Rocker box for the 6-inch

The rocker box  comes out of the
suitcase unassembled.  It bolts together
using brass threaded inserts such as the
ones shown in the picture below.

The arc was cut on a bandsaw and the
teflon for the altitude bearings was
attached with tiny nails

 Brass and steel threaded inserts are
 available in many sizes at hardware
 stores .  They have wood threads
 on the outside and bolt threads on
 the inside.

 The 'furniture bolt' on the right is
 used to bolt 'edge on' such as at the
 top portion of  the rocker.

  Bottom of rocker box has formica  
  glued on with Liquid Nails

  The pivit bolt is a 3/8" carriage
  bolt with two nuts tightened on
  a lock washer between them
  at the bottom
