddess who was adopted by the Romans as the formidable Goddess of Ghosts, the dead, and the crossroads. When the Titans ruled the world, She was given a portion, and even Zeus had Her keep what was Hers. Zeus calls upon Hecate whenever man makes a sacrifice or prayer for favor, and She is known to shower riches upon those She favors. In battle, She gives victory and riches to whom she pleases, and takes it away just as fast. At sea, She gives big catches to fishermen and on land can increase the farmers herds. Or take all the above away if She wants. She is a Goddess of the underworld, and when Persephone was abducted, only Hecate saw. Garlic is Her sacred plant, and is offered at crossroads where the petitioner leaves the plant, and cannot look back. She walks at night, Her three faces see everything, and Her companion is Hecuba, a Trojan woman who was terribly wronged and reincarnated as Hecate's black bitches. Hecate is the patron of Witches and is honored on the full moon.
Considering how powerful Hecate is believed to be, I found very little about Her. Most of that was verrrrrrrry verrrrrrry respectful! Be so advised!
