Author’s Note: Wow…does it seem like it’s been a year since this fic debuted???…Yeah, actually, it does. LOL. I just want to take time out to say thanks to all my readers. From those that have been with me since the very first day, to those that just joined the Evergreenies fairly recently - I am grateful to all of you. Each and every one of you has played a special part in keeping me writing during these JJ-less years.
I am so thankful that we all fell in love with a character named Lucky Spencer and his love for a girl named Elizabeth. I am even more thankful that we simply REFUSE to let him go (the real one that is). Thank you so much for being as obsessed as I am! Love ya!
And without further ado…
Evergreen First Year Anniversary – Special Edition
"Independence Day"
Oh when the sun beats down and burns the tar upon the roof
And your shoes get so hot you wish your tired feet were fireproof
Under the boardwalk, down by the sea, yeah
On a blanket with my baby is where I’ll be
Under the boardwalk – out of the sun
Under the boardwalk – we’ll be having some fun
Under the boardwalk – people walking above
Under the boardwalk – we’ll be making love
Under the boardwalk – boardwalk!
Brooklyn, New York
Coney Island
Lucky glanced at Elizabeth and inhaled deeply through his nose. Trying desperately to clear his head. Yet the smell of warm sea air did nothing to calm his senses as she licked at the chocolate that surrounded her frozen banana. The goody they’d gotten just moments ago disappeared slowly under the talented ministrations of her tongue.
He watched in silent awe and reverent torture as they made their way down the boardwalk. To the sounds of teenagers screaming on the Cyclone and that silly music that only played on carousels. The constant thumping of Elizabeth’s flip-flops provided the base to the soundtrack…along with Lucky’s ever pumping heart.
"Here – here…my turn," Lucky said quickly, taking the cold treat from her and letting her hold his saltwater taffy instead. It was much safer for her to eat something like that. "Try this."
Elizabeth huffed and her brow scrunched together. "I don’t want taffy, I want my banana – gimme!" She retorted, nearly jumping to grab it from his clutches.
Desperate for just a moment’s reprieve, he held it above her head. He knew it was a dirty trick, but jeez-louise how much was a man expected to take before he passed out?
"Elizabeth if I have to watch you lick this thing one more time, I’m gonna lose my mind."
An eyebrow rose suggestively upon Liz’s forehead as she brought her arm down and continued to walk. She was shameless, but that little comment made her put even more of a swivel in her hips. He liked these shorts after all. He REALLY liked them.
The denim was worn and the legs frayed at her thighs but she didn’t care. She usually only wore them to paint in, but this was a special occasion. She’d needed something cool to wear to the beach right? She’d had no other choice.
Elizabeth grinned slyly. They’d only arrived a little while ago, and already Lucky was jonsing for a certain something. A certain something that had him yanking bananas out of her hands.
It did a girl’s ego good.
"You’re gonna have to hold out cowboy…we’re in public for God’s sake," she grinned. Jumping up and grabbing the piece of chocolate covered fruit from his hands. "My turn."
Lucky groaned and bit into his saltwater taffy the way a lion would rip the head off of some poor defenseless animal. "Elizabeth, please refrain from using my dad’s nickname for me, when we’re talking about sex."
She giggled aloud and grabbed his hand. "I’m sorry Sweetie…come on."
They both quieted after a moment. Taking in all the sights and sounds of the historical landmark that they were seeing for the first time together.
The place was packed. Tourists and native New Yorkers alike, all scattered around the park looking for a good time on the 4th of July. It smelled like salty air and salty food with a touch of cotton candy. Like French fries, hot dogs, and little kids doused with tons of SPF.
"Did you remember to –
"Yes," Elizabeth smiled, turning towards Lucky as he ran one finger down the arms that her tank top bared. He always remembered things like that, and thankfully his sense of responsibility was starting to wear off on her. How could it be that the responsibility that her parents had desperately tried to teach her was only now sinking in under Lucky’s tutelage? ‘Because he doesn’t TRY to teach you anything…and he doesn’t make you feel stupid,’ she thought.
