"So what's up with you and that fine, lovely lady you call your friend?" AJ smirked.
Nick gave him a blank stare and AJ laughed,"Hey Nicky looks like you got that look down pat huh?"
Nick rolled his eyes,"Ok what are you babbling about?"
"You and Jessica. You like her don't you? And you wanna know a secret? We all think she's likes you too. We're all taking bets on when you two will get together. So make it soon so I win."
"We're just friends! How many times do I have to tell you people this? Do you want me to stand on my head and sing it for you? Then will the point be across?? AND I can't believe you're all taking bets! What is this? The Kentucky Durby???"Nick fumed.
"Whoa a little on the defensive side aren't you. Deny all you want, but just for your information, we ALL know what's going on in your dense blond head. You want to jump her sexy bones."
"You're a friggin perv you know that? Is that all you think about?" Nick snapped, his face turning red.
"That's why they call me Bone, Nickers."
"Don't call me Nickers,"Nick mumbled turning away, while AJ smirked.
"You know, everyone thinks we have some sort of secret love affair going on or something," Jessica giggled to Nick. "Are you listening to one word I'm saying?"
No, Nick wasn't listening. He was too concentrated on her sparkling blue eyes, her full, pink lips, her perfect, round breasts... "Yeah sorry Jess."
"Nick why are you staring at me like that? Are you feeling alright?"
Nick was feeling just fine. Truth was, Nick was totally crazy for his sexy, beautiful friend. AJ was right, he did want to jump her bones, but he also wanted more than that. Nick's had a thing for Jessica for a LONG time, ever since he was 15. He kept his feelings a secret because he wasn't sure she felt the same way, and it was probably gonna stay that way unless she gave him a sign that she liked him as much as he liked her, which was not happening at the time. Nick had met her 5 years ago at an audition for an off-Broadway play. Jessica was a dancer and sang as well. Dancing was her real passion. Ballet, tap, jazz, you name it she did it. Anyway, they became friends and kept in touch over the years. He left when he was 12 and didn't see her for 3 years. When he came back, he hardly recognized her. The little girl he left was a beautiful woman. And that's when her fell, and fell HARD. Ever since then she was the object of his affection. He barely knew how to act or what to say around her now. Ever time she would smile or touch him, he'd almost pass out. He couldn't even look at her without getting turned on.
"Ground control to Nick...ground control to Nick...come in Commander,"Jessica playfully said. "Nick I'm serious are you alright? You look out of it."
He really thought his face would permanently be the nice shade of crimson it was now, "Yeah I'm fine, I know I'm out of it, I'm sorry."
She smiled, "It's ok babe, as long as my Nicky's ok."
He smiled and forced himself not to pass out.
"Nick you look tense. Lay down and I'll give you a massage."
Great, really great. Now he was gonna have a hard time controlling Carter Jr. with her hands on his body, but he still listened. He layed face down on the floor and felt Jessica climb on his back. He stiffled a groan when he felt her soft, manicured hands go up his shirt and rub his shoulders.
'Fuck that feels good...'he thought to himself as her hands traveled down to his lower back.
As if she read his mind, she leaned down and whispered almost seductively in his ear, "Does that feel good?"
"Oh God yeah,"he moaned.
"Nick?"
"Yeah Jess?" His eyes were closed and he was really enjoying this.
"I have to talk to you." She climbed off his back and he rolled over so he could see her.
"Ok, you've got my full attention...what is it?"
She looked away as her cheeks turned a light shade of pink, "Um, about the rumours the guys were talking about...about us"
"If it's bothering you, I'll tell them to stop and they will."
"No it's not that it's-" Just then they were interrupted by Brian and Leighanne.
"What are you kids doing?" Brian asked, jokingly.
"Well Jessica was about to tell me something," Nick said as if saying 'GET OUT NOW'. He really wanted to know what she was gonna say.
"No it can wait, I'll talk to you later about it Nick," Jessica said, almost sounding grateful that Brian and Leighanne walked in.
"Are you sure? We can leave,"Leighanne said glancing back and forth between Nick and Jessica.
"NO! I mean, um, stay,"Jessica mumbled.
Brian shrugged then him and Leighanne sat down on a couch and turned the TV on. "ESPN is the greatest channel ever invented."
"If we have to watch one more basketball game I'm gonna throw my shoe through the TV so you can't watch it,"Leighanne joked.
"You wouldn't do that to me would ya baby?" Brian asked with a puppy dog face.
"Oh no not the puppy face!" she laughed pretending to shield her eyes. "No I wouldn't. You're lucky I love ya too much."
"You're right. I am lucky,"Brian smiled and kissed her softly on the lips.
Nick glanced at Jessica, she had a smile on her face, "You guys are so cute!" she exclaimed.
"We know," Brian said with fake arrogance.
Nick just wished they would leave so he could talk with Jessica...
An hour later, Brian and Leighanne left the room.
"Finally, what were you gonna say before,"Nick asked her.
"Forget it, it was nothing."
"No I wanna know."
"Fine...Nick...ivelikedyouforlikeforevernowandiknowyoudontfeelthesamewayijustthoughtyoushouldknow."
"Huh??I didn't catch anything after you said my name."
"I said I've like you for forever now and I know you don't feel the same way, I just thought you should know."
Nick felt his heart beating in his chest. He grabbed her and pressed his lips passionately to hers. "God Jess, do you know how long I've waited to hear you say that?"
"Do you know how long I've waited to feel you kiss me like that?" she asked with a smile.
"How long?"
"WAYYY too long," Jessica said and pulled Nick to her, kissing him again.
