Resident Evil 3: The Rescue At Umbrella
October 1, 1998:
Leon grabbed Nemesis’ arm. Then he kicked it in the gut. “Let....go!” Leon gagged. He
looked around for something to help him. Suddenly, he spotted a wire. “Take....this!” he
yelled, choking. Leon quickly grabbed the wire and threw it on Nemesis. Suddenly, 2000
electricity bolts got sent into Nemesis’ body. It quickly dropped Leon and grabbed the
wire. Then it threw the wire away and broke through a door. Leon grabbed his neck, and
then stood up. “Now, let’s find a way out.” He pulled out his radio and pressed the talk
button. “Jill?” At first, the reception was bad, but a couple of seconds later, Jill replied.
“Leon? Are you all right?” “I’ll be okay for now,” he answered. “I’m over in a safe
corner while Barry and Sherry are taking care of the green monster,” Jill told him.
Suddenly, Leon heard a monster cry in the radio’s background. “Uh oh!” Jill exclaimed.
“Gotta go!” Leon put the radio back in his pocket, and then he ran off.
RESIDENT EVIL 3: The Rescue at Umbrella
Jill pulled out her Sub-Machine gun. “Barry?!” she called out. “How are you doing?”
“Not....good!” Barry shouted back. “Hold on!” Jill shouted again. “I’m coming!” Jill
jumped out in front of the green monster and began to shoot it. Suddenly, it’s fist swung
at Jill, but she had jumped away in time. Barry ran over to her. “You alright?” “Still in
one piece,” Jill replied, getting up. “Good,” Barry said, pulling out his Rocket Launcher.
He pointed it at the green monster, and then fired. The rocket hit the monster square in
the chest, and sent it flying out the window-which shattered into pieces. Once all the
pieces hit the ground, Jill ran over to Sherry. “Feeling hurt?” Sherry shook her head. “No,
I’m fine,” she replied. “Do you still want to come?” Jill asked the pre-teen. “Yes,” Sherry
answered. Jill stood up and looked over at Barry. “Do you want to take her?” Barry
looked down at Sherry, who had a can-I-come-with-you look. “I guess, I will,” Barry
said. “You guys will take the stairs,” Jill instructed. “I’ll take the elevator shaft. We will
rendezvous on floor 70.” “That’s a long way though!” Barry protested. “Just meet me
there,” Jill told him. “Now, let’s get going before we meet another creature.”
Jill cranked the second elevator door open. Inside the shaft, there were cables holding the
second elevator up. She looked around for the elevator. It was at the very top of the
building. “Now, let’s see what’s on the next floor,” she said to herself, climbing. Once
she reached the next door, she quickly cranked it open and climbed up. She was now in a
wide hallway with many doors. Jill went through the first door. Inside, was what looked
like an office room. The only problem was, that the room was very messy. There were
papers and pens all over the floor, and broken desks and chairs. Jill saw five human
corpses on the ground. The first one had it’s stomach torn out, with blood all over it’s
body. The second had it’s arms and legs ripped off, and the third had slash marks all
over. Jill found a note on the ground beside the fourth corpse. ‘Steve’s Note: June 1st,
1998, 4:24pm: Today, I found an interesting article in the paper. The title was, ‘Another
cannibal crime’. The fourth victim of a wave of grisly cannibal crimes was found in
Raccoon City early this morning. A couple of people have claimed that they have seen
mysterious creatures crawling around Raccoon Forest. The Raccoon Police Department
however, is trying to calm everyone down, with no success. June 23, 1998, 8:05am: I
know it’s been a long time since I last wrote but, the S.T.A.R.S. Bravo Team has
disappeared in the Forest near the Spencer Mansion. September 27, 1998, 3:55pm: Yes,
it’s been another long time but, many Zombies have been spotted throughout the building
and I hear some loud stomps coming towards this room. Uh oh! The door just broke
open. Wh-what is this-’ “It looks like this letter wasn’t finished,” Jill said, tucking the
note away. The fifth corpse had bite marks all over it. She search the body and found a
little piece of paper with some numbers on it. 51947. “What’s this for?” she asked
herself, looking at the numbers. “Maybe it’s for a safe code for something.” Jill tucked
the little piece of paper away and looked around the room again. She found nothing, so
she left the room and went into the second one. Inside, four Zombies were walking
around. Jill pulled out her shotgun and killed two of them. Once they had fallen down,
the next two came at her. She shot the first one in the waist, and the top part of it’s body
came off. The top half of the Zombie’s body crawled towards Jill and grabbed her leg,
but she shook it off and kicked it’s head off. Then she killed the last one and searched the
room. On one of the desks, she found some shotgun shells and handgun bullets. Then she
left the room and went into the third one-which contained two more Zombies. Once they
were down, she found a map of floors 2-10. According to the map, there were eight more
doors in the hallway she was in. She ran over to the first desk. It was pretty messy, so she
cleared all the junk off. Underneath, she found nothing. But once the second desk was
cleared, she found more handgun bullets. Since she had found lots of handgun bullets,
Jill decided that she would use her handgun. Once it was out and loaded, she checked the
third desk, only to find some first-aid sprays. When she declared that she had searched all
of the room, she went back out into the hallway. As she came close to the third door, a
Licker fell through a vent. Suddenly, it jumped up and slashed her in the arm. Blood
started shooting out of the cut. Jill quickly killed the Licker, and then pulled out a
first-aid spray. She carefully sprayed the large cut on her arm and within a few minutes,
she was feeling better. But she was now down to two first-aid sprays. On the other side of
the door, two corpses lay on the ground. Jill searched them and found some more
handgun bullets. On one of the desks, she found some blueprints for new office towers,
but nothing of interest. She left the room and went through the fourth door. Inside, there
was one corpse sitting in a chair. Jill searched him and found a disk labelled ‘Disk A’.
“What would I need this for?” Jill questioned herself, examining the disk. Since there
was a letter on it, she guessed that there would be a Disk B. “Don’t they have anything on
Umbrella?” Jill said again, moving back into the hallway. On the other side of the fifth
door, there were three Zombies eating a dead body on the ground. Once Jill got close to
them, the first Zombies stood up and came for her. The others did the same. Jill killed the
first two, but the third one grabbed her. She quickly shook it off and then shot it in the
head. “Now,” Jill said. “Let’s see what you’ve got.” She checked the corpse’s body, only
to recover another note. ‘Greg’s Report: September 27, 1998, 7:30am: Today, I overheard
a conversation with the boss. They were talking about the Underground Umbrella Lab
south of downtown Raccoon City. Then I heard the boss say something about an old
S.T.A.R.S. member working for Umbrella. September 28, 1998, 5:00pm: I have found
some Umbrella files in one of the cabinets in the conference room. Here’s what they said:
UMBRELLA EXPERIMENT CODES: Cerberus: M-03, Hunter: A-B67, Hunter Beta:
B-Y23, Hunter Gamma: 6-OP9, Brain Sucker: H-000, Drain Deimos: R-056, Grave
Digger: 6-34T, Tyrant: T-002, NEMESIS: T-009. End of Report.’ “An old S.T.A.R.S.
member working for Umbrella,” Jill repeated. “Why would they be talking about that?”
She quickly tucked the report away and left the room. Suddenly, the door at the end of
the hallway cracked a bit. “Uh oh,” Jill said, pulling out her Sub-Machine gun. After a
couple of minutes, a creature in a black suit broke through. “You!” Jill shouted, blasting
the monster with bullets. But that wasn’t enough to stop this guy. Nemesis just kept on
coming closer and closer until it was close enough to pick her up. Jill pointing her gun at
Nemesis’ face and began shooting. Suddenly, Nemesis dropped her and grabbed it’s face.
Then it ran forward and jumped through the opened elevator door. “I’ll be seeing you
later,” Jill said, looking at the elevator shaft. She continued on through the sixth door.
Inside, was a large room with three dead corpses sitting on chairs, and one on the ground.
As Jill came around the corner, a Licker jumped at her, barely missing her head.
“WHOA!!!” she shouted, jumping back. The Licker jumped at her again, but completely
missed her. Jill killed the Licker, and then searched the corpses. She recovered some
handgun bullets, shotgun shells, and some magnum bullets. Then she left. There was a
sign above the next door. “Control Room-2nd floor,” Jill read. Inside, there were ten
monitors on the far wall. She ran over to them and watched as the cameras moved this
way and that. Suddenly, on one of the monitors, a door broke into pieces, and a monster
that Jill had never seen before ran through. It was big and brown, with sharp claws and a
round head with a large mouth. “What the-,” Jill said, staring at the creature. She looked
down at the computer below her and typed: ‘2nd floor monitor map’. Suddenly, a map
appeared on the computer. There were labels in each hallway, which indicated where the
cameras were. Jill looked up at the monitor with this new monster. “Camera six,” she
said, looking back at the map. The map showed camera six on the other side of the
elevator. “Good,” Jill said to herself. “I won’t be meeting that thing anytime soon.” But
suddenly, Jill caught a glimpse of another monster on a different camera. This one was
similar to the first one, but it’s head and it’s hands were smaller. Jill looked at the label.
“Camera two, camera two....,” Jill kept repeating. The map showed camera two in the
second hallway from here. “That’s pretty close to here,” Jill said, looking back up at the
second monster. “Why do we need to encounter new monsters? We’ve already got two to
worry about. Thinking quickly, she pulled out her sub-machine gun, and left Control
Room-2nd Floor. She went through the seventh door and encountered more Zombies.
Once they were dead, she quickly reloaded her gun and went around the corner of the
room. There were no corpses in this room, but there was a motion-less hand surrounded
by a puddle of blood on the ground. “Gross,” Jill said, examining the hand. It was pretty
gross, but was nowhere near the goryness of the “headless body” back in the police
station. She found nothing of interest on the desk or in the drawers, so she left and went
through the eighth door in the hallway. There were no monsters inside, so she checked
every single area of the room for anything useful. There were some papers on another
messy desk, but nothing interesting. Suddenly, she spotted a switch on the wall. Once Jill
pushed it, she heard a loud rumble. When she turned around, the wall beside Jill had
opened up, revealing a door. She quickly moved through it and found herself in another
room with shelves. As she came around the corner of the first shelf, something large
broke through a door on the other side of the second shelf. “Crap!!!” Jill shouted, getting
behind the first shelf. Suddenly, a huge claw broke through the shelf, barely missing her.
She quickly jumped around the opposite corner of the shelf and found herself staring at
the new creature. It was one of the ones she saw earlier on the monitors. The monster
spun around and jumped at her. Jill ducked and shot the monster. It didn’t take long
before the monster broke through the same door Jill came through, and ran away. “What
was that?” she asked herself. Jill walked over to the door the monster broke through. It
led to some stairs going down. She pulled out her radio. “Barry?” “Yeah?” Barry replied.
“I’m going down a flight of stairs on the first floor, where are you guys right now?”
