I sometimes wish I lived in times of old,
When snow was several feet deep and oh so cold,
Christmas then seemed so sincere,
To those we always hold dear.

Going by sleigh to get from place to place,
Visiting family and meeting face to face,
Spending time together the way it was,
Oh how I wish that's how it still does.

"Go out and Chop down the Christmas tree",
In those times the price was free,
"Stand it in the corner, stand it straight",
When we're finished decorating it will look great.

Oh where oh where did those times go,
They've gone away, only a few still know,
Bring them back so the meaning can stay,
And don't let those feelings ever go away.
