Chapter Six
Our date had just gone perfectly. It couldn't have gone any better. I was a little bit worried though because I was falling so hard and fast for him and he would just be going away tomorrow. I would only get hurt and I didn't want that. It just wasn't fair.
"Are you ok Ang?"Nick asked me, turning my face to look at his. His questioning ocean blue eyes peered into my dark ones that were clouded with hurt and concern. He ran his fingers through my hair as my head rested on his lap. After our date we had gone back to my apartment and were now sitting on the couch watching TV.
"No, I'm not ok,"I told him honestly and sat up. My tone was low and quiet and Nick's expression became surprised.
"Did I do something?"he asked me, pulling me onto his lap. I straddled him and faced him. I let my fingers trace his cheek for a second then I met his eyes again.
I nodded and my eyes watered,"You came into my life and made me fall for you and you're leaving tomorrow. I'm just going to get hurt. I really like you Nick."
"Wow...I-um,"Nick said, taking a deep breath and pulled me to him, wrapping his arms around my waist. His fingers crept under the back of my shirt a little and rubbed my back lightly. "I really like you too Angela." His lips slowly found mine and we shared a tender and passionate kiss. My fingers tangled in his hair as he kissed me. When we broke apart he leaned his forehead against mine. "I don't want to leave, Ang. I really don't, but I have no choice. We can try to make it work. I'll call you everyday, I promise."
I wanted to argue with him but I figured that wouldn't get me anywhere, so I snuggled closer to his embrace. My head rested on his shoulder. He held me tighter like he didn't want to let go.
"So Meredith might be coming home soon. Don't be alarmed. Just don't make any sudden movements and I'll pass out the earplugs shortly,"I joked to lighten the mood.
Nick actually looked a little nervous,"Is she...that bad?"
I smiled,"Well to put it simply...yes."
Now he actually looked a little scared and I had to stop messing with him,"Nick chill out, I'm just messing with you. She'll probably be a little star struck. Well maybe a lot star struck, but she'll probably be really cool after she meets you. She's just a big fan and-"
Nick cut me off with a heart stopping kiss. He rolled me over on the couch until I was lying on my back and he was on top of me. I wrapped my legs around his body and my hands found their way under his shirt. His skin was heated and my fingers roamed his back. Nick's lips traveled to my neck and then to my earlobe and he sucked it. I moaned loudly.
"Looks like I found a spot,"Nick said huskily and grinned.
I smiled and kissed his lips.
"ANG! Look what I got!"
I groaned as Meredith burst through the apartment door. This was starting to become her daily greeting. Nick and I sat up on the couch.
"Hi Mere..."I said without getting up. I was wondering how long it would take her to notice Nick. I figured in about 5...4...3...2...
"Holy crap..."
Bingo.
"Mere, this is Nick,"I said, as the two of us stood up and walked towards her.
Nick stuck his hand out,"Hi."
Meredith stared at him her eyes wide, mouth hanging open, and a tiny, fluffy puppy in her slim arms.
"Speaking is good Meredith,"I joked and laughed at her expression.
"I-uh-um...hi,"she finally said.
Nick smirked as she gingerly shook his hand.
"Oh geez, Meredith what did you get?"
She shook out of the semi-trance she was in and grinned widely,"This is Theo, isn't he the cutest??"
"Adorable...why Meredith?? Why did you get us a dog???"I said, slowly losing my temper. I should be used to her antics by now, but I don't know if a person can ever get used to them.
Nick scooped the puppy from her arms,"Awww! How can be mad as this Ang?" He held the dog up in front of my face, glancing at Meredith conspiratorially, who was again staring at him in total and complete shock.
"Nick, stop,"I said, tiredly and turned to Meredith,"You know we can't afford a dog. We can hardly afford to live here ourselves."
"A guy that Rob works with gave it to him. His dog just had puppies and he can't keep them all. He's a lap dog so he'd be no problem, and he's such a sweetie. Look at him. How cute is he?"Meredith said, taking the dog from Nick and cradling him in her arms like a baby.
"I'm not saying he's not cute Meredith, I'm just being practical. Why didn't Rob keep him? Besides you know they don't like animals in the building,"I said.
"I already checked it out. If Theo's not a disturbance then we can keep him. And Rob couldn't keep him because animals aren't allowed in his building at all. Please Angela, look how sweet he is,"Meredith practically begged. "It's all up to you now. Pleassse Ang, he's so cute. Say yes."
"Yeah Ang, say yes,"Nick added, getting caught up in Meredith's drama.
I sighed. I was obviously not going to win this battle,"Alright, we can keep him."
Meredith cheered and thrusted Theo in my arms. I had to admit, he was adorable. His innocent big brown eyes peered up at me curiously then he licked my arm.
"AWWW, Angie made a friend!"Meredith giggled.
