Seeing Double-Part One

Part One

Kristin's Point Of View

I came waltzing into the apartment I shared with my twin practically on cloud nine.

My sister,Olivia, looked up at me and raised a perfectly shaped eyebrown and threw the latest issue of Cosmopolitan down on the kitchen table, standing up. Liv was clad unsurprisingly in a skin tight black tank top that showed off more cleavage then I thought possible without flashing the world and showing her perfectly tanned and toned tummy and her bellybutton ring. Her long hair was hanging loose and she had on a pair of red hip hugging pants.

"Kris, what happened you have that look on your face,"Liv said with a smirk, walking over to me with her arms folded.

Olivia and I were identical 20 year old twins. With our long, straight milk chocolate colored brown hair, deep brown eyes, slim 5'9" frames, and full pouty lips, Olivia and I were impossible to tell apart. In our case, appearances couldn't be more deceiving. Olivia was always loud and wild. Partying staying out late, showing off her body, flashy clothes, and flirting incessantly with tons of guys were her thing. I didn't really enjoy the party scene too much and I wouldn't be caught dead in some of the things Olivia wears. Therefore, she classifies me as "boring".

I smiled innocently,"I don't know what you're talking about."

"Oh don't play dumb Kristin. What have you been up to,"Liv said.

I grinned. Liv could always read me like a book,"I was on a date."

Her mouth dropped open and her eyes widened,"With who?? How come you didn't tell me??"

"Well I went to see Dad at the Firm and I ran into the one and only Nick Carter from the Backstreet Boys,"I said excitedly. Our father worked for the Firm management and it definately had its perks. Liv shrieked and pounced on me.

"NO FUCKING WAY!"she yelled gripping onto my shoulders and staring me in the face. "You're not lying to me are you???"

"No Liv I'm not lying to you,"I said, rolling my eyes. "God he's soo great...and he wants to see me again."

"It's so not fair! You get the celebrity and I get no one,"Liv pouted. Suddenly her pout faded and she got the look on her face that I knew meant one thing. Trouble. She always managed to think up some cockamamie idea and get me involved when she got that look on her face. Somehow I didn't think that this time would be any different.

"Oh no,"I told her right away. "You are not getting me involved in some crazy plan. No way in hell. So don't even tell me what you're thinking."

Her eyes brightened and she looked excited. I started walking into the living room and she trailed after me,"Oh come on this is a good idea!"

"Oh please, how many times have I heard that before,"I groaned. "I remember the last time I heard that from you. I swear, the things you get me dragged into. I don't want to hear it Liv."

"But this will be SOOO fun!"she begged, bouncing down next to me on the couch. "Just hear me out."

I shook my head, refusing to give in,"No because then if I don't hear what it is you can't talk me into anything crazy."

She gave me an innocent look and put her hand on her chest,"Me? Do anything crazy? Come on Kris you know me better then that."

"Unfortunately I do and I know what that mind of yours is capable of,"I told her giving her a stern look.

She rolled her eyes and waved her hand dismissively,"You sound like Mom."

"Whatever,"I replied. I was in too good of a mood to let my sister ruin it. I still couldn't believe I had just been out with Nick Carter. It was all too unreal. He was a genuinely good person and I wanted desperately to get to know the man and not just the pop star.

"Listen to me Kris, just listen ok?"Liv begged.

I began sorting through the mail and glance up at her,"Fine but I'm telling you right now that I'm not going to do anything."

"Remember the time when we switched places so you could ace the bio test for me in high school..."

I groaned loudly and immediately knew where this was going,"Absolutely not. I really like Nick, Liv. I'm not about to let you go pretending you're me." It was just typical of my sister to suggest we share a guy.

"Just for one date. Do you really think I'd want to wear your clothes for more then one day anyway?"Liv said.

I glared at her,"What a way to get into my good books Olivia. Why don't you just let it go? There will be plenty of guys for you. Why can't you just let me have one for once and accept that he likes me and not you."

