IP Addressing 

       Class B 133.100.0.0

       7 bits borrowed a subnet mask of 255.255.254.0

      126 usable subnets with 510 usable host on each subnet

       Each regional hub will have  42 subnets

        Each LAN will have  510 usable  hosts on  each 

Subnets with a binary bit of 0 in the "2" position of the third octet will be statically assigned to network equipment and administrative hosts.   Example 133.100.4.100

Subnets with a binary bit of  1 in the  "2" position of the third octet will be dynamically  assigned to network equipment and administrative hosts.   Example 133.100.6.100

Desert View LAN

 

    Subnets with a binary bit of 0 in the "2" position of the third octet will be assigned to the Administrative

     Network.   Example 133.100.8.100

    Example Desert View has two subnets 133.100.6.0 (Student/curriculum) and  133.100.8.0

     (Administrative)

    133.100.6.1 thru 133.7.254 will be statically assigned to the network equipment as needed and the

     reminder of the numbers dynamically assigned to the host on the student/curriculum LAN.

    133.100.8.1-159 will be assigned to network equipment 

    Subnets with a binary bit of  1 in the  "2" position of the third octet will be dynamically  assigned to the

     student

 Reserved for the administrative network equipment

133.100.8.51 - 133.100.8.151

 Reserved for Teachers and Administrative Personnel on site. To be statically assigned.