"So where's my buddy Robbie? Has he actually detached himself from you?"I said smartly, placing the dog on the floor.
"Real cute Ang. Real cute,"she said to me then turned to Nick and gave him a charming smile. "This is so weird. I can't believe you're dating my best friend and in my living room."
"What did I tell ya?"I whispered to Nick who just smiled at Meredith uncomfortably.
"You know Merrie, Nick's actually very normal and down to earth,"I told her.
"But you're a Backstreet Boy. That's so cool,"Meredith grinned. I rolled my eyes. I can't believe my best friend, no make that my 23 year old best friend, has completely turned teenybopper on me. It's bad enough when one of them isn't here. Now that one of them is here it's a lost cause.
"Meredith, calm down,"I said, and linked fingers with Nick.
She looked at him sheepishly,"I'm sorry, you probably think I'm crazy. I acted like a teenybopper."
Nick shrugged then smiled,"It's cool."
Meredith smiled,"Ok."
"Anyways Mere, aren't you and Rob doing something tonight?"I hinted. I wanted Nick to spend his last night in New York with me if he could.
She looked confused,,"No why-"she caught the look I threw her way and the tone in my voice and said,"Wait, oh right, we are. I'm supposed to go over there and we're going to go out tonight. That's right, thanks for reminding me." Meredith laughed nervously as I rolled my eyes once again. Niiice save. She's such a blond.
"Well it was nice meeting you Nick, I should be going,"Meredith said.
Nick nodded,"You too. See ya."
"Bye Angela, I'll just take Theo with me,"Meredith said while picking up the small puppy and then turned to leave.
"Bye Mere,"I replied as she headed out the door.
I turned to Nick and slid my arms around his waist, looking up at him. I really wanted to ask him to stay, but I didn't want him to think I was crazy. It was worth a shot though and I found myself impulsively blurting it out like a moron,"Stay here tonight?"
He thought for a second then smiled and said,"Yeah, I'll stay."
Well that was a relief. I smiled at him then he leaned down and pressed his lips against mine. His kisses were always soft and passionate and perfect. I wonder if he knew how good of a kisser he actually was. Nick deepened the kiss and his hands went under the back of my shirt and slid underneath my bra. He slowly unhooked it and very carefully and cautiously he dragged his hands to the front of me and cupped my breasts. I moaned as he twisted my hard nipples between his warm fingers. Oh geez, he definitely knew how to please women.
Nick broke the kiss and whispered in my ear,"Wanna take this to the bedroom?"
I wanted to scream 'HELL YEAH!' but I didn't want to come off insane so instead I nodded and took his hand, leading him to my room.
"That was...wow,"Nick said as he rolled off of me and my head dropped onto his bare, sweaty chest.
That was a complete and total understatement. What just happened was beyond 'wow'. That was close to heaven. "Yeah that was pretty wow,"I replied, breathing heavily. I snuggled up closer and Nick pulled me tighter. I kissed his chest lightly then his lips.
"You are so freakin gorgeous. You know that right?"Nick said and I rolled off of him.
Turning to my side, I rested my head on my hand and smiled. I could feel my face blushing slightly from the comment,"So you tell me."
"You're amazing,"Nick said, kissing my nose.
"So are you,"I replied, kissing his lips.
Nick rolled on top of me, keeping his weight on his arms, careful not to hurt me, and kissed me again. His lips trailed down my body and I moaned loudly. Once again he was driving me crazy with his kisses and I could feel his length stiffen against my body.
"You know, I can go again,"Nick said in a low, sexy voice, sucking on my neck. He already knew where every spot on my body was that drove me crazy. We had spent the last hour exploring eachother's bodies.
"Please Nick, I need you inside of me,"I groaned, and my hands pressed against his lower back.
In one quick, hard thrust he was inside of me. Crying out his name, I met his thrusts. It felt like heaven again, as it did the other 2 times I'd made love to him. Nick was definitely well endowed and I arched my back up and pressed myself harder into him, trying to get him as deep into me as I could. I cried out loudly as he quickened the pace.
Nick whispered huskily,"God you feel so good. You're so tight and wet."
He kept a quick but steady pace and my cries got louder as he reach between us and rubbed my clit.
Nick's face buried in my neck and he groaned. While kissing my chest, he took one of my hands in his and squeezed lightly,"I'm so close baby."
"Me too Nick,"I whispered in ecstasy.
His pace quickened even more and my body shuddered. My legs curled around his waist and we both screamed out as I tightened around his length and had a mind blowing orgasm. I felt him explode inside of me and he slammed into me a few final times before he collapsed on top of me once again.
"I think I saw stars this time. That was...wow,"I said a minute later and grinned.
Nick lifted his head up and laughed before kissing me deeply. He rolled off of me and embrace me tightly,"I never wanna let you go."
I looked him in the eyes and said softly,"So don't."
