My Inspiration

Home

Here are some of the poems, writers and others that have inspired me to be well...me.

First is Walt Witman. He is one of the greatest writer's (in my mind) He has inspired me to write what I think is best, and not to worry about what others think.

Here are two great Poems by him.

This one is kinda long, but it is worth reading, any time I get down I think or read this poem and I am fine again.

I Sing The Body Electric

These I sing in spring

Beth told me when I got her the Emily Dickinson book that there was a poem in there that reminded her of me... here it is:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"If I can stop one heart"
If I can stop one heart from breaking,
I shall not live in vain;
If I can ease one life the aching,
Or cool one pain,
Or help one fainting robin
Unto his nest again,
I shall not live in vain.
Janis Joplin!!!
This took me a hell of a long time to do. Actually, 4 hours straight. I'm very proud of it, and that's all that matters. This is to show how much I love Janis Joplin's music. She's great (as great as Tori in my mind) I can relate to all of her songs, but the ones I have the lyrics to here, well...I relate on a different level with these...personal. The deal with the pictures? well, the songs show how you feel during the time, so if Janis has a lonely face, then it's a sad song..... Hope ya like!
Farewell Song ~~~~~ I like this song because we all have to end it somewhere...
Ball & Chain ~~~~~ Love at times, feels like a ball and chain
Turtle Blues ~~~~~ This is my anthem...(you'll know why)
Kosmic Blues ~~~~~ A really good, really depressing number everyone relates to.
MY FAVORITE SONG..Little Girl Blue ~~~~~ The best of the best
A Woman Left Lonely ~~~~~ You can only take it soo long. I know that for a fact
MERCEDES BENZ ~~~~~ The song that my Dad hated for me to listen to (all the time) when I was younger. I love this song because it's totally different.
