You're Gone

Back to my Poetry page
You’re gone
But I can still smell you
It has been so long
Since I have seen you
I wonder what you are doing
Where you have been
Who’s daughter you’re screwing
And why you still have that stupid grin
I can still hear your voice
Though I don’t want to
Because that same voice
Told me we were through
Time after time
You come back to me
But one of these times
You will have to settle for a memory
You were gone
But I can see you’re here
It won’t take long
To throw you out again dear
