*the first episode*
the episode begins with miaka yuuki daydreamiing about food in school....she is then awakened by her teacher who she promptly hits with her desk. Later on miaka is walking home from school with her best friend yui hongo, yui stops at the national library to return a book, while miaka hangs out by the juice machines. Miaka sees a strange red bird and follows it, leadiing her to a room marked "important documents reference room" yui catches up to her and laughs at her for thinking there was a bird in the building. They enter the room anyway and look around. A book falls unaided from the shelf, they look at it. its called the "shi jin ten sho" or "universe of the four gods". yui opens it and begins to read. "this is the story of the girl who single-handedly gathered the seven suzaku shichiseishi and gained the power to make her dreams come true. the story itself is an incantation, whoever reads it gains the main characters power, this is because once the page is turned the story becoomes real and begins." miaka and yui look at each other and then are consumed by a bright red light and disappear. They awaken in a desolate area completely alone, They get up and woonder where they are. They are attacked by thugs who attempt to steal them to sell as slaves, miaka does a preety good job of beatiing them up but she can't beat them on her own. Just then a mysterious stranger with the mark of ogre on his forehead appears and comes to their rescue. Once he fiinishes kicking the crap out of all the thhugs and they run away he turns towards the girls...they thank him for saviing them. He asks them for money as payment for saving their lives. Yui says they don't have any money, so he basically calls them poor and starts to walk off. Yui gets mad at him and starts to follow him while miaka searches through her pockets to see if she has any change.Yui is suddennly consumed by the red light and disapears. When miaka finally looks up and turns around she finds herself completely alone. Yui has disappeared and the stranger has left.***yui back in the real world*** Yui finds herself back in the real world alone in the librarry. She doesn't know what else to do so she picks up the book and starts reading. She realizes that everything that just happened to her is written in the book. She keeps reading. ***Miaka is on the back of a farmers wagon in the book world getting a ride into a city.. The city looks just like ancient China. She begins looking for the stranger with the mark of ogre thinking that maybe he took yui or he knows where she is. She sees him, but a little overwhemed by the liveliness of the city that she loses him in the crowd. She walks around asking people if they've seen a guy with the mark of ogre. Then, miaka gets one of those hungry attacks and stops looking to go find food. She buys some but has to run off when the shopkeeper gets mad at her for usiing foreign money. ***We now see the stranger with the mark of ogre sitting by a stand picking his teeth with a stick. He over hears two guys talking about a "strangely dressed girl who payed for food with foreign mmmoney and is looking for a man with the mark of ogre on his forehead", He asks the men if there were two strangely dressed girls and they say no. So he stupidly assumes that this isn't the girl that he saved earlier. *** Miaka is sitting on a crate-like thing, feeling slightly depressed that she's kinda lost in a strange world and she can't seem to find the one person who may or may not be able to explain it to her. Just then a really nice looking guy walks up to her says something like" I see your walking around alone and i'm walking around alone so why don't we walk together?" He basically starts trying to pick her up and miaka gets all excited cause she's getting hit on.She tells him she really shouldn't cause she's looking for someone and then he says, "the guy with the mark of ogre?" and then shes like yeah, and then he's like" i'll take you to him, he's a friend of mine," So miaka follows him. They walk for a really long time when finally he says that they're there. A bunch of street thugs jump out and miaka realizes that he's not a nice guy after all and thata he tricked her into following him. The street thugs start trying to mess with her, and she does another pretty good job of beating them up but she can't do it on her own. Just as they catch her the guy with the mark of ogre on his forehead comes and he's standiing on a rooftop and he looks all cool and stuff cause he's tossing a rock in the air and catching it in oone hand, then he says "four guys, agaiinst one girl? And you call yourself men?" Then he promptly begiins kicking their asses. Miaka just kinda watches. He finishes kicking their asses. This is the end of eppisode one..................by meg.