“We’re on the third floor,” he answered. “There’s been a change of plan,” Jill
announced. “We’ll meet on twenty. Alright?” “Gotcha,” Barry said. “See you then.” Jill
put her radio away and then climbed down the stairs. She was now back on the 1st floor,
but inside a different hallway. At the end, there was a door. On the other side, there was a
room containing a Licker. Jill quickly killed it with her sub-machine gun and then moved
towards the end of it. There was a corpse on the ground near the far wall of the room, but
there was nothing interesting inside it’s jacket. Jill then left the room and went back up
the stairs to the second floor. At the top, another Licker jumped at her, but it dropped
dead after a couple of shots with her sub-machine gun. Once she was back out into the
hallway, she continued on through the ninth door. Inside was just another office with a
couple of corpses. Once again, she went back out into the hallway. But this time, she
went through the last door at the end. On the other side of it, there was another hallway
with three doors. One of them led back to the security room. Jill checked the second
door. A Zombie jumped at her as soon as she came through and grabbed her leg. “Stupid
thing!” Jill shouted, kicking the Zombie’s head off-which sent a line of blood fly across
the room. Once it landed, she ran over to the table and opened up the briefcase sitting on
it. Inside, she found another disk, and some machine gun bullets. Jill searched the disk
for a label but no matter how hard she looked, she just couldn’t find one. “If this disk
isn’t Disk B,” Jill said, putting the disk away. “Then what do I use this for?” She quickly
left the room and went through the last door in the hallway. She was now in another
hallway, but this one had many twists and turns in it. As Jill came around the corner,
something big jumped at her. This was the first monster she saw on the monitors-the one
with the large mouth and claws. It took a swipe at her, but it missed and hit the wall. Jill
shot the monster, but it just kept on coming. Suddenly, it swiped her in the leg.
“AAAHHH!!!” She screamed, grabbing her leg. Jill fell to the ground, just when the
monster jumped up on the ceiling. Then it jumped down, intending to land on her. She
quickly rolled over to the side, and the monster crashed through the floor. “Ow!” Jill
moaned as she got up. Around the next corner, she spotted a sign. ‘2nd Floor First Aid
Room’. “Yes!” Jill exclaimed, running over to the door. Inside, there were many
bandages scattered around. She quickly took a small roll and wrapped it around her leg.
Once it was pinned together, she left the room and went through the next door. The
hallway she was now in had one elevator door at the end of it. Jill pried it open. There
were no ladders on this side of the shaft, so she jumped across and grabbed onto the
ladder. Then she climbed up to the fourth floor and grabbed the little crack between the
door. After a couple of minutes, the door slid open and Jill climbed through. Once she
was up, she caught her breath and ran down the hallway. There were three doors around
the first corner. She went through the first one. Inside was a small office with two
Zombies in the corner. They slowly made their way over to Jill, but she killed them
before they could even get close. There was a computer over on the furthest desk. She ran
over to it and turned it on. “Please insert Disk A,” Jill read, sticking Disk A in the little
slot. “Please insert Disk B.” Jill stood up. “Looks like I have to find Disk B.” She walked
over to the door and re-entered the hallway. There was another office on the other side of
the second door. Jill looked around the room and spotted another briefcase on a table in a
corner. Inside, she found some ammo, and a letter. ‘Steven’s Letter: September 28, 1998,
6:47pm: Zombies are all over the city! It is no longer safe to go outside and into the
streets. I just know I’m going to die anyways with all these monsters crawling around! It
looks like I’m stuck here. Since I am the owner of “Disk B”, I have hidden it in a loose
floorboard inside a cupboard-which you will find in one of the other rooms on this floor.
You will also need Disk A to access the computer’s main menu.’ “That sounds like a
good hiding place,” Jill said to herself. Once the letter was put away, she ran back out
into the hallway and went through the third door. Inside, a Zombie was lurking around
the office. Jill pulled out her handgun and killed it. Then she ran over to the first
cupboard. Inside, there were floorboards, but none of them were loose. She quickly
closed it back up and checked the second one. Nothing. There was only one more
cupboard left. Inside, the loose floorboard lay in the corner. “Yes!” Jill exclaimed, but for
no reason. She lifted the floorboard up. Nothing. There was no disk there. It was gone.
“Hey!” she yelled. “I thought a disk was supposed to be here!” Jill jumped up and
slammed the cupboard door closed. Then she stormed out of the room and continued
down the hall. Suddenly, the wall beside her broke down, and Nemesis emerged. It
looked very angry. It took a big swipe at Jill, but it missed her and smashed through the
wall. Jill pulled out her sub-machine gun and pumped Nemesis with lead, but Nemesis
just got even more angrier and picked her up by the neck. Jill grabbed it’s arm and tried
to twist it, but it didn’t do any damage. Then she started shooting Nemesis in the face,
causing it to drop her. Suddenly, it fell through the wall beside her and lay motionless on
the ground. “Faker,” she said, looking down at Nemesis. Then she ran back down to the
elevator shaft and continued up the ladder. Suddenly, her radio beeped. Jill pulled it out.
“Yeah?” “Jill!” Barry’s voice exclaimed. “Don’t worry about searching floors 5, 6, 7, 8,
or 9.” “Why not?” Jill asked. “Because,” Barry answered. “Me and Sherry have already
checked them out.” “That fast?” Jill asked, interested. “Well,” Barry said. “I let her check
a couple of rooms by herself.” “You really shouldn’t do that!” Jill yelled. “Why not?”
Barry asked. “She’s old enough. Think, Jill, think! Sherry is twelve years old!”
“Whatever,” Jill said. “Oh, and one more thing,” Barry said. “I want to see you on the
tenth floor.” “Why?” Jill asked. “Just meet me there,” Barry replied. “I’ll see you then.”
“Bye,” Jill said. Then she hung up and punched in Leon’s number. “Leon?” “Hold on!”
Leon suddenly yelled back. After two minutes, he finally replied. “Sorry,” he said. “I had
encountered this monster with a huge mouth and huge claws. Have you seen such a
thing?” “Yes,” Jill replied. “Anyways, how are you doing?” “I’m doing fine,” Leon
replied. “What floor are you on?” Jill asked the rookie cop. “I’m on the second floor,” he
said. “Listen, I can’t seem to find anything useful. Have you checked this floor already?”
“Yes,” Jill replied. “Listen. Can you meet me on the tenth floor along with Barry?”
“When?” Leon asked. “In about five minutes,” Jill replied. “I guess I could,” Leon
replied. “Hold on, where are you?” “I’m in the elevator shaft,” Jill answered. “Stay where
you are!” Leon shouted. “I’ll be there in a moment! Bye!” Leon had hung up. After
another two minutes, Leon had climbed up underneath Jill. “Where’s Barry?” he asked.
Jill looked up the shaft. “He’s going to meet us on ten,” she replied. “I see,” Leon said.
“Well, let’s go!” They climbed up past five elevator doors and opened the sixth one up.
Once they had climbed up on the floor, Barry and Sherry came around the corner.
“Where were you Jill?” he asked. “I was waiting for Leon,” she replied. “Can’t you see
he’s here?!” Barry looked at Leon. “I didn’t see him,” he said. “Have you checked this
floor yet?” Leon asked Barry. “Yes,” he replied. “We have.” “Listen,” Jill said. “We’re
going to have to search the floors separately. I’ll take floors 11, 12, and 13. Leon? You
take 14, 15, and 16. Barry and Sherry will search floors 17, 18, 19, and 20. Once we all
get to twenty, we’ll meet in the control room. Understood?” “Yes!” Leon, Barry and
Sherry all said together. “Good,” Jill said. “Now. Barry and Sherry will leave first and
they will call us on the radio once they reach the appropriate floor. Then Leon will leave
and will call me on the radio once he reaches his first floor. Once he has, then I will go
and search my floors. Barry and Sherry? You guys can go now.” After three minutes,
Barry finally called. “We’ve reached our floor,” he said. “Okay,” Jill said. Then she
looked at Leon. “You can go now.” After two minutes, Leon called. “I’m going now,” Jill
told Leon and Barry over her radio. Once it was put away, she climbed up to eleven. As
soon as she got to her feet, the green monster flew around the first corner. It took Jill five
shots with her shotgun until the monster finally jumped through the opening to the
elevator shaft. “Too bad,” she said. As she came around the corner, Jill spotted a sign
above a door. “Control Room Eleven,” she read. Inside, there were more monitors on the
wall above a number of computers. Of course, some of the monitors were broken. Jill ran
over and watched them for five minutes. Suddenly, a young man ran across camera nine.
“He looks really young,” she said, looking at the man. Suddenly, the huge monster with
the smaller mouth and claws entered the screen. The man ran out of view, and the
monster went after him. “That’s on this floor!” Jill ran back out into the hallway and ran
through the second door. Inside was another office, but this one had a door in one of the
corners. Jill didn’t take anytime to search the office for anything useful. She just went
straight for the door. On the other side was another winding hallway. Suddenly, she
banged into a young man. “Run for your life!” he yelled, jumping up and yelling in Jill’s
ear. Then he ran through the door she had come in through. Suddenly, the huge monster
with the larger mouth and claws, ran down the hallway. Jill quickly got up and pulled out
her grenade launcher. Then she fired. The blow caused the monster to fly back and smash
into the far wall. Suddenly, the hallway’s roof started to crack. Then the ceiling behind
her fell down and crashed on the floor, blocking the door. Next, the hallway gave a
violent shake. Run! Jill thought. She bolted toward the end of the hallway. But just before
she got to the end, the rest of the ceiling collapsed. Jill quickly jumped and rolled, just
before she was crushed. Then she got up and looked at the fallen ceiling. “That was very
close,” she said, wiping the sweat off her face. But now, there was nowhere to go, except
through the next door. As soon as she came through the door, somebody grabbed her and
covered her mouth so she couldn’t scream. “Listen!” a voice said. “Keep quiet. It’s only
me.” Jill turned and faced the figure. It was the young man that had crashed into her.
“You!” she yelled. “Hey!” he whispered. “I told you! Keep quiet!” “Oh,” Jill whispered
back. “I’m sorry.” “Do you know the name of that monster?” the young man asked again.
“No,” Jill replied. “I don’t know any of these monsters names except for Nemesis.”
“Well,” the young man said again. “First, let’s start with my name. My name is Carlos
Oliveara. What’s yours?” “Jill. Jill Valentine,” she replied. “The R.P.D. S.T.A.R.S.
Mechanical Expert.” “Interesting,” Carlos said. “Why are you here then?” “We thought
we would be safe from inside this building,” Jill replied. “We are currently trying to find
a way to get to Umbrella HQ in Europe.” “Why do you want to go there?” Carlos asked.
“My best friend Chris is trapped there,” Jill answered, looking at the ground. “And I
really care about him.”
On the other side of the Atlantic Ocean, an Umbrella worker walked up the stairs to his
boss’ office. “Boss?” he asked once he opened the door. “What now?!” the boss yelled,
angrily. “The young man we hired a week ago still hasn’t arrived,” the man said while his
body shaked like crazy. “We began a search for him and he was found in Raccoon City,
New York.” “Why was he there?!” the boss asked. “There is nobody left in that city!
Everyone is a Zombie!” “Well,” the man began. “There were also some other life forms
found on the scanner.” “And who were they?” the boss asked, interested. “There were
four people alive in an office tower,” the man replied. “But I can only remember one of
the names.” “Well, who was it?!” the boss yelled, very annoyed. “Don’t waste my time!”
“S-sorry,” the man apologised. “Now,” the boss said. “Who was it?” “I think it was,” the
man replied. “Jill Valentine.” The boss stared at the man. “So,” he finally said after a
couple of seconds. “She’s still alive. She’s knows how to survive. Now, would you mind
bringing a prisoner to my office?” “No,” the man quickly answered. “Who do you want?”
“Chris Redfield,” the boss answered. “I-I’m terrible sorry boss,” the man slowly said.
“But I’m afraid we are unable to locate him.” “Is that so?” the boss replied, pulling out a
gun and shooting his worker. “Nobody ever does what I tell them to,” the boss said to
himself.
