There are times in the past where I have considered doing a commentary on a conversation that took place on IM, but so far...there have only been quotes. Now, here is a conversation I find extremely hilarious. Oh, and anything that is in bold was not that way in the original conversation...it is merely used for emphasis.

Anonymous IM user we will call 'Steve': life is beautiful
Me: why do you say that?
Steve: well, do you have a pet? i love my pet, and it made me realize that i care about my pet, and would never allow any harm to come to it
me: no pets
him: why not? :(
me: $
me: and I just wouldn't take care of it..
me: I'm a bad person to have in charge of anything living
him: well...it sounds cheesy, but you could get a virtual pet on your compy*
him: well then i'm afraid i can't talk to you anymore if you have no respect for life

'Steve' left at that time. There is a strong possibility that blocking was involved, which, of course, only makes the story that much better.

I will not be explaining why any of this is funny.

* He said 'compy'...I just wanted to make sure you noticed.
