This Morning

I left you this morning
Wondering what would happen next
After all the years of mourning
Our love should have been fixed

It doesn’t matter what happened now
Because it is finally done
There is no turning back now
I still wish you were the one

I will never say goodbye
But I will never say hello
For all the years I cried
There was at least one more hello

I left you this morning
Your body laid there dead
And after all these years of mourning
You finally listened to what I said