Back in Raccoon City, Carlos was telling all the monster’s names. “The one with the big
mouth and claws is Hunter Beta, and the one with the smaller claws and mouth is Hunter
Gamma. The green monster is Hunter, and the one with the super-huge claw is the Grave
Digger.” “Any more?” Jill asked. “That’s all I know,” Carlos replied. “There are more.”
“Yes,” Jill said. “I know. Would you mind searching the next floor with me?” “Sure,”
Carlos said almost right away. They quickly ran back to the elevator shaft and started
climbing up to the 12th floor. As soon as they climbed to the floor, something jumped at
Jill, barely missing her head. “Woah!” she yelled, jumping to her feet. Suddenly, Hunter
Beta fell right in front of her and shoved something down her throat. Jill suddenly felt
weak and dropped to the floor, passing out. “Jill!” Carlos cried, running over to her. He
looked over at Hunter Beta, but it had vanished. “Damn!” he yelled. “That stupid thing
planted an Embryol inside her!” He quickly picked her up and carried her to an office.
Then he set her down on a couch. “Jill!” he yelled again. “Wake up!” Suddenly, Jill gave
a violent twitch and slowly opened her eyes. “Wh-what h-happened?” she asked, feeling
tired. “Welcome back,” Carlos said. “That Hunter Beta infected you with the G-Virus.”
Suddenly, Jill’s eyes snapped open. “WHAT????!!!!” she shouted. But shouting only
made her start coughing. “What did he do to get me infected?” “He planted an Embryol
inside you,” Carlos replied. “Most humans don’t survive when the Embryol pupates, but
you have a better chance of surviving, since you are strong.” “But I don’t want to become
a product of the G-Virus!” Jill shouted, only to cough once more. “I like the way I am!”
“Don’t worry,” Carlos said. “I’ll find a cure for you.” Just before Carlos left the room,
Jill shook him. “Please hurry,” she said. “I’ll be back in time,” Carlos said.
Once he was back in the hallway, he checked his map of the building. The first medical
floor was on 30. He dashed back to the shaft and nearly started “jumping” up the ladder.
But just before he past floor 15, somebody stopped him. “Hey!” a young man about 19
years old yelled, looking at him. “Who are you?” Carlos stopped climbing. It’s safe, he
thought. “Somebody is injured badly!!” he shouted, grabbing the teenager. “Whoa!” the
young man exclaimed. “Slow down!” Carlos let go. “Sorry,” he said. “I got carried
away.” “Who are you?” asked the young man. “Carlos Oliveara,” Carlos replied. “And
somebody is badly injured!” “Who?” the young man asked again. “Jill!” Carlos shouted,
running back to the ladder in the shaft. “She’s infected with the G-Virus!!!”
“Man,” Leon said, looking up at the ceiling. “Why doesn’t anyone ever listen to me?”
Leon looked at the elevator shaft. “That young man was talking about Jill! I’d better call
her!” He quickly punched in Jill’s code. No answer. “Come on, come on....” But there
was still no answer. “Crap!” Leon shouted, stuffing his radio back in his pocket. “She’s
really in trouble!” He slid down the ladder to the 12th floor and ran down the hallway,
checking every room. In the third room, he found Jill laying down on a couch by the first
desk. “Jill!” he shouted, running over to her. She was asleep. Leon gave her a couple of
shakes, and she finally woke up. “W-what are you doing here?” she asked, sounding very
sleepy. “I’ve come to see you,” Leon replied. “Since you cared about me when that
monster was going to kill me back at the underground lab.” Jill gave a little smile. Leon
thought she looked very pretty when she smiled. “It was nothing,” Jill said.
Carlos searched the first room on the first medical floor. There was nothing on how to
kill Embryols. In the second room, he found a base antidote container. Beside it, he found
the instructions. ‘Preparing G-Virus Antidotes: Take the base antidote container and
insert it in the VAM Machine. Flip the appropriate switch and then take out container.
There should be some white liquid inside the container. Then take it to the antidote
computer and insert the cartridge containing the white liquid into the slot. After waiting
ten seconds, the antidote should be complete.’ Carlos stuck the base container into the
giant machine beside the desk and flipped a switch. Then he took out the container and
looked around for the antidote computer. But there was no computer in sight. He ran
back out into the hallway and went into the Medical room. Inside, all he found was a
note. ‘Medical Report: The antidote computer has been moved from the Medical room
on 30, due to all the people sick on floors 60 through 70. Doctors will find it on 65. End
of Report.’ “WHAT?!” Carlos shouted. “65!!! Why can’t they just get another
computer?!” Then the thought of Jill turning into an ultimate killing machine struck him.
“Hold on Jill!”
Leon stood beside Jill, feeling very helpless. “I just wish there was some way to help
you,” he told her. Then he thought about the young man he bumped into. He must have
been looking for a cure! “Jill?” Leon said. “I’ll be back in 15.” Jill could only give a
slight nod. He quickly flew out the door and climbed as fast as he could up the ladder.
Carlos heard something clicking on the ladder below him. Below him, the young man he
had seen earlier, was following him. “Why are you following me?!” he shouted down at
the young man. “What?” the young man called back. “Why are you following me?”
Carlos asked. “Let me come up and tell you,” the young man replied. Once they were
both on 40, they stopped to catch their breaths. “Who are you?” Carlos asked the young
man. “Leon Kennedy,” the young man told him. “I was with the R.P.D. until all this
happened. You?” “Carlos Oliveara,” Carlos said. “I was hired by Umbrella, but I was
attacked by Zombies on my way through Raccoon City.” He looked down at the ground.
“They must be looking for me now. But I can’t leave until I finish the cure for Jill.” Leon
looked at the white substance Carlos had pulled out. “I’m with you,” he said. “But we
better get going if we want to save her.” Both of them ran back towards the elevator
shaft, but were stopped by a big creature with a black suit. “Great!” Leon shouted, pulling
out his Grenade Launcher. “Something to slow us down!” Leon fired five grenades at
Nemesis while Carlos just stood there and watched the action. Suddenly, Nemesis
jumped away, and the big green monster jumped up from the shaft. “What is this thing?!”
Leon asked Carlos, firing many grenades at the monster. “Hunter,” Carlos replied, still
doing nothing at all to help. Suddenly, Hunter jumped over Leon and slashed him in the
arm. “OW!!!” he yelled, dropping his gun and grabbing his arm. Carlos just stood there
and watched Leon grab his arm in agony. “Well don’t just stand there!” Leon shouted at
Carlos, who only gave a slight nod. Suddenly, Hunter swung it’s claw at Carlos’ head,
but he had already ducked and grabbed the Grenade Launcher. Then he fired a grenade at
Hunter’s chest. Hunter flew back and crashed into the far wall, getting knocked out.
Carlos looked down at Leon, who was still grabbing his arm. “I know it hurts,” he said.
“But you’ll have to keep climbing.” Leon looked up at Carlos, and then shook his head.
“No,” he said. “I’m staying here.” Carlos widened his eyes. “Are you crazy?!” he
shouted. “Those creatures are everywhere!” “Don’t worry about me,” Leon said. “I’ll be
fine.” Yeah, right, Carlos thought to himself. “If you say so....,” he said, heading back for
the shaft. “I’ll be back for you.” Leon gave a nod. Carlos took one final look, and then
continued up the ladder.
50, 55, 60! He had reached his destination! “Yes!” Carlos exclaimed. “I’m finally here!”
He ran down the hallway and opened the first door. A Zombie tried to attacked him as
soon as he entered the room, but barely missed him. “DIE!!” Carlos shouted, shooting the
Zombie with his handgun. Once the Zombie was down, he continued his search for the
antidote computer. There were no computers in this room, so he checked the next one.
“Computer, computer....,” he kept saying to himself. “Computer!” Luckily, the antidote
computer was around the corner of the room. Carlos ran up to it and stuck the cartridge
into the slot. After ten seconds, the glass case opened, and the blue substance inside the
cartridge emerged. Carlos quickly tucked it away and slid back down the ladder in the
shaft to 12. “Jill!” he shouted as he burst through the door leading to the room Jill was in.
“I finally got the antidote!” But Jill was asleep. “Come on!” Carlos shouted, shaking Jill.
“Wake up!” It appeared that Jill was in a deep coma. Without thinking, he poured the
antidote into Jill’s mouth. Then he looked at her neck to see if she would swallow it.
Suddenly, her neck muscles moved, indicating that she had swallowed. Then she woke
up. “C-Carlos?” she asked. “Did you get the antidote?” “Yeah,” he replied. “You’ve
already swallowed it. You’re all better now!” A smile slowly spread across Jill’s face.
“Thanks again,” she said. “I owe you one.” “Stay right here,” Carlos instructed. “I’ve got
to go back for Leon.” “What happened to him?” Jill asked. Carlos turned around and
faced her. “He was slashed in the arm by Hunter,” he answered. “Now, I’ve got to go
help him.” Jill nodded and laid back down on the couch. Carlos burst out the door and
re-climbed the ladder up to 40. But when he was up and standing on the floor, Leon was
nowhere in sight. “Leon?” he called. He walked around the first corner, but Leon was not
there. “Leon?!” Carlos called, but there was still no reply from Leon. “This isn’t some
sort of joke, is it?!” As he was heading back for the elevator shaft, he found something on
the ground. It was one of Leon’s bike gloves. “Oh, no!” he shouted. “He’s was eaten!”
Carlos ran back to the shaft and slid back down to Jill. “Jill! Jill!” Carlos shouted,
bursting into the room. “He’s dead! He’s dead!” “Leon?!” Jill shouted. “Is he really?!”
“Yes! Yes!” Carlos cried, pulling out Leon’s bike glove. “This is proof!” Jill studied the
glove. “No,” she said. “No!” And with that, she burst out of the room and began to climb
up to 20. “Wait!” Carlos shouted. “Where are you going?!” “I’ve got to get to Barry!” Jill
shouted back, climbing as hard as she could.
Once she got to 20, she quickly jumped up and ran around the first corner. “Barry?!” she
yelled. No reply. “Barry?!” she yelled again. But there was still silence. “My radio!” Jill
exclaimed, pulling it out and pressing Barry’s code. “Barry?! Are y-PSSSSSHHHHH!!!!!”
The radio had lost reception. “Damn!” she yelled, running back to the ladder. “Where is
he?!” Once she was back on 12, she looked around for Carlos. But he was not here either.
“NO!!!!” Jill yelled. “Where is everyone?!” She tired her radio once more, but it had run
out of batteries. “Crap!” she yelled, frantically trying to fix it, but with no success. “Now
what?!” She ran back to the elevator and climbed as fast as she could up to 70. Once Jill
got there, she ran over to the first door, and burst through. Inside the large room, there
was a desk over in the far right corner, some filing cabinets beside it, and an easy-chair
behind the desk. Jill ran over to the desk and found a note written by the boss.
‘Boss’ Diary: September 27th, 1998, 5:49pm: More and more Zombies keep coming into
my office tower! Why? What’s so important in here?! Why did that stupid chemical
producing company have to come here anyways?! They must be laughing their heads off
right now. September 27th, 1998, 8:00pm: Tonight, I arranged a meeting in the
conference room just across from my office. We talked about our escape route: Head
down to Parking Lot 3 and go through the furthest manhole. Open it and climb down the
ladder-which leads to the sewers. Then try to find a stream that leads outside of the city.
