Reoccurring Dream

This reoccurring dream
Will not let me sleep
It was never as it seemed
Yet, I'm guilty of letting my mind creep

Awake or asleep
It's all I can see
This love, this hate
That has ahold of me

You were there
When I needed oh so much
I let go and hid somewhere
It's my fault we lost touch

But in this simple dream
We're one once more
As beautiful as it may seem
In this dream, we're there forever more

This reoccurring thought
Will not let me be
As much as I have struggled and fought
It still has a hold of me
