Rating For The Serial:

A very simple story, not much surprises. I'll give it a 6/10

BEST ACTING:

Ivy Lee. She has improve a lot from her early days.

WORST ACTING:

Terence Cao. From his first serial until now, he is still "acting"!Can see that he is trying very hard to squeeze out all the expressions.Wonder why he's given 90 points for his acting by the scriptwriter?

Rating For Jerry Performance:

I would say Jerry had performed quite well for this show. At least he's rather natural compare to the over-action Terence Cao. Jerry and Priscellia makes a great couple too! I'll give Jerry's acting a 7/10

Seen & Heard:

The scriptwriter of this serial had given Jerry a 20/100 for his performance in the show. His reason given for this rating is because Jerry did not met his requirement for the role he had originally written . "Fu Ah Hua" as written by him was a loud-spoken, rough, in other words "Very Phua Chu Kang". He said Jerry had acted as though Ah hua was a high-educated and refined young man. Totally different from the script. Jerry retorted by saying the role of "Ah hua" had already been changed after the script reach the hands of the producer. There's no need for him to act Ah-beng , let alone being like Phua Chu Kang. Jerry felt that the scriptwriter is very uncreative by thinking all contractor behave like Phua Chu Kang. This is the first time Jerry is very angry over a negative comments. The producer of the serial stands up for Jerry by saying Jerry's performance definitely not worth just 20 points.

My Comments:

This is the first time a scriptwriter had criticise an actor so openly. I don't know why I had this feeling that this scriptwriter was pointing his finger at Jerry as a person and not base on his performance. In the eyes of many viewers, Jerry had perform quite well for the role of Ah hua and thus, I thought the scriptwriter is very mean and unfair to give Jerry a pathetic 20 points for his acting and effort. But the main problem that lack to this whole thing is the communication breakdown between the scriptwriter and the producer. Why? Because the scriptwriter had written Ah hua in a way but the producer change it without the scriptwriter knowing it. And thus when the whole show was aired, the scriptwriter will get the feeling that Jerry had acted the role wrongly. Poor Jerry had becomes a sacrifice for this communication breakdown.