September 28th, 1998, 3:28am: A 5 of my workers made it through the sewers alive, but
the other 7 were killed by another mysterious creature. I don’t think I even have a chance
of getting down to the manhole, since more and more Zombies keep coming in and more
and more monsters keep appearing through-out the building. There’s no more escape
route left. It’s all guarded. September 28th, 1998, 8:43pm: I am the only one left alive in
this building. Everyone else has already turned into Zombies, or were killed by those
monsters. I’m going to commit suicide with this gun, in hope that my dead body won’t
rise again.....’
Jill put the diary away and turned towards the door. Just before she opened it, somebody
broke through. “AAAHHH!!!!” she screamed, jumping back. “W-what?!” a familiar
voice asked. Then the man walked into the light. “B-Barry?” Jill whispered. Barry turned
and faced Jill. “Yep,” he said. “It’s me.” “Where’s Sherry?” Jill asked, looking around.
“Uh,” Barry started. “We got separated when Nemesis attacked us. She got away, and
now she’s lost.” “That’s just great,” Jill said, sarcastically. “Sherry doesn’t know the
hazards around here! Way to go!” Barry looked down. “I’m really sorry.” Jill lifted his
head up. “Don’t worry about it. She’s old enough to take care of herself.” Barry eyed her.
“Are you sure?” “Pretty sure,” Jill replied. “Now, let’s get out of here. By the way, where
were you? You weren’t on 20.” “Me and Sherry left because we thought something had
happened to you since you took so long,” Barry told her. “Something did happen to me,”
Jill said. “I was infected with the G-Virus.” “WHAT?!” Barry yelled. “You were?” “Yes,
I was,” Jill said again. “But this young man named Carlos Oliveara saved me.” “A young
man eh?” Barry repeated. “I met a young man on 30, but he ran away before I could say
anything.” Suddenly, the thought of Leon came to her. “Did you, by any chance, see
Leon?” Barry rubbed his chin. “I saw him an hour ago on 40,” Barry said. “He was
slashed in the arm by this thing called ‘Hunter.’ I asked if he was going to get up, but he
said he couldn’t climb anything with his arm in that condition. I left him for a bit and
when I returned, he wasn’t there anymore.” “I wonder where he is,” Jill said. “Does you
radio still work?” “Not only did it stop working,” Barry told her. “But it was smashed up
by Nemesis.” Suddenly, Jill heard something crack inside the wall beside her. “Listen!”
she shouted, eyes wide open. “Did you hear that?” Barry stood very still. “Yep,” he
quickly said. Crrrrrrraaaaacccckkkk! Suddenly, the wall beside Jill smash open, revealing
Nemesis. “Holy crap!” she yelled jumping behind the desk. Nemesis slowly walked over
to Barry and fired a rocket at him. Luckily, he had jumped away in time, and the rocket
had flown through the wall. Then he quickly crawled over to Jill. “Oh no!” he yelled,
pulling out the rocket launcher Leon and Jill and brung for him. “I’m going to use this.”
Jill nodded, and Barry stood up. “Take this!” he yelled, firing a rocket at Nemesis’ chest.
Nemesis just stood there, letting the rocket hit him. Once the smoke had cleared,
Nemesis was nowhere in sight. “What the-” Jill started, but just couldn’t seem to finish.
Nemesis was just simply not there any more. Suddenly, something that weighed a ton hit
Barry in the back. Jill watched as he flew halfway across the room and crashed into some
more filing cabinets. Then he moaned and went unconscious. Jill turned around and saw
that a giant fist had broke through the wall. What?! But-- that’s impossible! The fist had
belonged to Nemesis. Nemesis blew up! That just can’t be! But it was true. Jill turned
around and ran over to Barry. “Barry!” she shouted. “Wake up!” Suddenly, Jill slapped
Barry on the cheek as hard as she could, which made him gain consciousness.
“Wha-what happened?” he slowly made out. “Somehow,” Jill replied. “Nemesis had
dodged your rocket and slammed it’s fist into your back. Barry reached around and
touched his back. “I think it’s broken,” he said. “I need to find Rebecca.” Jill rubbed his
back. “Actually,” she said. “It’s just cracked. Good thing you were wearing your
bullet-proof vest.” Barry stood up. “Yeah,” he agreed. “Good thing.” Jill walked over to
the door and faced Barry. “Now, let’s get the hell outta here,” she said. “Good plan,”
Barry nodded. Once they were back out in the hallway, they ran quickly made their way
over to the shaft and slid down the ladder all the way back to the lobby. Barry looked
around for Officer Branaugh, but he was no where in sight. Suddenly, Jill spotted some
legs coming around the corner of the secretary’s desk. “Over there!” she exclaimed,
pointing. They ran over to the legs and turned over the body. “What happened?” Jill
asked. It was Branaugh, but blood was dripping from his mouth and his ribs were
showing. His arm had also been twisted off. “We’ve got to get out of this building,”
Barry said. “I thought you said it was safe. Just like you said we would be safe up at the
facility on top of that mountain when Nemesis was chasing us.” Jill looked at Barry.
“Hey,” she said. “I didn’t know it was dangerous in all of Raccoon City’s buildings. And
how the hell was I supposed to know that Nemesis was going to turn up at the facility?”
Barry nodded. “Your right. But what will we do about Sherry?” Suddenly, Sherry ran
over to them. “Barry!” she shouted, running into his arms. “I’ve been trying to look for
you, but I couldn’t find you!” Barry stroked her hair. “I couldn’t find you either, but at
least we’re safe now.” Jill gave Barry a funny look. “Yeah, right,” she said. “Leon and
Carlos are still missing.” “Oh yeah,” Barry said while his bubble of hope burst. “I
forgot.” Suddenly, Leon and Carlos burst through the door on the far wall. “Get out of
this building!” Leon yelled, pushing Barry and Sherry while Carlos pushed Jill. “Lot’s of
crap coming this way!” Jill started running. Then she turned around. “Let’s go!” Leon
shouted. Suddenly, all of the doors in the lobby smashed open, revealing Nemesis,
Hunter, Hunter Beta, and Hunter Gamma. The five of them just ran until they got out on
the street. “How’d they get together?” Barry asked. “I don’t know,” Leon replied. “Me
and Carlos had found each other and suddenly, these monsters started chasing us.” Jill
stared at the office tower, pulling out a grenade. “Jill?!” Carlos yelled. “What are you
doing?!” But Jill wasn’t listening. She threw the grenade at the entrance to the office
tower. Once it hit the ground, it exploded on the monsters. “They deserved it,” Jill said.
Barry looked at the blown-away entrance. “It looks like you didn’t clear all of them away
Jill,” he said. Jill turned towards the entrance. “WHAT?!” she shouted, very surprised.
Nemesis had disappeared again. “Uh oh,” Barry said. Suddenly, a giant fist barely missed
Leon’s hip. “WHOA!!!” he shouted, jumping away. “Did anyone tell me that this thing
had superhuman speed?” “Let’s get out of this area and get in Leon’s jeep,” Jill said.
“Then we can drive to New York and catch a plane to Vienna.” “Why do we want to go
there?” Sherry asked. “Because,” Jill began. “The Umbrella HQ is on a desert in Austria.
Leon? Do you remember where you parked your jeep when your first came into town?”
“Of course I do,” Leon answered. “It’s parked on Bybee near O’Kelly’s” “Good,” Jill
said. “That’s really close to us.” They ran all the way down Vermont St. until they got to
Bybee, Raccoon City’s first real street. Jill looked around. She could remember Bybee
from when she was just a little girl. Bybee would have been teeming with life if all this
wouldn’t have happened. “Damn Umbrella,” she muttered to herself. Leon’s jeep was
parked on the corner of 15th Avenue. “Well,” he said. “Here it is. Hop in.” Jill sat in the
front with Leon, while Barry, Carlos, and Sherry sat in the back. Once Sherry was settled
in, she fell fast asleep.
On the highway lead out of Raccoon City, many Zombies tried to go after them, but the
jeep was too fast for them. After an hour and a half, they finally reached New York City-
which was northeast of Raccoon City. Leon drove all the way to the airport. Once they
were inside, they paid for their tickets and walked through the metal detectors. They had
left all their guns in the back of Leon’s jeep, since the flight attendant would not let them
have guns on the plane. Leon sat with Jill, while Barry and Sherry sat together. Carlos
was sitting in the middle row of the plane. “Well,” Leon said. “We’re on our way to
infiltrate Umbrella HQ which will probably be a suicide mission.” Jill looked over at
him. “It’s not suicide,” she said. “Besides, the place is probably crawling with zombies
anyways. And we’re trying to rescue Chris and Claire.” Claire, Leon thought to himself. I
hope she’s okay.
After a nine hour flight, they had reached Vienna, and had rented a van to drive to
Umbrella. So far, the area looked pretty zombie-free, but Leon knew that there were
going to be some zombies at Umbrella. In another hour, they would have reached their
destination.
The boss slowly moved through the hallways of his HQ. Chris was nowhere in site. “That
kid is one damn good mover,” he said. “But I was always better.” The boss walked
towards the entrance to the library. “Maybe he’s in here.”
Not far behind, Chris Redfield had been listening to what the boss had been saying. “I
was always better,” he repeated. “I remember that saying. Back at the Spencer Mansion,
Wesker told me that.” Suddenly, Chris widened his eyes. “This boss sounds like
Wesker!” He looked around the corner at the boss. “But, that can’t be! Wesker was killed
by a Tyrant!” Chris took one more quick look at the boss. “Woah! It is Wesker! But,
how’d he come back?!”
“We’re here,” Leon told the guys and gals. “Umbrella HQ.” Jill looked around. “Finally,”
she said. “Remember all the trouble we had, Barry? We couldn’t get out on a boat, and
now it’s probably totalled.” Barry looked at her. “Yeah, I remember.” “Well,” Jill said.
“I’m going in.” She ran through the entrance, not listening to the guys shouting after her.
“I’ve got to find Chris!” she yelled back, once she was inside.
Chris slowly walked back to the cell block. He could have sworn he had heard somebody
yelling over by the entrance. “Great,” he said. “Somebody else to get on my nerves.” But
little did he know that this person was his friend. He walked down the stairs to the
basement and ran around the corner leading to the cell block. On the other side of the
caged door, he could see that someone was laying down on the ground, unconscious. He
quickly ran over and saw that it was a girl. “Hello?” Chris called. But the person gave no
reply. Chris opened the prison door and looked at the young girl’s face. “Claire!” he
exclaimed. “What are you doing here?” Apparently, Claire had heard him this time.
“C-Chris?” she said, feeling dizzy. “Wh-where am I?” Chris hugged his younger sister as
tight as he could. “I missed you. We’re in Umbrella Headquarters.” Suddenly, the caged
door leading to the cell block slid open. Chris jumped to his feet and pulled out his gun.
Once he saw who it was, he lowered it. “Jill? Is that you?” “Yep,” she replied. “It’s me.”
Chris ran over to her and hugged her. “I was worried about you,” she whispered to him.
“Is anyone else here?” he asked Jill. “Yeah,” Jill replied. “Barry, Leon, Carlos, and
Sherry.” “Barry Burton?” Chris asked. “Of course,” Jill told him. “The new cop Leon
Kennedy, the Umbrella mercenary Carlos Oliveara, and Sherry Birkin.” Birkin. Chris had
heard of that name before. He had met William Birkin at the Spencer Mansion. But when
he had asked his Umbrella friend Dan Tucker where he was, he told him that he needed
to stay behind. Where the hell was Dan, anyways? He had left on a tram with Rebecca
two days ago, and they hadn’t come back. “Jill,” Chris said. “I need to tell you something
that you might not believe.” “What?” Jill asked. Chris looked down at the ground.