"SPF-60...or something," Elizabeth finished, smiling back at him.
Lucky laughed as he followed her to stake out their territory. Scooting up beside her to whisper seductively in her ear. "Damn I was hoping I could help you with that."
Elizabeth grinned back slyly. Glancing over her shoulder as they trudged their way through the warm sand. The swish, swish of it flowing into their sandals a welcome change from the solid ground of New York.
"Well I didn’t say I got ALL the important spots…I think there are still a few very, VERY important parts that remain ‘unblocked,’ if you will."
Biting his lip, Lucky nodded slowly. "I believe I will."
Elizabeth sighed and slipped her hand into his. Leading them closer to the water. The surf was high enough to hear each crashing wave against the shore, but low enough for tons of little kiddies to go wading. It’d be cool to people watch.
"How bout here?" Lucky asked as the perfect spot came into view. Elizabeth nodded happily. She’d been about to pick the same exact spot on the sand. How did he always do that?
Grabbing the biggest beach towel known to man from their picnic basket, Lucky layed it out on the sand and watched as Elizabeth plopped down on it.
She was happy. This had been a good choice.
"So what do you want to do first?!" She asked excitedly, squirming around like a child on Christmas morning. Eager to open her presents.
Reaching back into the picnic basket, Lucky unscrewed the bottle of sun block and gestured for Elizabeth to take off her shirt. "I wanna feel you up a little bit first."
"Oooh," she giggled, pulling her tank top off.
Lucky tried not to gawk for too long, but it was…it was a two-piece for God’s Sake. He hadn’t expected that.
"What?" Elizabeth asked. Suddenly a little self-conscious over the way Lucky was staring. Opened mouth. A little wide-eyed. "What is it? Do I look stupid? Ugh, I knew I should have worn the –
His lips silenced hers as Lucky reached out and cupped her head in his hands. God, she smelled like flowers, and sugar, and salt, and sand…everything a man could ask for. He could devour her whole right here and right now.
Why the heck had he decided they should stray from their apartment for Independence Day? At least if they had driven to his parents they could have made out in his room like normal people, or go over to his old place above the bike shop…but no – he’d wanted to take her somewhere different. Someplace he could afford.
Lucky pulled away after a moment and staring deep into her dazed blue eyes. THAT was why. Because she looked happy. So extremely…happy. Every thought that was in his seemed to vanish upon that reminder.
"You’re beautiful."
And even when a girl that looked like a supermodel walked by in string bikini a split-second later, Elizabeth believed it. Because his eyes hadn’t once strayed from hers. Because he made her feel like a goddess every time he looked at her. Every time he touched her.
That’s what had given her the courage to buy these ridiculously small strips of material in the first place. That and the fact that the last time she’d been to Port Charles, Emily had MADE her. Telling her it was one of those ‘must buy.’ That if you were one of those one in 500,000 people fortunate enough to look good in a bikini…you couldn’t deny yourself the pleasure.
She’d gone with a hip sort of burnt burgundy metallic color, because he’d always said he liked her in that shade. The way he was looking at her now…she’d have to kiss Emily the next time she saw her.
"How ‘bout you…" she gestured. Biting the corner of her lip. "I wouldn’t want any of your lovely…parts to burn."
Her eyes traveled over his body and Lucky pulled off his gray tank top. The one that she seemed to really like for some reason. She was always mentioning something about the top of it and the way it sat on his collarbone. He never understood these things, but she definitely made it clear that she liked it when he wore it. Made it clear by licking him right on that certain…
"Damn," Lucky hissed, as her teeth grazed him lightly. Exactly in that spot.
"Oh, that’s right," Elizabeth grinned as she pulled away. "We’re supposed to be putting sun block on."
Lucky nodded slowly but she wasn’t making any move towards the bottle. Instead she let her fingers drift slowly down the line that separated his pectorals and branched out into each distinguished compartment of his abdominal muscles.
"You," she breathed quietly. Slowly moving into his lap. Her mouth encircled one diamond-studded earlobe, and she licked until she felt him hiss through his teeth again. Was it her or the hot summer sun that was causing his skin to sizzle? "You look good enough to eat in these."
