THE SPACEPORT

PAGE SECTIONS FOUND BELOW NEAR BOTTOM OF PAGE

Ok, this is just a very short step into having my own permanent page. What am I talking about? I always say "oh my permanent page blah blah blah!!" Ok, this is a work in progress, and will for life be a work in progress, because I am a work in progress (Work In Progress is a good song by Alan Jackson). Right now, I'm doing a major overhaul to this dump.

UPDATE NEWS

Mon 18 Nov 2002:

Hey hey, here I am again, imagine that!! It's only been a few months since my last update! WELL, all I did was add a link to Pitt's Formula SAE Panther Racing webpage. Check it out...

ALSO, I took a bunch of the "Update News" sections and put them in the new "History" page.

Mid - Late Sept 2002

WOW... times have changed, and I am no exception. I updated some sections of the site to adjust for my newfound life! Right.... I dont know, really, what provoked me to update now... It's the full moon, yeah, that's it. There's something about the moonlight shining down that makes me start thinking I guess, maybe dreaming is a better term for it (thinking is bad, dreaming is good hehe). I started contemplating my dreams. Well, I have a new little site, the music site, and I got my "Rockets" page fixed so the sounds actually work for the Aquila launches! Be sure to check out my dad's hyena laugh!! ALSO, my new goal... to get this page working in conjunction with a new website hosted at www.pitt.edu. Also, I'm looking for a new name, so any ideas would be appreciated. Does "The Spaceport" sound good? Well, temporarily, that's what it has been changed to, and I've done away with that AWFUL pic I had up there to begin with. Fish I'm gonna need your help with this. I think it's better than (queue deep godly voice) "Spike's Dimension of All!!" **AHEM** Maybe I'll have the actual site hosted there (pitt.edu... it will probably be www.pitt.edu/~rmb14), and leech off of angelfire by keeping all my stuff here hehehe :). Anyway, check out the new "Music" and updated "Rockets" sections. ttyl...
WARNING- I TRIED cleaning the site up as much as possible, trying to make it presentable. Please remember that I wrote a lot of this a while ago... gotta sort out the bugs DOH!

Here's a nice joke I found on the Space.com message boards

A thermodynamics professor had written a take home exam for his graduate students. It had one question: "Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat)?Support your answer with a proof.

" Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle's Law(gas cools off when it expands and heats up when it is compressed) or some variant. One student, however, wrote the following: "First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time. So,we need to know the rate that souls are moving into Hell and the rate they are leaving. I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to Hell, it will not leave. Therefore, no souls are leaving. As for how many souls are entering Hell, let's look at the different religions that exist in the world today. Some of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell. Since there are more than one of these religions and since people don't belong to more than one religion, we can project that all people and all souls go to Hell. With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in Hell to increase exponentially. Now,we look at the rate of change of the volume in Hell because Boyle's Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in Hell to stay the same, the volume of Hell has to expand as souls are added. This gives two possibilities: 1. If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter Hell, then the temperature and pressure in Hell will increase until all Hell breaks loose. 2. Of course, if Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in Hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until Hell freezes over. So which is it? If we accept the postulate given to me by Ms. Therese Banyan during my Freshman year, 'That it will be a cold night in Hell before I sleep with you', and take into account the fact that I still have not succeeded in having sexual relations with her, then 2 cannot be true, and so Hell is exothermic." This student got the only A.