“Wesker is alive.” Once again, Jill widened her eyes. “What?! I thought he was killed in
the mansion!” “He was,” Chris told her. “Umbrella must have somehow healed his body
to full strength or something.” “Where is he?” Jill asked. “I saw him just outside of the
library upstairs.” Then Chris thought about the Leon she had mentioned. “Did you say,
Leon Kennedy?” “Yes,” Jill answered. “Why?” “Isn’t he the new cop Irons mentioned
before our mission at the Spencer Mansion?” “That would be him,” Jill said. “I need to
meet him,” Chris said. “I’ll meet up with you later.” “Okay....,” Jill slowly said. “If you
think you’ll be okay, then I guess we can.” “Good,” Chris said, running off. Suddenly,
Claire stopped him. “Where are you going?” she asked. “I can’t lose you again....” “Don’t
worry,” Chris said to her. “I’ll be back soon. Stay with Jill.” Claire walked over to Jill.
“Be back soon,” Jill told him. “I will,” Chris answered. After taking one last look at Jill
and Claire, he shut the door behind him, hoping that he would return......alive.
The boss had searched every part of the library, still searching for the missing Chris
Redfield. “Hmm......where is that guy?” He kicked the next door open. “Crap! He ain’t
here! I wonder where he is.....”
Chris ran around the first corner, being very cautious. “This mission is almost impossible
and suicide. This multibillion dollar company could easily stop us.” He pulled out his
handgun and examined it. “Good thing that guard was carrying this baby,” he said,
patting it. “It’s been very useful.” Suddenly, three zombies broke out of the first room
around the next corner. Chris gave a quick laugh and flew around the corner. “You guys
are hopeless,” he said, grinning as he killed each one. “Hah!” Suddenly, a Licker flew
from the roof. “Holy-” Chris started, spinning around and shooting the Licker. “Where’d
you come from?” The Licker finally went down after a couple of shots. “I need some
more ammo,” Chris said, patting himself. “If I don’t get some fast, I’m not going to last
very long.” Suddenly, an idea snapped into Chris’ mind. “I’ve got to tell the guys!” He
quickly ran back to the cells and burst through the door. “Jill! Claire!” Jill and Claire
stood up and looked at him. “Did you find the boss?” Jill asked. “No,” Chris replied.
“But I’ve got a good idea.” “What is it?” Claire asked. “If we go to Vienna’s police dept.,
we could load up on ammo and get some help!” Chris exclaimed. “Sounds good to me,”
Jill said. “But what about Barry, Leon and Sherry?” “Well,” Chris said. “We’ll have to
get them.” They ran back to the entrance, where they found Barry and Leon. “Where did
you go?” Leon asked Jill. “We’ve been worried sick!” “I found Chris and Claire,” Jill
replied, ignoring Leon’s question. “Leon!” Claire cried, running into his arms. Chris
smiled as Claire ran into the rookie cop’s arms. “Well,” he muttered to himself. “It looks
like she finally found a guy.” Barry ran over to Chris. “How’s it going?” “Pretty good,”
Chris replied. “We’re just about to head for Vienna’s Police Department.” “Good,” Barry
said. “We could use all the help we can get.”
Leon drove them all the way back to Vienna. Chris thought it felt good riding in the back
of a jeep with no cover. Once they got to the police station, someone greeted them. “And,
who are you guys?” the officer asked with an Austrian accent. “Well,” Chris began. “I
need to use a computer.”
The computer lab was on the second floor. The room was already busy with officers
moving from one computer to another. “Woah,” Chris said to no one but himself. “This
place is packed.” Jill and the rest of the guys were waiting for him in the lobby. Chris
walked over to an empty computer and logged on to the internet. He was going to search
for files on Umbrella. “Let’s see what we have.” He went to www.altavista.com and
typed in Umbrella. After twenty seconds, only one site on Umbrella had been found.
Chris clicked on the link, and a new screen appeared. The site’s index page had the
Umbrella logo at the top, and a whole bunch of news from 1995 to 1998. Chris read the
most recent article.
‘September 28, 1998:
We have sent our best S.W.A.T. teams to retrieve Birkin’s G-Virus. We started this
S.W.A.T. team because the R.P.D.’s S.T.A.R.S. team was unable to be bought. The
S.T.A.R.S. suspension will be on until further notice. They have been suspended for
being responsible of the Spencer Mansion’s explosion. Birkin has been working on the
G-Virus for some time now, and refuses to hand it in. His reason is that it is not quite
finished. We were going to ask him again, but he suddenly disappeared after the
S.W.A.T. team recovered the virus. The team was found dead in the sewers below R.P.D.
It seems as though they were attacked by an undiscovered creature, due to the claw marks
beneath the blood on their bodies. The matter is being considered and we will not know
what is going on until our research team reports.’
Umbrella’s new boss was faking his morning jog, playing his walkman on full blast.
Suddenly, he bumped into a milkman. “Excuse me,” he said. “Sorry.” The milkman
looked up at him and shook his head. “Crazy man,” he said. Once he came back from a
house, he heard some music coming from the bushes behind him. While he was putting
empty bottles into his truck, the music got louder, and then some headphones were swung
over his head. The man behind him started choking him with it and pulled him into the
bush. Once the milkman was dead, the boss quickly changed clothes and drove off,
towards the police station. Once he entered through the back door, he headed for the
kitchen. Suddenly, the chef in the kitchen could hear loud rock music. “Morning,” the
boss said once he entered the room. “Put it over there, mate,” the chef told the boss. But
once the milkbottles were set down, the boss swung the headphones over the chef’s head.
Then he started choking him. Outside of the kitchen, a man bringing some wine heard
some loud music. Once he opened the door, he saw a man lifting the chef’s body behind
a counter. “Green four to base-” the man started talking into his intercom, but could not
finish because the man had already ran for him. The man kicked him in the gut and then
swung him over to the stove, pushing his head down to the stove. “AAAHHH!!!” the man
screamed, once his face touched the burning hot coals. Then he kicked the other man
away and jumped up to his feet, kicking the boss. Then he tried chopping him, but the
boss moved away and pushed the guy into some boxes and threw a pot of boiling hot
water at him. The water missed, so the boss picked up a pan and whacked the other
man’s face, knocking him out. “Green four to base,” the boss said, speaking into the
intercom. “Everything is under control.” Then the boss started towards the computer lab.
Chris couldn’t believe there was only one site on Umbrella. “You would think there’d be
more,” he mumbled to himself. As he turned around, he caught a glimpse of a bottle full
of milk flying towards a computer. Once it hit the screen, it exploded. “AAAHHH!!!” the
officer shouted, flying back. Whoop! Whoop! The alarm had gone off. Suddenly, another
milkbottle flew towards Chris’ head. Luckily, Chris ducked just in time, and the bottle
exploded on his computer, sending Chris across the floor. “WHOA!!!” he yelled, once he
landed. Suddenly, a drop of red fell on the floor. Chris then realized that his forehead had
somehow started bleeding. Then another milkbottle blew up on another computer,
sending another guy in the air. Chris suddenly spotted a silhouette through the thick
smoke. Then the figure ran down the hallway. Chris followed, not caring about what he
just saw. “Hey!” and officer shouted. “Where are you going?!” “To catch a fish,” Chris
told him, smiling.
Chris ran down the first set of stairs that led to the lobby. “Excuse me,” Chris asked the
secretary. “But did you, by an chance, see someone you didn’t recognize?” “Yes,” the
secretary replied. “He ran down the stairs to the basement.” “Thanks,” Chris said,
running over to the stairs. At the bottom, there was a hallway that led to jail cells at both
ends. Chris ran down the hallway to his right and stopped in the cell room. It’s a little
quiet in here, he thought. Suddenly, something whacked him in the shins, causing Chris
to fall down. Then a man in a black suit jumped out from the shadows and kicked him in
the face. Before the man could get another punch or kick on him, Chris jumped up and
kicked the man in the gut. As the man was falling down, Chris noticed the badge on the
sleeve of the man’s black suit. S.T.A.R.S. If this man was truly a S.T.A.R.S. member, he
would have to be a traitor. And the only traitor Chris could remember of was--Wesker.
Albert Wesker, S.T.A.R.S. captain, traitor to the Spencer Estate mission. Chris would
never forget that name. “You!” he yelled, as he kicked Wesker hard in the face.
Suddenly, Wesker lashed out and double-kicked Chris in the chest, knocking him down.
“You’ve always known.” Chris got up and punched Wesker. “So, you’re still alive.” “I
think I’m the best one to explain this,” Wesker said, kicked Chris to the ground.
“Umbrella found my body before the Spencer Mansion blew up. Then they took it to
their HQ, where they put me in a tank. Once I was in, they added water with special
chemicals which somehow regenerated my body.” Once Wesker was done, Chris tripped
him. “I also gained superhuman strength,” Wesker told him. “I guess I should
demonstrate it.” Wesker pulled his fist back, and then swung. Chris didn’t even see what
happened. He was suddenly hit with a powerful force and the next thing he knew, he was
flying in the air. Then he hit the wall behind him, almost blacking out. “See?” Wesker
said. “Yeah,” Chris said. “I see.” Wesker walked over to Chris and punched him in the
side of the head. Then Chris jumped up and grabbed Albert’s head. “This is for you!” he
yelled, as he kept kneeing Wesker in the head. Suddenly, two arms wrapped around
Chris’ leg and he was lifted off the ground. Wesker had a tight hold on him. Chris tried
punching him, but before he could even try, Wesker threw him against the wall. Chris
banged against it and fell to the ground. I’ll turn the lights off and then run away, Chris
thought. He quickly reached up and flicked the light switch off. Once the lights were off,
Chris listened for a sound. Nothing. “Wesker?” he asked. But there was no answer. Chris
turned the lights on. Wesker had disappeared. “Huh? Where is the bastard?” He walked
outside the cells and saw that Wesker hadn’t gone through it. When Chris walked back to
the cells, he saw a trapdoor in the floor. “Where does this lead to?” he asked himself,
opening it. There was a ladder leading down into nothing but pure blackness. Chris
thought about climbing down it, but then he thought about his friends waiting for him. He
would have to go by himself. After all, Wesker was nothing but trouble.
Jill was getting annoyed. Chris should have been back by now. “Where is he?” she
muttered to herself. Barry was checking out the guns facility down on the first floor with
Sherry, and Leon and Claire were sitting on a bench. “Leon?” Jill asked. Leon stood up.
“Yeah?” “Chris hasn’t come back yet,” she told him. Claire walked over to her. “We
have to look for him!” she exclaimed. “No,” Jill said. “I’m going by myself.” “What?!”
Leon yelled. “You’ve got to be kidding!” “I’m not,” Jill told them. “I know what I’m
doing.” Leon and Claire exchanged looks. “We’ll wait here,” Claire eventually said.
“Yuck!” Chris exclaimed once he reached the bottom of the ladder. He was now standing
on a platform high above sewage water. “This place is gross!” Suddenly, something
heavy landed on his head and knocking him down. “Are you trying to follow me?”
Wesker’s voice asked. Chris got up and kicked Wesker in the shoulder. “Yes, as a matter
of fact, I am!” Wesker did another one of his super punches, knocking Chris into a steel
pole. Suddenly, the clanging of metal filled the area. Wesker walked over to the ladder.
Suddenly, something dropped on his head. “Jill!” Chris shouted. “Get the hell off me!”
Wesker shouted, swinging Jill around. Finally, Jill flew through the air, hitting a wall.
“Keep your hands off her!” Chris shouted, jumping at Wesker’s head. Wesker spun
around and super punched Chris in the gut, sending him towards another post.