And as she said ‘these,’one of her hands was busy exploring the deep blue trunks that he wore. The kind that sported lacing at the top to fasten the waist. The legs hanging down to just over his knee. A black racer stripe going up each side. Her fingers slid from his flat stomach to those laces.
Biting his lip, he closed his hand around hers. Stilling her fingers before they started to untie and unleash something that neither of them was ready to do in broad day light…in public.
"Who the Hell needs fireworks?…My Sweetie is frisky this afternoon isn’t she?"
Elizabeth groaned and forced herself to turn around in his lap, Lucky’s long legs flanking her hips. She felt his excitement press light against her from behind and wondered why they’d strayed from the apartment today.
‘Because you hinted at wanting to go out,’ Elizabeth’s brain reminded. ‘And he ALWAYS takes your hints…even when you don’t know you’re giving them.’
Lucky slathered some sun block on his hands and slid his fingers up her back. Elizabeth bit her lip and her eyes rolled heavenward as the warm cream smoothed over her skin under the direction of his long, firm fingers.
They were supposed to stay out here all day long? Long enough to watch the fireworks?
She inhaled deeply through her nose and watched as a couple kissed by the seashore. The question was completely random but it had suddenly jumped into her head. "What would you do if we got stranded on a desert island?"
Lucky grinned secretively behind Elizabeth and pushed the brown wicker basket in front of her. "I’d make sure we had a basket of brownies ready to go."
Elizabeth reached behind her and smacked his leg. Letting her hand linger there for a bit to ease the sting.
"Ow! Woman!" He said chuckling. Knowing she hadn’t been talking about food. He sobered up. "Ok…deserted island…
"Well," he said thinking. He leaned forward suddenly. Brushing her hair away from her ear to whisper in it. She shivered immediately. "I guess the first thing I need to know is…are we naked?"
Slithering against him, Elizabeth nodded. And his fingers worked their way under the string that tied around her back. "I think so…Aside from that little loincloth you where."
He shook his head and scrunched his nose. "What I SHOULD have asked is, are YOU naked."
"Of course not!" Elizabeth said indignantly with a toss of her hair as Lucky’s hands stilled on her back. "I’ve got coconuts."
She nearly jumped out of her skin when Lucky ran his tongue along her shoulder and growled. "Oh man…I think we need to ride something before both of lose our minds…
"Too late," Elizabeth said. Hooking an arm around his neck to bring his lips to hers from behind. "I’m already there."
Lucky sat the bottle of sun block down on the towel and climbed over her, so that he sat before her now. "So tell me about this island," he murmured around her busy lips and tongue.
The sun was bright and people of all ages were milling about in the sand and on the boardwalk. Yet they didn’t seem to care.
More importantly – SHE didn’t seem to care.
What the heck had gotten into her?…Whatever it was – he liked it. He liked it a lot.
"Well," she sighed. Pushing him down on the towel and turning to get the sun block. She unscrewed the bottle once more and straddled him.
She leaned over for a moment. Kissing that beautiful sunlit Adam’s apple of his. "Of course NO one is there but us…but it feels – it feels like this, you know? Warm…the sun…just beating down on us…and I’m even hotter inside…just looking at you in your little…loin cloth…"
Lucky’s hands traveled up her bare stomach and outlined the under wire of her bikini top. God, how he wanted to touch her…everywhere. "And you…" he panted. As her hands slid up his abs and over his chest.
"You’ve just got your little…um…coconuts on, huh?…Think they grow coconuts here?"
Elizabeth giggled and eased her fingertips over his taut nipples. She felt him jump to attention beneath her. "I doubt it…but maybe we could find a mean Pina Colada somewhere around here…since obviously we both need to cool off."
Lucky shook his head against the towel as she worked the lotion over his arms. Squeezing his biceps. "And who’s fault would that be…I was perfectly fine until a certain someone decided to wear her little shorts," he added. Giving the waistband of her denim a firm tug so that she fell against him.
Elizabeth giggled and he felt it move through his own chest. "I have no idea what you’re talking about."
