Desert
View's 
Desert View is the demonstration school for LAN planning of the Washington School District Project. Both the Administrative and the Study/Curriculum LANs will have a cable infrastructure complying with EIA/TIA 568 standards, consisting of Ethernet 10BaseT, 100BaseT, and 100BaseFx. The vertical (backbone) cabling will be multi-mode fiber from the MDF to the IDFs. The horizontal cabling will go from the switches in the IDFs to the locked cabinets in each classroom or requested distribution point. From that location there will be CAT5e drops to distributed points along each room’s wall.
Due to the number of separate buildings and the request for CAT5e to the classrooms there will be nine IDFs on this site. Refer to the drawings below for location of MDF/IDF and the physical cable runs.