Liv grinned impishly,"He doesn't even know me. Come on, he won't know what hit him. It'll be great. We can just mess with his mind a little."

I stared at her blankly,"Are you actually listening to these words come out of your mouth?"

She looked insulted,"Yes I am Kristin."

"I'm not going to be messing with anyones mind because I genuinely like this guy ok. I don't want to start off the relationship with a lie."

"He'll never know. Just one date Kris, please? I really want to see what he's like. All I'm asking is for one little date,"Liv said, giving me her innocent "lost child" look that she knew I couldn't refuse.

"One date? And then you'll never bother me about him again?"I said staring straight into my sister's eyes, making sure she wasn't lying.

She raised three fingers and gave me a goofy smile,"Scout's honor."

"I'm warning you Olivia. If you kiss him or touch him in any way, you're going down sweethart,"I playfully warned.

"Threaten your own flesh and blood like that,"Liv said in mock horror.

I nodded,"Yeah that's right."

"I wouldn't hurt you Kris. We're sisters and I love you. You may aggrevate me sometimes..."

"Me aggrevate you?? Who's the one that comes up with crazy ideas like this one to SHARE a guy??"

"Hey, I think it's a damn good idea,"she grinned.

Even though I was only 10 minutes older, it felt like 10 years sometimes,"Oh Livvy...give me a hug."

We embraced, giggling. There was definitely no replacing my sister that's for sure.

Olivia's Point of View

I stood beside Kristin in the mirror. Well I looked exactly like her that's for sure. Well we already looked alike but you know what I mean. I scrunched up my nose, I looked boring. Plain hip hugging snug fitting black pants and a turqouise, scoop neck three quarter sleeve top. Leave it to my sister to dress me up to look like I'm going for a leisurely stroll in the park instead of out on a date with a totally hot Backstreet Boy. She wouldn't even let me spice up the outfit with leather pants. Kristin could be so dull sometimes, I swear. I mean Nick didn't have to know she dressed this boring everyday. I couldn't even wear my makeup.

"Don't looked so thrilled,"Kristin said sarcastically.

"Sorry,"I muttered. "So you're coming?"

"Oh hell yes. I'm not letting you go off galavanting with the guy of my dreams without some kind of supervision. For all I know you'll end up taking him to one of those freaky, chains and black leather clubs,"Kristin said, pulling my hair back and twisting it up into a clip.

"Not dressed like this,"I mumbled. "What if he sees you?"

"I don't know,"Kristin shrugged. "I'll be carefully. I'll stay far behind. I just want to make sure you don't end up stealing my man."

"How can I do that when he'll think I'm you?"I said, giving my sister a 'what are you stupid?' look.

"Good point,"she nodded with a laugh. "It'll make me feel better if I go. After all this is my date."

"Fair enough,"I shrugged, pulling the shirt down to show some cleavage.

"Oh and you better not make me look like a ho,"Kristin said handing me a small black purse.

"Oh don't worry thats kinda hard to do with what you gave me to work with here,"I joked, gesturing to the outfit.

She gave me a warning look and I knew I better not push my luck.

I saw Kristin pull her hair back into a low pony tail and clip it back with a long clip. She had on a navy blue turtle neck top and tight jeans.

"Remember don't get too attached,"she reminded me, putting a sisterly arm around me.

"I won't, he's your man. I just don't want to miss out on seeing what he's like,"I said.

"One date,"Kristin told me firmly.

"One date,"I repeated with a nod. We both laughed. We were always getting into stuff like this and it's so much fun. Even though Kristin says she hates doing it I know she doesn't. I think she has just as much fun as me. It's part of our sisterly bonding experiences and I know she gets caught up in the excitement even though she'll deny it.

"Can't I just wear my clothes?"I whined and rolled the shirt up to show my navel.

Kristin fixed the shirt,"No."

Suddenly the we heard a knock on our apartment door. My sister and I exchanged glances.

"Show time,"I smirked.