Her voice was throaty and sexy. Her lips so near. Lucky reached behind her. His fingers weaving themselves through her summer streaked hair and bringing her closer and closer until their lips careened. He was never going to "calm down" at this rate, but he didn’t care. All he wanted was spend all day like this. Kissing in the sand. Doing everything they could legitimately ‘get away with’ in the sand. And when they couldn’t ‘get away with it’ anymore…he’d convince her it was time to go home.
He pulled away after a moment and met her eyes. The desire reflecting back, mirroring his own. Shit, they could always watch the fireworks from New York Harbor in the window from their apartment right?
His sigh was long and weary as he pulled away and stood up. Taking deep breaths to try and calm himself down. What he really needed was a cold shower. Something told him he’d be going in that water after all.
"I think there’s a hotdog eating contest going on down at Nathan’s…it’s supposed to be some kind of 4th of July tradition," he suggested weakly.
"Oh no" Elizabeth said. Shaking her head as she reached for his hand and rose to stand next to him. "I don’t want you getting sick on me…we’ve got our own traditions to start."
Two excited eyebrows jutted upwards on Lucky’s forehead. "Feel free to expand."
She bit her lip and said nothing as she pulled him back towards the boardwalk. Expanding would be HIS job…later.

~~ About an Hour and a Half Later ~~
From the park you hear the happy sound of the carousel
Mm-mm you can almost taste the hotdogs and French fries they sell
Under the boardwalk, down by the sea
On a blanket with my baby is where I’ll be
Under the boardwalk – out of the sun
Under the boardwalk – we’ll be having some fun
Under the boardwalk – people walking above
Under the boardwalk – we’ll be making love
Under the boardwalk – boardwalk!
They swung their arms back and forth between each other as they strolled along. Lucky pulling Elizabeth one way, Elizabeth pulling Lucky another way when he strayed. He wrapped his arms around her from behind when they stood in line. Planting his feet on the side of hers as they made their way through the continuous maze outside of the Wonder Wheel.
He leaned down to kiss her cheek as they waited to board the huge Ferris wheel that had been built in the 1920’s. The sun was beginning its descent, painting the sky in pink and orange and casting shadows along the water. Elizabeth inhaled deeply and Lucky’s arms tightened around her stomach from behind.
"I love you," he whispered as they started to move again in line. Waddling their way forward, with his feet still against hers.
"I love you too," she answered, craning around to meet his lips. They kissed like that for a few moments. Not realizing how much time had went by until the ride conductor began ‘aheming’ all over the place, and a few disgruntled patrons behind them began groaning.
"Oh," Lucky grinned sheepishly. Pulling Elizabeth through the gate by the hand. "Sorry."
"You know…" he began, as they walked quickly around the wheel, searching for a ‘Lucky Car,’ "There are 24 cars…but only 16 of them dip."
Elizabeth’s eyes widened. The thought of such a thrill sending shivers up her spine. "Ooh! I want one that dips…Let’s find one!"
"I’m gonna go with Lucky 7 here," Lucky said as he placed his hands on his hips.
"How do you know it dips?"
"I just know."
"You just know?"
"It’s a hunch."
"A hunch?"
"Do you doubt me woman?"
Elizabeth giggled and stepped into the car with a shake of her head. "No sir…Now be quiet and place your cute little tush in the seat."
Lucky’s eyebrows shot up as he sat down next to her and pulled down the guardrail until it felt secure. Even though he knew the guy would be around in a second to make sure "Yes ma’am."
When the wheel started to turn a few moments later, Elizabeth slid closer to Lucky and wrapped her arms around one of his. Letting her head fall against his shoulder. Things were perfect…just perfect.
She sighed contentedly.
"I thought you weren’t scared of heights?" Lucky asked, his brow tightening in concern.
"I’m not," Elizabeth sighed again. "I just wanna be close to you…You got a problem with that?"
Turning slightly towards her, Lucky let her know with his lips that he had no problem with that what so ever. Wrapping his arms around her as they kissed. Ascending slowly towards the very peak of the ride.
