Rose Sheets

You staind my favorite rose colored sheets
And used up all the hot water
Somehow you fell out of my reach
But I won't have to say "should have fought harder"

We talked for hours
About how much we were in love
You picked me wild flowers
And I lost everything I ever had control of

I search for you
Yearning for one soft touch
Willing to tell how much I love you
And missing you so much

You packed your things
Unlocked the door to leave
So this is what losing you brings?
As you stare in my eyes you dry my face with your sleeve

What do I say to bring you back?
If there was a way I would
This time I would keep track
And treat you just like I should

You staind my favorite rose colored sheets
And we made love in the rain
I won't let you out of my reach
Nor will I hide this pain

Inspired by: My Lennon CD and Joe. It started out thinking about this senario...and after the first two lines...I started thinking of Joe and what we're going through right now....so this is to Joe.
