18th 1970- US release of Ringo's single "Oh My My/Sep Lightly" (Apple). stayed 14 weeks on Billboard chart; highest position #5.

19th 1977- Ringo Starr (And Harry Nilsson) is a guest presenter at the Grammy Awards ceremony in the US.

21st 1975- UK release of Ringo single "Snookeroo/Oo Wee" (Apple)

24th 1989- US release of Ringo CD and LP "Starr Struck: Best of Ringo Starr Vol. 2" (Rhino) 4 songs are not included on the LP ("Attention", "Who Needs a Heart", "Hopeless", and "You Belong to Me".)

March=

4th 1991- UK re-release of Ringo album "Ringo" on CD, with bonus tracks. ("Down and Out", "It Don't Come Easy", and "Early 1970".) (EMI) Also reissued on cassette.

6th 1970- Ringo solo album "Sentimental Journey" was completed and ready for pressing.

15th 1970-At Talk of the Town, Ringo shoots a promotion film of himself singing the title song from Sentimental Journey to promote the album.

19th 1964- Ringo comes up with the name "A Hard Day's Night" for the new film.

27th 1970- The album Sentimental Journey released in the UK.

By the time the Beatles asked him to join, Ringo was on his way to supporting himself though drumming. He had received an offer to work in Hamburg with Tony Sheridan which included a flat, a car, and £30 a week. When he declined and returned to Liverpool to play with Rory, he soon received two offers: "I got another offer at the same time, from King Size and the Dominoes. He offered about £20 a week (About $370 in 1997 U.S. dollars). The Beatles offered £25, so I took them."