Elizabeth moaned softly as his tongue moved into her mouth and slipped sensually against hers. His arms and his lips so exquisitely warm in the cool early evening.
She suddenly felt like a part of everything. Like the transcendent colors that lit the sky were simply a backdrop to the transcendence that was happening here. To the flight that her heart was taking.
Yet, at the same time she felt strangely separate from everything. Like what was happening here – between she and Lucky was there’s and there’s only. Like no two people on Earth had ever felt this way before. Or loved this much.
A few years ago, on one special Christmas night in a small room above a bike shop, no one could have told her that she would love more than she did at that moment. She wouldn’t have believed them. Wouldn’t have thought it possible. But God help her she did. God help her she loved Lucky with every breath that she took.
Loved him with every fiber of –
"Aaah!"
Lucky guffawed with laughter when the car dipped and Elizabeth broke from his lips in what turned out to be a shockingly loud scream. He guessed she hadn’t believed him when he said he had a hunch, and he couldn’t seem to stop himself from laughing out loud.
It dipped again a split-second later and she grabbed his arm so tightly he thought that maybe she’d broken some skin.
Elizabeth shook him and told him to stop laughing, and he tried – he really did, but he just couldn’t. The look on her face had been so damn funny…and he was just so damn happy all of a sudden - he could cry.
Shit, he was crying. He noticed when she reached up to wipe at the tears that streamed down his cheeks. Breathlessly giggling for him to "stop laughing," in a little girl voice.
He only laughed again and closed the space between them. Kissing her again.
He couldn’t get enough of kissing her.
~~~~~~~
~~ 30 minutes later ~~
Oooh, down by the boardwalk, down by the sea, yeah
On a blanket with my baby is where I’ll be
"Aha!" Elizabeth cried. As they stumbled upon what she’d been secretly looking for all day long. She pointed and jumped up and down when she spotted it. Reminding Lucky of a child in the toy department. God, she must’ve been a cute kid.
Lucky shook his head. Knowing he wasn’t going to win with that ‘look’ on her face. But giving it the old college try anyway.
"Oh no…it made me Claustrophobic when we did it the first time."
"It did not!" Elizabeth countered. "Come on…pllllllleeeeeeeeeeease."
In spite of himself he chuckled and before he could protest, she was dragging him towards the tiny photo booth.
They needed some new pictures, Elizabeth thought. The four that they had taken on their very first night in New York City were in a special little frame at home, but they needed some company. They were getting lonely.
"We should make this a tradition," she continued. Pulling him inside. "We should take some every couple of years."
Sighing, Lucky adjusted his pants and sat down. Pulling her onto his lap…There WERE certain perks to these little booths.
"Eeek!" Elizabeth squealed excitedly as she slipped a few quarters into the machine. And squirmed a little too much for Lucky’s comfort. If she didn’t cut that out every picture they took was going to be pornographic in nature.
She turned to him a moment later. Noticing the grimace on his face, but completely misreading it.
"You know…last time we were in one of these, I didn’t exactly make it worth your while when we got back to the hotel room later that –
"Elizabeth," Lucky countering immediately. He clasped her hand in his. "You made it MORE than worth my while, believe me…All I wanted to do that night was be with you…and just being with you in a place that was all OURS for the night was more than enough."
She smiled at him and leaned down to press her lips gently against his. "I know that…but what I’m trying to say is…I will do MORE than just ‘be’ with you tonight…if you smile pretty for the camera."
Lucky grinned softly and sighed. "I’d do just about anything you wanted me to do right now Elizabeth."
And when she leaned down to kiss him again the camera snapped. Catching them frame by frame as Lucky reached up and knit his fingers through her hair, bringing her closer to his lips with every passing second. Wanting nothing more than to kiss her absolutely senseless.
She was absolutely the most gorgeous thing in the world and more photos of her around the house couldn’t be a bad thing, Lucky thought. Even he was in them.
Elizabeth moaned as his hands moved from her hair to her neck to her bare arms. She shivered in the cool night air and Lucky embraced her fully. She couldn’t help but arch against him and pull her legs up. Draping them across his lap as he continued to kiss her. His tongue danced with hers as the camera flickered once more then sputtered to a stop.
