Maytime

With warming sun and gentle rain
She beckons silently,
Invites each one into her world
Of new-found greenery.
With Zest renewed, she guides us through
Her gardens all aglow,
Where brighly colored butterflies
Flit lightly to and fro.
With pride she wears her colors bold
On lilac, mum and rose,
And in the greens of grass and trees
True beauty she bestows.
Her magic eases restless hearts
So they can reach their crest;
And I'm convinced God chose this month
For showing off His best.