“What’s taking her so long?” Leon asked himself. “Claire, I’m going after her. Wait
here.” “Okay......,” Claire said.
Once again, the sound of clanging filled the room. Suddenly, another cop dropped from
the manhole and hit Wesker in the back of the head. Wesker fell to the ground, and Leon
looked at his friends. “You guys okay?” he asked. “Yeah,” Chris and Jill replied together.
Wesker noticed that Leon wasn’t paying attention, so he super kicked Leon in the chest.
The next thing Leon knew, he was laying on the ground with a sharp pain in his head.
Must’ve hit something, he thought, looking behind him. His head had hit the stone wall.
Chris burst towards Wesker and jumped at his head. Wesker ducked and Chris hit the
ground. Then he got up and kicked Wesker in the gut. Wesker was getting mad. With his
temper at full power, he super kicked Chris all the way to the other end of the platform.
Suddenly, Jill hit Wesker in the back of the head with the end of her handgun, forcing a
trickle of blood to flow and knocking Wesker to the ground. He quickly got up and super
punched Jill over to where Chris was. “How could he have gotten this strong?” Jill asked
Chris. “I don’t know,” he replied. “I just don’t know.” Suddenly, something hit the
ground and thick smoke filled the cave. Once it cleared, Chris looked around. “Hey,
where’s Wesker?” Jill and Leon moved around the platform. “Gone,” Leon said. “He
must have gotten away when the smoke filled the area.” “Where could he have gone?”
Jill asked the boys. “Maybe he went back up the ladder,” Leon suggested. “Where does
the rest of this platform lead to?” Chris ran around the next corner. “Umbrella,” he told
them once he returned. “But the door lead to Umbrella HQ is boarded-up. There is no
way he could have gotten through there.” “Then he must have gone back up the ladder,”
Jill said. Chris rubbed his chin. “You guys move those boards and get to Umbrella. I’ll go
back up to the police station for my sister. We’ll meet up in the library.” Jill and Leon
exchanged glances. “Okay,” they said together.
Chris spotted a man at the top of the ladder. “Your tricks are dirty,” he said, jumping up
and kicking him. “Maybe your right,” Wesker answered, punching Chris in the gut. “But
they’re good use in an escape plan.” Chris kicked Wesker in the head, but Wesker didn’t
retaliate. Instead, he ran up the stairs, throwing another milkbottle at Chris. He quickly
jumped aside, and the bottle hit the wall next to him. The explosion caused the building
to shake, but Chris didn’t care. He got right back up and ran after Wesker.
Jill had made a fool out of herself. “Carlos!” she shouted. “We forgot about him!” Leon
jumped up. “WHAT?!” “We forgot about Carlos and left him alone! I’ll bet Umbrella has
found him!” “Perfect,” Leon said. “Just perfect.” “I guess the best we can do is get to
Umbrella through this door,” Jill told him.
Chris couldn’t believe his eyes. The whole lobby of the police station was on fire. The
balcony was jammed with officers trying to get from one place to another, and five
zombies had somehow broken in through the front doors. Must’ve come from Umbrella,
Chris thought. He ran over to the front desk and pulled out his handgun, pointing it at the
first zombie. The bullet went right through it’s brain and caught the second one in the
neck. The third zombie jumped at an officer and bite him in the stomach, knocking him
down. “AAAHHH!!!” he screamed, as the other two zombies dropped down and began
eating him. Chris jumped around and prepared to shoot the zombies, but a milkbottle
flew over his head and blew up over the man’s body, killing the zombies as well.
Suddenly, two milkbottles exploded on a wall behind a man who was standing on the
balcony. The explosion knocked him off the balcony and he hit the ground hard. He
would’ve broken his arm after that fall, Chris thought.
Suddenly, two men came running through a door and stopped when they saw Wesker.
But before they could pull out their guns, he threw a milkbottle at them, which blew them
halfway across the room.
The whole place was going crazy. Chris couldn’t believe how many explosions were
appearing. Suddenly, another explosion blew a window up above the balcony apart. The
glass shattered over an officer, cutting his shoulder. Chris ran over to the staircase
leading up to the second floor and climbed up. As soon as he reached the top, a man
bumped into him. “Watch it!” the officer yelled. Chris just ignored him and ran through
the door next to him. He found himself back in the computer lab, which had already
filled with smoke. There were a couple of officers trapped in a corner, blocked off by the
fire. “Help!” they kept yelling. “Is somebody there?!” “Yes!” Chris yelled back. “I can
hear you guys! But I can’t get to you right now!” “Send for help!” an officer shouted. “I
will!” Chris shouted. The next door led to a hallway, which led to some offices and the
waiting room. Chris broke through the door to the waiting room. Claire was laying on a
bench, unconscious. “It’s time to go,” he said as he picked her up. Chris walked all the
way to Leon’s jeep and lay Claire in the back seat. Then he ran back to the computer lab,
grabbing a fire extinguisher on his way. Once a path was cleared for the officers, they
thanked Chris, and ran out into the lobby. Chris watched the door close, and ran back to
Leon’s jeep. He jumped in the driver’s seat and turned the key.
Carlos was laying dazed on a cement floor. There were bars all around him. It appeared
that he was in some sort of cell. Unaware of where he was, he picked the lock to the
caged door. When he heard a click, he pushed the cell door open and ran up the stairs to
his right. Surely, Jill would find him. She had to. She was the only friend he now had
since his other friend had died.
“Randy!” Carlos shouted, killing the zombie. “Are you okay?” Randy Thomas covered
his ankle, which was badly bleeding. “The thing bit right through my boot,” he said.
“Hang on,” Carlos said. “I’m going to see if I can find some sort of transmission radio.”
Randy looked at Carlos. They had been resting in the area for almost half-an-hour. He
seemed to look like he had suffered a concussion. “Carlos, Let’s get out of here. Let’s go
home. I want to go home.” “We’re going to have to wait here for a bit longer,” Carlos
told him. But Randy didn’t last any longer. When Carlos left the transmission room,
Randy was lurching towards him.
There was one more survivor. Nikolai Ginovaef. He was the captain of platoon A. Carlos
called him the “Psycho Russian” since he killed all of the other soldiers. Even poor
Mikhail Viktor, and Carlos’ other friend Wersbowski. But Nikolai hadn’t been aware of
Umbrella’s “pets.” He was killed by a brain sucker earlier. Carlos shoved all of his
thoughts aside and ran down the next hallway.
Chris didn’t arrive until sundown. Umbrella’s HQ seemed creepier than ever at night.
The Umbrella symbol seemed to stick-out from the moon’s reflection. And the bastards
are going to pay for what they have done, he thought to himself. Chris moved through
the entrance and was surprised to hear voices coming from the conference room. He
peered in through the window next to the door and listen.
“Why did we even start all this?” one man asked. “Because,” another man answered.
“We wanted to test out our T-Virus and apparently, it spilled.” “But look what it’s done!”
the first man shouted. “And why did we create those deformed monsters? We wanted to
freak the citizens of Raccoon City out, and now, they are attacking us! Three men were
found dead in the basement this morning!” “Quiet down,” a third man said. “We need an
escape route.” “Hey, where’s Trent?” a fourth man asked. “He hasn’t been at work for
the last two weeks!” “Oh, him?” the second man asked. “I thought he resigned two weeks
ago.” “Yeah?” a fifth man asked. “I heard that he was telling everyone secrets about
us!” “Does anyone know where Daniel Tucker went?” a sixth man asked. “He’s been
missing for two days now!” “I think he’s been working with some of the ex-S.T.A.R.S.,”
a seventh man said. “I though they were dead!” the fourth man yelled. “I believe that only
some of them are dead,” the seventh man said. “But some of them are still alive.” “We
must stop them at all costs!” the sixth man shouted. “We will split up and secure the
whole building.” “Good!” the first man exclaimed. “Meeting adjourned!” Chris ran
through a door and closed it tight. Behind it, he could hear some of the men running
through the hall. There were about forty of them. And they’re all looking for me, Chris
told himself.
Barry was getting impatient. The others had told him that they would come get him once
they were finished. Since Barry knew a lot about guns, the gunman standing next to the
entrance had given Barry an M16. He walked out of the room to go look for the others.
But the hallway was dimly lit with little flames on the walls and on the ground. “Boy,” he
said. “I wonder what happened here.” There were two bodies on the ground. One was
still on fire, and the other was pure black. Barry checked the black body. The corpse’s
whole face was burned away, with nothing left but a yellow skull. There was a full 9mm
magazine in his jacket pocket, so Barry took it. Then he went through the next door and
out into the burning lobby.
Once the running had passed, Chris went back out into the hallway and followed the
men. One of them was walking towards the library, so Chris knocked him out. Then he
took the bullets out of the handgun and put them in his pocket. His handgun was the only
gun he could carry, since he didn’t have a backpack. He moved into the library and ran
up the flight of stairs that led to the balcony. There were many shelves, probably based
on past research that had been done. Chris ran over to the nearest door and walked
through it. He was now standing behind an Umbrella worker. Chris decided not to make
a sound, so he punched the man in the back of the head. “AAAHHH!!!” he screamed as
he hit the ground, going unconscious. Suddenly, another man ran into the opening, firing
at Chris. He quickly ducked, and then shot the man in the leg. The man stumbled, and
then fell to the ground, grabbing his leg. “Bastard,” he muttered. Suddenly, something
huge broke through the wall next to him. It was a large mutant wearing a black coat. It’s
arms were big and massive, and it’s face was hideous. It grabbed the man by the throat,
and ripped his head off. The rest of the body fell to the ground and landed in a pool of
blood. The monster threw the head away, and then turned toward Chris. “Ssstarsss,” it
clearly said. “What the hell?!” Chris shouted, shooting the monster. But the bullets
coming from his handgun were no match for this creature. Why the bullets didn’t even
affect the monster’s expression. “So,” Chris said, aiming at the monster’s face.
“Umbrella has created a new pet!” He shot the monster in the face, but it still wasn’t
enough. Chris backed away, thinking of a plan to stop this monster. Suddenly, the
monster swung it’s fist at Chris’ head. Chris ducked just in time, and the monster’s fist
broke through the wall. “Suck on this,” he yelled, shooting the monster in the mouth.
Suddenly, Chris heard the monster swallow, and then it’s body shook. The monster
collapsed to the floor, and some purple liquid poured from it’s mouth. Chris gave a sigh,
and then moved through the door at the end of the hall.
Barry thought that everything had gone bizarre. The whole lobby was on fire, and a
couple of small explosions were appearing. “Where the hell did you guys go?” he
muttered. He ran up to the second floor and headed towards the computer lab. But when
he got there, Chris and the others were nowhere to be found. The lab was also on fire and
was filled with black smoke. Barry turned around and went back out into the lobby.
Maybe they went back to Umbrella. He ran down the stairs and left the building.
Chris had just encountered another Umbrella worker. The man was pointing a gun at
Chris, and his left arm was cut. “What the hell happened to you?” Chris asked the man.
“Some damned creature slashed my arm,” he replied. “But why would it matter? You’re
going to die anyway.” Chris jumped towards the man and kicked him hard in the face.