They didn’t hear it. They didn’t notice that the little booth had stopped working. Due to the fact that the ambience was more than ‘working’ for them.
Feeling him self grow more and more excited by the second, Lucky slipped his hand under the tank top that Elizabeth wore. The warm flesh of her flat stomach arousing him even more as he sought out her firm breasts. She moaned something inexplicable into his neck and he kissed the side of her face. Beginning to lower his mouth to the juncture of her neck and shoulder.
Her tongue flicked against his earlobe and he was reminded of how they’d been together on the beach earlier. Lying there in the hot sun. Sweltering not from the weather, but from each other.
The beach had to be dark now. People had to be gathering on the boardwalk to prepare for the fireworks show. No one would come to bother them in here right now…they could just stay here…for awhile…
Elizabeth’s fingers inched between Lucky’s thighs and he jolted even farther to attention. Groaning something awful when she began to nibble more incessantly at his ear. His earring clicking quietly against her teeth.
God he wanted her…
"Let’s go home," he murmured against the small expanse of flesh that the collar of her tank exposed. "I want you…let’s go home."
His fingers slipped beneath the thin band of her bikini top and underneath the flimsy material. Stroking her nipple as she writhed in his lap. She quickly reached for his hand. Panting as she spoke. "I…I…come…come with me."
"That’s exactly what I’m trying to do," Lucky muttered. Sinking his hot mouth down over the stiffened peak that pushed through her tank once more.
Laughing in that hot throaty laugh that did him in, Elizabeth said "No…no…I mean…really – come with me."
She clasped his hand in hers, and gave him a tug. Pulling him outside with her into the cool night air. Although it did nothing to quench the heat that they’d stoked in each other. They both straightened their clothes as they stumbled out.
"Yeah," Lucky mumbled. "I guess we should go get our stuff…the basket and…stuff…before we leave," he said panting.
Elizabeth only nodded and pulled him along.
~~~~~~~
~~ 15 minutes later ~~
Under the boardwalk – out of the sun
Under the boardwalk – We’ll be havin’ some fun
Under the boardwalk - People walking above
Under the boardwalk – We’ll be falling in love
Under the boardwalk – boardwalk!
Lucky stood completely wide-eyed as his girlfriend suggested what he knew she COULDN’T be suggesting…
But she was.
Elizabeth smiled widely and tugged at his arm. "Come on," she giggled girlishly. Pulling him beneath through the sand and beneath the expansive boardwalk.
"What are we doing?" Lucky asked. His voice squeaking a bit as he allowed himself to be pulled down to the sand. She was insane! And it was turning him on like crazy.
Spreading out their large towel once more. Elizabeth gazed at him innocently. Batting her eyelashes. "I just wanted to have some privacy with you……while we watch the fireworks of course."
Lucky nodded knowingly, but played along with fire in his eyes. "The fireworks...yeah."
"The fireworks," Elizabeth repeated with a grin. Looking like the cat that was about to eat the canary.
It wasn’t a total fib after all. If all went as planned they’d be setting off some very real sparks of their own in a few minutes. And they’d be a lot more damned exciting than the ones that were about to be set off above the board.
Elizabeth lay back on the towel. Smiling seductively at Lucky as he watched. He began to crawl towards her, with the moonlight as a backdrop for his smoldering blue eyes. He sat up to remove the tank top that he wore and she licked her lips. Reaching out for him.
When he stretched out and lay atop of her, Elizabeth giggled and squealed. "Why Mr. Spencer!…I came down here to watch fireworks with you…what EVER do you think you’re doing?"
His lips pressed against hers. Smothering her voice in the back of her throat as his hand slid up her thigh and inside the leg of her fraying shorts.
"Oooh! Oh! THAT’S what you’re doing!" She sighed as his fingers pressed into the core of her desire. Slicking his fingers against the bikini bottoms that were already moist.
