STORYLINE:

Although this serial is call "Legend of the eight immortals" but the main focus is on Lu Dongbin (Played by Ma Jingtao) . It shows his love affair with Mudan Fairy(Played by Phyllis Quek) and how he fight againest the evils together of the 7 other immortals. One of the immortal is of course Han Xiangzi (Played by Jerry), in his previous life, he was Fei Zhangfang, a high-post general. He was degraded to a small-post after he go againest the law when his wife and mother were killed by Chuan Shangjia (Played by Xie Shaoguang). Fei Zhangfang became one of the immortals only after much persuasion from Tie Guaili( Played by Lin Yisheng).

I can see improvement in this serial, he actually acted out the difference in character of Fei Zhangfang and Han Xiangzi quite well. I'll give him a 7/10

Seen & Heard:

Jerry was voted as one of the best styling in the serial.Which means his looks and costumes resemble Han Xiangzi.And this serial is one of the highest viewership in 1998.