Then he spun around and kicked the back of his head. The man fell to the ground. “Next
time,” Chris said, taking the man’s ammunition. “Be more aware.” The next hallway was
dead quiet, which made Chris shiver. There were no sounds, but something made him
feel different. Suddenly, a huge monster burst through the ceiling and landed on Chris’
head, knocking him to the ground. “Blasted thing!” Chris shouted, shooting the large
creature from the ground. This monster had a large mouth, with large claws. I’ll use a
grenade on it. Chris did a backwards somersault and jumped up, pulling a grenade from
his pocket. “Suck on this,” he said, throwing the grenade into the creature’s mouth. Chris
ducked behind a corner and covered his ears. BOOM!!!! Little pieces of the creature’s
body came flying through the air. As he looked around, he noticed that the walls were
covered in purple blood. Chris stood up and walked through the bloody hallway. There
was a long fat string of something that he couldn’t identify, but when he got a better look
at it, he realized that the fat string was part of the creature’s intestines. Gross. Suddenly,
another monster burst through the wall. This one was similar to the earlier monster, but it
had a smaller mouth and claws. Chris pulled out his handgun and shot the creature in the
eyes. It gave a quick scream, and then swung one of its claws. The claw missed Chris’
side, so he kept shooting the creature in the face. After a while, it fell to the ground, but it
wasn’t quite dead. “Here’s a little present for you,” he said as he dropped a grenade
beside it. Chris bolted through the door, and then heard a big bang. “Something’s
wrong!” a voice shouted. “Let’s check it out!”
Barry was dead tired. He had walked almost two miles, and it was dark by the time he
had reached the building. “I’m finally here,” he said, gasping for breath. Suddenly, the
ground rumbled, and Barry fell to the ground. “What the hell?” he said, standing back up
once the rumbling had stopped. “It seems to me that something is wrong.” Barry quickly
caught his breath, and then ran through the front doors. When he got in, the sound of
running footsteps echoed above him. “Hello?” Barry called out. Suddenly, a door down
the entrance hall slammed shut. “Is anyone there?” Once Barry turned around, a gun
fired. Luckily, the bullet missed him. Barry turned around and saw a man pointing a gun
at him. “Don’t move,” the man told him. “Or I’ll fire.” Barry raised his hands. “Why are
you doing this?” “You,” the man said. “Are a member of the R.P.D.’s Special Tactics and
Rescue Squad. We hate you guys. You are the people who destroyed our mansion!
Thanks to you, I can’t live in my house anymore!” “Calm down,” Barry told the man.
Chris. Chris had accidentally shot the main generator of the building. “Okay, so maybe
we were responsible for the explosion of the Spencer Estate, but it wasn’t our fault that
there were samples of the T-Virus stored in there! We, didn’t decide to start a deadly
virus that would kill everyone and destroy Raccoon City!” “On second thought,” the man
said. “Maybe it wasn’t your fault. But Umbrella hates you guys, and I was loaded with
questions. Now, I don’t have a home to go to. I sleep here. I eat here. I do my research
here. My whole life is practically run in here! It wasn’t my idea to start this virus. It was
Rick’s.” Barry thought that this man knew a lot about what has been going on. “And,
where exactly is Rick?” “Oh he was shot in the head,” the man replied. “By some
S.T.A.R.S. guy that kept escaping from his cell. When I heard about the news, I thought
that this guy would have to be one hell of a smart kid to escape the cells!” Barry knew
that this “S.T.A.R.S. guy” was actually one of his best friends. It was Chris, to be exact.
But Barry wanted to know more about the viruses. “Do you know anything about the
G-Virus. If you do, tell me what it is and who made it.” The man rubbed his chin. “If I
can remember clearly, William Birkin created it. You might have met him. He was at the
Spencer Estate before it blew up. Anyways, the G-Virus is capable of turning a normal
human being into the ultimate bio-weapon. It changes your DNA and your body will
mutate into some superhuge mutant.” “Where is this Birkin now?” Barry asked. “He
disappeared two days ago. September the twenty-eighth to be exact. His wife Annette had
also gone missing. But their daughter has somehow, survived.” Damn! Sherry must still
be in the back of Leon’s jeep!
Sherry yawned with a start. “Wh-where am I?” She looked around and saw that Claire
was sleeping beside her. “Claire!” But Claire was fast asleep. “Even if you can’t hear
this, I’m okay! Oh, I’ve missed you so much!” Sherry rested her head down on Claire’s
chest and went right back to sleep.
“You mean Sherry?” Barry asked. “Yeah,” the man replied. “How’d you know? Wait,
don’t tell me. It makes no difference.” “Anyways,” Barry said. “Do you know about any
other viruses?” The man stuck the gun in his pocket. “Can I trust you?” Barry nodded.
“You can trust me.” “Good,” the man said. “There is one more virus. It has been around
for a long time. Longer than you think. But it is a mineral. A deadly mineral to be exact. I
don’t quite know the name of it, but one of our workers discovered it.” Suddenly, a knife
was thrown at the man. It stabbed him in the neck, and he gasped for breath--a wet
sucking sound. Then he fell to the ground and blood poured from his neck. Barry looked
around for the killer, but the person had made a clear getaway. Disappointed, he pick up
the man’s gun and took out the magazine.
Chris had come to a room with four pairs of bunks. Just looking at them made him feel
very tired. But he couldn’t sleep. Not until he knew he was safe. But he could not go on
until he got some rest. He had been up for about twenty-seven hours. Chris slowly laid
down on the bottom bunk and fell fast asleep.
Chris’ dream was the same one he had had when he was a little kid. The dream included
Claire, his best childhood friend, and his parents. Claire came running into his arms and
kept yelling that his best friend had turned into a zombie. Chris ran over to his friend’s
house but he couldn’t find him. Suddenly, he heard the sound of footsteps. Then his
friend came into view. His expression was blank, and he was lurching towards Chris.
“Hey man,” he said. “It’s me, Chris!” But his friend couldn’t hear him. Chris ran all the
way down the street and came to his school. He figured he would be safe in the school’s
basement. The basement was dark, and Chris couldn’t see very well. Suddenly, his friend
appeared out of nowhere and came towards him. He ran all the way back home, and
discovered that smoke was coming from his bedroom window. This is where the dream
was different. Chris burst inside and saw that his parents were trapped in a corner. He
looked over and saw that the black creature he had encountered earlier was walking
towards them. “NO!!!” Chris kept screaming. “NO, NO, NO!!!” The monster suddenly,
grabbed his father’s head and twisted it hard enough that it ripped off. Then his mom ran
over and started beating on the monster, but it was no use. The monster super punches
her and its fist shot right through her chest. “NO!!!!” Chris screamed. Once his mom’s
corpse fell to the ground, the monster looked over at Chris, who curled up in a ball and
covered his head. The monster would first rip away his arms, then his legs............
Jill grabbed Chris. He was shaking his head and yelling. Suddenly, his eyes shot open.
“Chris!” Jill yelled. “What are you doing?” Chris looked around. “Oh, sorry,” he said. “I
fell asleep. Aren’t you tired?” Jill nodded. “Yes, I am. But we shouldn’t sleep with all
these monsters crawling around. I don’t see how you could fall asleep around here.” “I
was very tired,” Chris told her. “But I’m glad to see you. We should bunk here for
tonight. Where’s Leon?” Suddenly, the door to the room shut. “Right here,” Leon said,
running over. “Barry will be coming shortly. In the meantime, I heard something about
crashing here for tonight. Is this true?” Jill nodded. “It sure is.” “Oh good,” Leon said. “I
haven’t had any sleep for a day and a half.” The door was opened again, and Barry
walked over, closing and locking the door behind him. “Are we going to sleep?” he
asked. “We need all the sleep we can get,” Chris told him.
Chris pulled off his shirt. Underneath, he was wearing his white muscle shirt. It seemed
like he hadn’t gotten any sleep for a long time. He looked over at the others. Barry and
Jill were already asleep, and Leon was checking all his guns to see if they needed more
ammo. Leon was wearing a white T-shirt with black shorts. As he turned around, Chris
noticed that the shirt Leon was wearing had the Boston Bruins logo on the back and on
the front. “You like hockey?” Chris asked him. Leon glanced up at him. “Sure do. The
Bruins have been my favorite team ever since I was in second grade.” “At least Boston
hasn’t been infected,” Chris said. “Yeah,” Leon said, giving a little laugh. “I quite like
Toronto,” Chris told him. “They’re pretty good,” Leon said. “Where are you from?”
Chris thought of his home in Toronto. It was where he grew up along with Claire. Even
though their parents were dead, the two of them still lived there. “Toronto,” he answered.
“Toronto, Canada.” Leon nodded, and put all his guns back in his backpack. “Now, how
about a little sleep,” Leon said. “Sounds good to me,” Chris said. “Good-night.” Leon
walked over and shut the lights off. After making sure the door was locked, he walked
over to his bunk and started sleeping.
Chris couldn’t sleep. He glanced over at the others. They were all fast asleep. “I’ll be
back soon,” he whispered to them. Chris jumped down from his bunk and pulled on his
pants. Once his S.T.A.R.S. bullet-proof vest was on, he snatched his handgun and moved
out the door, closing it behind him. Chris ran down the hallway and went through a door
that led him to another hallway. He went around the first corner, gun ready. The corner
was clear, so he ran through the door beside him. The room he was now in had five desks
and two filing cabinets. Chris opened the first one and found many files on the research
Umbrella has been doing for the past five months. He pulled one out and saw that it was
based on the G-Virus.
‘FILE #31 TITLE: G-VIRUS:
The G-Virus samples have been retrieved by the only survivor of our U.B.C.S. Platoon A,
Squad A. Name: “Hunk.”
The recruit has been promoted for retrieving the virus.
The G-Virus has been used for the blood of our new creatures. It makes them stronger
and more energetic. Its effect on humans is far more powerful than on monsters. Hunk
reported that a half human, half monster thing killed all the other soldiers. The area of
the unknown creature is still being searched for. The G-Virus is purple liquid that was
discovered by Dr. William Birkin. However, Birkin suddenly disappeared two days ago
and still hasn’t been found. When the G-Virus is injected into a human’s body, it will
rapidly mutate the DNA cells within the blood. The human will then become an ultimate
bio-weapon and it would be almost impossible to stop.
End of Report.’
Chris stuffed the report in his pocket and left the room. Then he moved through the next
door and saw another Umbrella worker. He aimed his handgun at the man’s head, but
then he lowered it. The sound would be loud enough to engaged other men. Chris ran
over to the man and punched him in the back of the head. He checked the man for and
magazines, but the only one he had was the one in his gun and that magazine was half
full. “No good,” Chris said, throwing the magazine away.
Jill woke up. She must have been sleeping for no longer than an hour. Barry and Leon
were still in bed, but Chris was not. “Chris?” she called out. But there was no answer. Jill
jumped out of bed and pulled on her pants and T-shirt pads. When she was all dressed,
she grabbed her handgun and closed the door behind her. The hallway was quiet.
Everyone must have gone to sleep. Unless they couldn’t sleep with all that crap going on
around here. She walked down the rest of the hallway and went through the door at the
end.
Chris had somehow found his way back to the library, which is where he usually went.
He moved down the stairs and through the door behind him. Suddenly, a man flew
around a corner and rushed past Chris. “Run for your life!” he yelled, slamming the door
behind him. Then something big came walking around the corner. It’s that stupid
monster in the black suit again. Chris pulled out a grenade and threw it at the large
monster. Then he jumped behind a wall. BOOM!!!!! The explosion had created a giant
hole in the wall, but there was no sign of the monster. “What the hell?” Chris said,
standing up and walking over. There was no blood. “Where did it go?”
BOOM!!!!! Barry and Leon were awakened by a blast. “What was that?” Leon asked.