He growled against her ear. The only discernable words against her neck, telling her that he’d wanted her all day long…and that he was about to show her just how much. She shivered at the thought. And when his talented fingers found their way beneath the elastic of the bikini she shivered again.
Lucky found her wet and wanting, and immediately removed his hand so that he could unbutton the denim confines. Wanting to feel all of her against his hands.
But her eager fingers impeded his progress, wanting to attack the laces that held up his trunks instead. Wanting to wrap her self around the thick manhood that pressed against her in the darkness.
One of her hands slid up his back. His skin, already damp in the cool moonlight. Humidity and desire moistened his flesh. Her fingertips dug homes for themselves in that warmth and her other hand slipped instantly inside his shorts.
He groaned loudly when her small but strong hand gripped his hard shaft like a vice. Grateful that the people above them were so loud. And that no one was going to hear what was about to get very vocal.
His hips thrust forward in her hands as she slid them up and down. He braced his elbows over her head and Elizabeth spread her thighs wider for him. Giving him better access to press against her aching body when she removed her hand from the inside of his shorts. When his lower body humped hers, she cried out in the darkness.
The incredible heat was too much to bear. The clothing between them too much of a barrier as he writhed against her again and again. Making her dig her fingernails into his back and then the towel underneath her bottom.
She felt like she was sinking. Sinking into the unstable surface beneath them as his weight pressed against hers, and the burn became excruciating. Her legs rose at his hips, and she used her feet to push his trunks down to his feet. Enabling him to kick them off the rest of the way by himself.
Her hands began roaming wildly. Down his strong back, down the taut muscles of his buttocks. Wondering wantonly over his naked, salty flesh. He was sleek and streamlined everywhere. His body full of pent up tension from a day of holding back.
His hands pushed roughly at the tank top that she wore. Dragging it up her body and over her head when she lifted a bit to aid him. When it was off, he bent to take her in his mouth. And she pressed her fingertips into his straining biceps as his white-hot tongue lapped at her through the tiny triangles that covered her chest.
Blue desire sparkled in his eyes when that same tongue worked it’s way under the skimpy cups of the bathing suit. Pushing it aside to feast on her puckered nipples.
He wanted to taste every inch of her, and he knew she wanted it too.
His hands were unzipping the shorts that she wore and pushing them down. Leaving her bathing suit bottom in place as he rocked against her. Pressing her farther into the sand as his mouth devoured and his hips thrust into hers time and time again.
Elizabeth hissed through her teeth bucked beneath him. Winding her fingers through his freshly sheared summer locks. The perpetual state of bed-head having brought her to the breaking point for days now. It was his summer haircut – his yummy haircut.
When her hands began pushing gently on his head, Lucky knew instantly what she wanted. The tasting that he’d thought of just seconds before.
He slid slowly down her body. Hearing her whimper at his molasses like pace. When his tongue slid up the burgundy fabric she pulled at his hair and cried once more. Bucking upwards with her hips again. Silently pleading.
Lifting her lower body, Lucky slowly wrapped his fingers around the elastic band of the last barrier between them. Pressing his fingers into her sides as he slipped the soaked piece of material down inch by inch of her body.
His tongue couldn’t wait. He began to minister to her desperate need before they were even all the way off. Licking and pushing inside.
Her hips undulated under his mouth like that of a slithering snake. Wanting to give, and wanting him to take her as far over the edge as he could without letting go. Her breathing was so hard and so fast he could hear her even over the crowd’s growing excitement above them. Even above the announcer saying that it was almost time.
Indeed it was almost time, Lucky thought. His body throbbing incessantly. Relentlessly as he took himself in his hand and continued to lick and nibble at her heated femininity. She started to say his name. Over and over and over again in the cooling sand.
The explosion that ricocheted through her body a moment later made his name louder on her lips and he almost came at the same time…Almost. He lapped at her sated body, waiting only a few seconds for her to calm down. His body reminding him that he needed her now. Couldn’t wait another minute.
Lucky crawled up towards her face. Her writhing becoming slower and slower. Her limbs sprawled against the towel underneath them.