Barry jumped out of bed. “I don’t know. And--where the hell are Chris and Jill?” Leon
walked over to Jill’s bag. “Her handgun is missing. Aw man, now we have to go look for
them!” “No,” Barry said. “We should stay here. That blast couldn’t have been set off by
itself. One of them must have done it.” “I guess you’re right,” Leon said, falling back into
bed.
“Crap,” Chris said. “That blast was loud enough to wake up the others.” He walked
through the next door and came to a staircase leading down. At the bottom, three men lay
dead on the ground. The smell was horrible. Jeez, dead skunk. And apparently it threw up
on itself before dying. Chris walked to the end of the hallway and stopped dead in his
tracks. There was a giant cobweb above him, and small eggs were planted ten feet in
front of him. “Perfect,” Chris said, aiming his gun at the first egg. Once he shot it, the
other eggs split open, and baby maggots fell out. Only these maggots were bigger that the
ones in real life. Snap out of it. This is “real life” now. He quickly killed them, and
entered the room at the end. The room was covered in hard web and plants that were
attached to the wall. As Chris looked in front of him, he saw something that couldn’t be
real. A giant moth. “Holy crap!” he yelled, firing at the stupid thing. The moth retaliated
and climbed up onto the ceiling. Then it released some sort of acid. Chris jumped away,
and the acid burned the ground. A couple more shots, and the creature was dead. Once it
had stopped moving, he walked over to the giant moth and examined it. “Umbrella has
gone too far with their “pets,” Chris said. There was a computer in the far corner. He
walked over and turned the screen on. Suddenly, the screen shut off and the monitor blew
up. Chris jumped back and watched as the fire started to spread. Get the hell out of here!
He bolted through the door and ran down the hall as fast as he could. Suddenly, smoke
started coming out into the hallway. Chris quickly moved through a door and came to a
hallway with five zombies. Since Chris had the best aim on S.T.A.R.S., he shot them all
in the head and continued down the hallway.
Jill was moving as fast as she could. There had been a blast before that had kept her up
for the last half-hour, but she was basically tired. I must get some sleep. Besides, I’m sure
Chris is okay. He usually is.
Chris was in a storage room. There was nothing suspicious. Suddenly, two arms tried to
grab him as he came around the corner of a shelf. Chris rolled past the zombie and shot it
in the back of the head. “I didn’t expect zombies to come here,” he said. The next door
led to another hallway. The hallway was long and had one turn. Chris ran down to the
end, but this door was protected by four red lasers. “Why would the company block off
this door?” Chris asked himself. As he turned the other way, he noticed that the opposite
door had been covered with steel and four lasers. “Great. Now how do I get out?”
Claire suddenly woke up. “Wh-where am I?” Something heavy was on her stomach. As
she sat up, she noticed the person’s face. “Sherry!” Sherry was sleeping. “I’m sorry to
leave you sweetie, but I have to go now.” Claire gently lifted Sherry’s head up and then
pulled the rest of her body up on the seat. “I’ll see you later.”
Jill had returned to the bunkroom. The noise from the door had woken Leon up.
“Where’d ya go?” he asked. “I went to look for Chris,” she replied. Leon jumped up.
“Did you find him?” Jill shook her head. “No.” Leon ran over and pulled his jeans up.
“I’m going to look for him. You stay here and get some sleep.” Jill gave a quick nod, and
then took her boots off.
Leon closed the door and ran down the hallway. Chris could be anywhere. And what
about Claire? I wonder how she got out of the police station. This is getting out of hand.
Leon pulled out his shotgun and moved through the next door. Hey, if Chris is here,
where’s my jeep?! He decided he would look for his jeep before he looked for Chris.
Leon ran down some stairs through the next hallway and found himself in the entrance
hall. Outside, his jeep was parked over to the side of the building. Leon gave a quick
sigh, and then ran back in to look for Chris.
Chris was trapped. There was no escape. He would sit in the hallway and die. He knew it.
Suddenly, a huge monster broke through the wall. It was the one wearing the black suit.
“That grenade should’ve killed you,” Chris said, firing at the monster’s face. But the
bullets didn’t seem to affect it. The monster just kept on coming and coming.......
Suddenly, the monster stopped and pulled something out of it’s suit. A rocket launcher!
“Oh, crap,” Chris said, backing away. The monster fired, and Chris ducked just before
the rocket hit him. BOOM!!!!! Chris looked behind him. The rocket had hit the steel, and
the lasers blew up, creating a wall of fire. Chris ran past the monster and jumped around
the corner. Suddenly, the huge wall of fire blew on the corner wall and burned it to crisp.
Chris peered around the corner. The whole hallway was black and covered in ashes with
small flames. “Whoa,” he said, looking around for the monster. But the darn thing had
disappeared again. “Where the hell is that sucker?!” Chris yelled. Instantly, he ran over to
the steel covered door, but it seemed to be bolted to the wall. That was only one way he
could go. There was an opening in the wall where the monster had broken through.
Snickering, he ran through and looked around at the wide monitor room. There were ten
computers above a wide panel, and a metal door on the opposite wall. Chris walked over
to the monitors. Each of them showed different parts of the basement. Monitors 3, 5, 6,
and 8 were broken, but the rest of them worked. He watched as the screens kept moving
back and forth. Suddenly, a door shown on monitor number 2 broke open, and three
zombies lurched threw. Then another door shown on monitor 4 broke open, revealing
five zombies. “Crap, how’d they get in?” Chris asked. BAM!!!! He spun around. The
metal door had somehow obtained a dent. And then another appeared. And another. Uh
oh. Then the metal door fell apart, and three zombies slid towards Chris. BANG!!!
BANG!!! three shots killed the first zombie. He continued to fire, but his gun eventually
started clicking. Then the magazine fell out, and Chris slapped another one in. BANG!!!
BANG!!! The other two zombies fell. “That was impossible!” Chris shouted. “They
couldn’t have gotten through that metal door.” But it was possible. Zombies could brake
through most things except for walls and steel objects. Plus, they couldn’t climb up stairs.
Chris ran through the place where the metal door once stood and continued down the
hallway.
Leon was trapped in a corner. Nemesis was closing in on him, and there were no other
doors in the room. “You want a piece of me?” he asked. “Well come and get it!” Leon
pulled out his AR33. Tattatattatattatatta......... Nemesis stumbled back, but kept on
coming. Click! Click! The AR33 had run out of ammo, and there was no time to reload
it. Nemesis swung its big, massive arm. Leon rolled underneath and bolted for the door.
Once he was out, he slammed the door and stuck something heavy in front of it. BAM!!!
Nemesis had rammed the door, but it was no use. The ramming eventually stopped, and
Leon gave a sigh once it did. “Close,” he said, reloading his AR33. The next hallway led
to some stairs going down. Once he reached the bottom, two zombies came towards him.
Tattatattatattatattatatta........ The zombies fell forward, and they twitched until all their
blood was out. “I think I’ve seen enough blood,” Leon said, jumping over the pool of red
liquid.
Chris had reached the cells again. “I can’t even remember how many times I’ve seen
these!” he yelled with a laugh. “It seems I like to come here a lot.” They were so easy to
escape. When he was locked up, he got away at least three times. The guard had fallen
for his tricks. What a loser! Chris walked through the door at the end and came to a
hallway that led to the basement lab. There were some lockers in the first room that led
connected with the lab. Chris opened the first one and found some sort of gun. He got a
better look at it when he picked it up. “A magnum!” he exclaimed. “This could be
useful.”
Carlos was looking around the outside of the building when he spotted someone
suspicious. A man in a trenchcoat? I’ve seen someone like that. “Mr. Oliveara!” the man
yelled with surprise. “How good to see you again!” Carlos ran over. “T-Trent?” The man
took off his hat. “Did my information help you in any way?” Carlos nodded. “It sure
did!” Trent smiled. “That’s good to hear. But I have some more information to give you.”
Chris had found three magnum magazines in the next locker. “This is all luck!” he
shouted with glee. He stuck his handgun in his pocket and slapped a magazine in the
magnum. Then he went into the lab. As soon as Chris entered, a zombie reached for him.
Chris fired, and the zombie’s head blew into pieces, and blood splattered all over the
wall. “Whoa,” he said in a surprised tone. “This thing is powerful!” Just then, another
zombie moaned at him. Chris faced the walking dead and shot it in the waist. It’s upper
torso fell backward, and then crawled towards him. He walked over and stepped on its
head, which gushed under his boot. Then he shot the other two zombies in the head. Once
they had fallen down, he walked over to a computer and switched it on. “Umbrella’s
files,” Chris said. “I wonder what I’ll find........”
Claire was in the large library. “Okay,” she said. “I found my way here, now how do I get
out?!” The library was big. Too big. Big enough for someone to get lost. She walked over
to the stairs in the middle of the library and climbed up. At the top, she looked over the
edge of the balcony. “I can see at least two doors,” Claire muttered. “And I came from
the one over in the far right corner.” She ran back down to the bottom floor and made her
way over to the door she hadn’t been through. The hallway was cold, probably because
she was wearing a T-shirt and shorts. She had given her dark pink vest to Sherry. There
was a headless body on the ground, and a large hole in the ceiling. Claire walked around
the headless body and made her way to the door at the end.
Leon had found a dead giant moth in a room that had burned up. A blown-up computer
lay in the corner of the room but other than that, the room was trashed. He walked back
out into the hallway and moved over to the next door. But this door stuck. Leon stepped
back and rammed into it, but it still didn’t budge. “Darn,” he said, walking back down
the T shaped hallway. There was one more door next to the stairs. Leon ran over and
kicked it open. This hallway led to another door, which also didn’t open. On his way
back to the stairs, he noticed an opening in the wall next to him. A dented metal door lay
inside the room. Curious, Leon stepped in and looked around. The room had ten monitors
in the corner, and a large opening in the wall to his left. He walked over to the monitors
and watched monitor number 1. Suddenly, Chris ran into view and a bullet barely missed
his head. Chris ran through the door next to him. Once the door shut, a man wearing
sunglasses came into view. The man had dirty blond hair and was wearing a black suit
with a bullet-proof vest tucked underneath. Leon noticed that the little badge on his
sleeve. S.T.A.R.S. “Who the hell is this guy?” he asked himself. Suddenly, Chris came
into view again on monitor 2, which displayed a large room. Then the man with the black
suit jumped on Chris.
Chris rolled onto his side. “Why do you want me dead?!” he yelled. Wesker kicked Chris
in the back. “Because you know too much,” he replied. “You know too much about
what’s going on.” Chris jumped up and kneed Wesker in the gut. “Your plan to kill me
will not succeed!” But Wesker recovered quickly and super punched Chris in the face,
which sent him flying to the other side of the room. Chris lay on the ground, feeling
dizzy. “You’re getting weaker every time I hit you!” Wesker spat. Chris looked over and
saw a chair. In an instant, he ran over and threw it at Wesker. The chair missed Wesker’s
head, and the next thing Chris knew, he was laying on the ground with a sharp pain in the
side of his head. “I’m just too fast for you,” Wesker laughed. Chris touched the side of
his head. It was bleeding. Wesker was winning, and he did not know how to stop him.
Suddenly, two monsters fell through the ceiling. The first monster was the one with the
black suit, and the second monster had green skin. Wesker glanced at the monsters and
smiled. “I see you’ve met Nemesis,” he said, looking at the monster with the black suit.
“And Hunter. Gotta go!” Wesker ran out of the door and locked it behind him, leaving
poor Chris with the two monsters. “Sssstaarrrssss,” Nemesis clearly said. It was over.
Chris would be killed by these monsters............