His fingers trailed over her cheek and down her neck. Her skin glistening in the moonlight with beads of sensual sweat. Lifting one of her hands in his. He used both of their fingers now to drift across her breasts. Traveling from peak to peak and then down the center of her body until he met the apex of her thighs again. Watching as her fingers, carried in his slipped slowly through her slick folds.
Elizabeth groaned from somewhere deep inside herself and spread her thighs for him once more, sighing as he settled between them quickly. Knowing he was too hard and wanting to wait another second.
He ached to be inside her. Ached to be…
"Aaaah," Lucky groaned forcefully. As the tunnel of her body engulfed him in fathomless heat. Pulling him as deep as he’d ever been. She lifted her weak legs and he slipped farther into the abyss.
Elizabeth whimpered and moved slowly beneath him. Wanting to feel what she’d felt just seconds ago, again. Wanting that explosion once more as she brought him with her this time.
He moved hesitantly at first and she knew…she knew it was because he wanted so much more. Knew that he wanted all of her and was simply afraid he’d lose control. "More Lucky," she panted. "More."
Sinking his teeth into her moist neck, he withdrew and then pushed his rock hard body back inside. Pushing and thrusting like crazy as her fingers slid up the back of his neck and through his hair. Licking his shoulders, whispering for more. Begging for more.
Lifting slightly above her. Lucky used one hand to grip her thigh as he began to rock them both into places unknown. Sending every never ending she had into orbit as the countdown to show time began above them.
Voices and laughter floated in and out of their consciousness as Lucky pumped his body senselessly in and out of hers. "Faster," she panted furiously as he drove him self against her like an animal in heat.
She responded equally. As they pushed each other to the breaking point. Wanting nothing less than 100% as they crested over some unspeakable pinnacle of pleasure. Cresting like the waves did against the shore a few yards away.
She could barely hear those waves though. Could only hear her own heart beating rapidly in her ears. How own blood boiling.
Elizabeth’s body began to quake around him and Lucky knew his end was only a millisecond away. Knew as her walls contracted deliriously around him that he would detonate like a stick of unpredictable dynamite.
The first explosion though, came from the fireworks above them as the sky lit up like the tail end of a rocket. Purples and pinks and reds illuminating the atmosphere in a spectacular array of color as Lucky and Elizabeth exploded as one. Shaking the earth as fireworks burst through the sky and shattered into a shower of sparkles.
The same shower of sparkles seemed to rain over them as each of their bodies clenched once more and then began to relax. Slowly…luxuriously as each of them panted. Descending from a high of such enormous proportions that they didn’t quite comprehend how it could have been. How it got better and better with each moment.
Lucky slowly withdrew from her beautiful, wet body and lay his head against her heaving chest. Allowing the breeze to blow against their skin for a moment before wrapping them both up in the towel that surrounded them.
He eased it against their slowly chilling forms as they lay there. Footsteps and voices mere murmurs above them as they clung wondrously to one another. Desperately in love and exquisitely alive.
Looking up into her eyes, Lucky smiled. The fireworks lighting up against her skin made her glow. He kissed her between the moist valley of her breasts and lay his head there to listen to her heartbeat.
It was better than any music he’d ever hear, and it beat crazily for him. He knew, like he knew his own name that she loved him just as much as he loved her. Well, almost as much…For it’d be impossible for her to love him like he loved her…Just impossible.
He wrapped his arms tightly around her, and rocked them both slightly. He always knew that he’d spend the rest of his life with this woman. But he hadn’t known it’d be THIS woman. A woman so absolutely insane, that they’d just made love under a boardwalk at a world famous amusement park.
Not just any kind of love making either…wild – insane – animal in heat kind of love.
A woman so fabulously crazy that he smiled with every breath that he took. God, he was Lucky. He really, really was.
Independence Day had turned into something more than just a holiday. It had turned into THEIR day. Something special that defined what they were. And who they were as a couple. How they would be the rest of their lives.
Carefree and in love…wildly in love.
Her sweet voice interrupted his brain’s ramblings.
"Happy 4th of July, Lucky."
"Happy 4th Sweetie."
